Waited 30 minutes for 2 drinks and barely anyone in their stalls. My drink was a cherry slush with Powerade flavor for electrolytes cause of the hot weather and didn't even get it in my slush even though I paid for extra flavor. Also it was just about melted by the time i got it. The set up of the place is also weird. There were about 25 stalls and only about 10 open and working. Went twice, thinking we would give them a second chance. Both times we ordered on the app and it took well over 30 minutes past our expected pick up time. Is there much to say about Sonic? Maybe, maybe not. Clearly based on other reviews this place might be hit or miss but in February 2021 and the days we went, it was good. First time going there and we ordered a bunch of food to try Crispy chicken sandwich, chili dog, fries, jalapeño bites, burger, grape nerds slushie and more. We turned on an episode of Bob's Burgers and ate until we were beyond full. The food was what you would expect, inexpensive, hot, fast and did the job. I really liked the chili dog and the burger and the slushie was sweet but very satisfying. Not sure that one person could drink it all but we shared it between 3 people and that was sufficient for us. I have to say that the ice at Sonic is the absolutely best. Better than Chic-Fil-A. I would go here just for the ice. We returned a second time for milkshakes after almost going to the expensive place with the fancy milkshakes at the pier but do I really want to spend over 50 bucks for ice cream and sugary treats? Nope, not this trip anyway. So we got a bunch of milkshakes from peanut butter cup and Oreo to vanilla and they were great and considered money well spent. Would revisit sonic for sure for the chili dogs, ice and milkshakes. The gentlemen who brought our food was super chill and nice enough after I said something to encourage him and make him smile because I'm sure it can be a thankless job and I know some customers can be a handful to deal with. I pulled right into a car slot and took my time reading the menu. I pushed the red button when I was ready and got someone right away. I could hear them fine, but they had difficulty hearing me. *lengthy review* It was the last night of my cousin's graduation vacation tonight, and we were on the way to get her a tattoo before we went home. She hadn't eaten yet so we went to Sonic hoping for service as good as it is in our hometown, Athens, GA. There were only four of us, and they allowed three of us to order on the patio, but didn't let our cousin (the graduate) order, so she got in the drive-thru line so she could eat with us. The three of us that ordered got our food in approx. 15 minutes; however, my order was wrong, and the guy who brought it out to me was sweet and fixed the problem quickly. My cousin in the drive-thru; however, was in line for an hour. And once we got to the window, we waited an additional 15 minutes without any interaction with the employees. They gave my cousins EMPTY mozzarella sticks (how that even happens idk) and didn't give her the chicken she asked for. It was quite displeasing and it is a shame that there are employees that are suffering because of a few bad apples that ruin the whole batch (one of the girls with us talked to the manager and the manager didn't say a word-- apparently there were only five workers that night and two weren't doing anything? their words, not ours). Employee had no idea how to count back change. Received wrong food order multiple times. Charged full price during happy hour. Most of the time they do drive thru only but you don't know that until you've been sitting at a stall for 10 minutes waiting for them to answer the red button. There was a car ahead of me and they would not take his order. A car pulled up in back of me and I was trapped in the line. Another 20 minutes went by and the car in back of me gave up and left.
