BLUF: Neat building, ok food, bar out back looks like a good time…read more I love the building that Cowgirl Kitchen is located in. It reminds me of a mid-century diner or service station that you would have seen on historic Route 66. While indeed a mid-century building dating back to the 1950s, it was originally a cottage in Seagrove Beach. I love that the owners had the historic cottage relocated when it was threatened by a new subdivision being built in Seagrove. The logistics at Cowgirl Kitchen are that you order inside and then a server will bring the food out to you. We choose to sit on the front patio for a serene environment but I can tell the people out back at Boxcar Annie's were having a great time enjoy live music and cocktails. For food we had a round of grouper sandwiches and a side of chips. My sandwich was good. My sister's was undercooked - pink and jelly-like at the thickest portion. I am sure the staff would have been glad to remedy the situation but we frankly didn't feel like waiting in line at the counter again and then waiting for them to put the fish back on the flattop, or however its cooked. She ate around the undercooked part and we moved on with our day. Another thing that is nice about Cowgirl Kitchen is that it's right net to "The Stalls of 30A" - a unique and fun shopping experience. I always appreciate when I can eat, drink and shop and not have to move the car!

My wife and I met her colleagues at the bar multiple times while I also ate breakfast at 1936 twice. Some of the staff were helpful and others didn't seem like they wanted to be there during breakfast. The food was all-around good. At the same time, the bar staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to be helpful. They were familiar with the obscure cocktail requests that my friend made without referencing a recipe book. Special thanks to Dulce and Benjamin at the bar!! The breakfast menu at 1936 includes Light Start items, Chef's Sunrise Specials, The Southern Griddle items, a Kids' Menu, and side dishes. On both days, my guest and I each ordered an Inn Breakfast consisting of two eggs cooked to your preference, Applewood smoked bacon, Logan Turnpike grits or breakfast potatoes, and biscuit or toast. My first day, I ordered toast along with bacon and breakfast potatoes with two eggs scrambled. The second day, I ordered a biscuit with breakfast potatoes with fruit instead of bacon. Everything was tasty! 1936 is open for Camp Creek Inn guests along with WaterSound Club members to enjoy its lounge and bar. It was named for the company's founding year and considers itself to offer an elevated yet warm and comfortable bar and relaxed lounge. It is considered to be the ideal place to gather for lighter fare and happy hour in the evening. 1936 is open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM. The bar is open until 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. Visit the 1936 website at https://watersoundclub.com/dining/1936 to see a gallery of images of 1936 along with the various menus. They have a breakfast menu (7-10:30 AM daily), a lunch and dinner menu, a drink menu, and a Golf Course Grab 'N Go menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're at the Camp Creek Inn!

We were provided access to these locations and even enjoyed some meals and walking around WaterSound Club areas. As a guest of the Camp Creek Inn, we were provided exclusive access to the private WaterSound Beach Club amenities with complimentary shuttles (daily 8 AM to 9 PM). The beach is private and not open to the general public though we had access because of the WaterSound Club. The Beach Club offers two 7,000 square foot pools, a spacious pool deck, and over a mile of private beach with complimentary chair and umbrella setups along with paddle board and kayak rentals. There are also several dining venues there, too. To be a part of the WaterSound Club as a member, there is a hefty initiation fee with monthly dues though staying at a hotel like the Camp Creek Inn allows us access as if we are a member without being an actual member. Some of the restaurants that we went to include the Bark 'N Brine at the Camp Creek Inn and the Beach Break Grill at the Beach Club. Both of these had similar but different food offerings and mostly similar drink menus. They also both offered happy hour with half price select appetizers and drink specials. We also enjoyed walking along the beach though it was a cloudy and somewhat rainy day when no one was on the beach but we still saw some WaterSound staff working. We also enjoyed the pool at the Camp Creek Inn. I'm sure there were a lot of other aspects of the WaterSound Club we could have explored, and should we visit the area again, we'll gladly do so. In the meanwhile, learn more about the WaterSound Club at https://watersoundclub.com.
