I have yet to be to a 4 or 5 star Sonic, this one is no different, tho it's not the worst. The ordering stations were way high, we are in an SUV, these stall stations are high enough a truck with a 6 inch lift would be perfect for them. Plus they were a little dim and hard to see. The scanner to pay for the food, it wasn't working at all. I always dislike that because the attendant can't add tips when they have to run credit card inside the building. The one bonus, the breakfast burritos were fresh and hot. The supersonic burrito is my favorite with all of the flavors mixed in. It was also a really nice size for once. read more

Bought a chocolate Oreo shake, paid 8$, had to turn around and come back because it was sour tasting like the milk had gone bad. The server stated that it was a new recipe and a lot of people disliked it, she fixed me up and brought me another bit this time vanilla. Still sour tasting like spoiled milk. Genuinely inedible. Super disappointed, spent so much money on ice cream just to not be able to eat it. Not sure if this is the new recipe or just the milk they use but it was absolutely abhorrent. I truly don't get Sonic. I've seen the commercials and thought maybe it'd be good but it's just a trashy fast food burger with fries that aren't as good as McDonalds' fries. I gave it a shot, won't again. A little weird if you have an oversized vehicle, they want you to stand at one of the car pull-ups to order and pay instead of helping you at a proper walk-up window. So I never review fast food joints, but I just can't let this go. The people at this location are always super sweet, but whoever handles the drink orders, never really pays attention I guess. I have probably been to this location at least a dozen times, and each time I ask for EZ ice. Every time, they read it back and show it on the screen, and then when I get my drink, it is full of ice! My large drink takes about seven sips to get all the liquid out of because of all the ice. I am consistently let down, and I guess I'm going to have to quit going. I went to try their foot long coneys because they had a special for $1.99. The chili and condiments were fine ,the bun was bland, but the actual hot dog was awful. I don't know if it was spoiled or just really poor quality but I tried it separately to find out what was making this taste bad. And they use a sweet batter for their onion rings and pretzels that make them taste strange. So I will only go back for their drinks. read more

I tried ordering using the Sonic app at this location but the app wouldn't work so I pressed the button and asked if they would honor the 1/2 price drink offer for ordering on the app and he said no. I asked for the manager who also said no because "the app is for sonic as a whole and we (at 2219 Colorado Blvd, Denton, TX 76205) aren't associated with it". He asked if there was anything else he could do for me and I replied that I would like him to honor the price since the app wasn't working and he "hung up on me" and refused to answer me through the speaker. This is crap. This is a medium chili-cheese tots. I was a GM for Sonic for 13 years. I'm well-aware of food cost and portioning. Perhaps it's been modified since, but the small used to be 12-15 tots. This medium barely has that. When I talked to the carhop he said "I can make you another one, but it's going to look exactly the same." Smartass. What does that fix? Ordered and paid for 2 Cokes with extra vanilla but received a Dr Pepper and a Root Beer, not drinks we like. cheeseburger patty was very thin, not seasoned and watery...threw over half of it away. So I have been to quite a few Sonics, in a few different states. I honestly I almost always have terrible service, and crappy food. The food being gross has become such a pattern, that I tend to stick to just the drinks. Today while driving from Colorado, I decided to give Sonic another go. I was pleasantly surprised!!! Jamie helped me out, and his customer service was impeccable. He had a big ole' smile every time I saw him run out food to a car. Not to mention the mozzarellas sticks/corn dog I ordered were PERFECT. This was a very happy visit for me! All these bad reviews sound like some haters. I give up, I've lived in St Paul Texas since August and have had some of the worst service and food from the St Paul Sonic...I'm going to drive a little further to Wylie or Murphy just to avoid the aggravation. Went there today ordered a espresso shake and cheese stik...the clerk told me that they didn't make espresso shake at this location,,, but the big sign out front clearly read "try our new espresso shake".. well they didn't bring me my cheese stiks but they did bring the shake, lid wasn't on very well so I spilled it all over my car.. not the first time... I have gotten drinks from this location with so much stuff on the outside of the cup that I have to clean the cup and my hands....these people just don't give a damn... I've gotten a hamburger that was so cold I couldn't eat it....
