I'm not going to lie, this place and I used to have a love/hate relationship. Sometimes my order would be right, sometimes not. However, the past year or so they have been perfect. All of my orders have been spot on, and the staff delivering my food always are in a good positive mood with a smile on their face. These changes make me want to come here much more than in the past. I also love the selection of beverages. The popcorn chicken is also super good. I definitely recommend. Also if the garlic burger is available (is right now but comes and goes) try it! One bacon smasher had 0 bacon, one burger was ordered with no lettus and was given extra lettus, ordered a chicken bite combo and got 0 chicken. Horrible experience. Absolutely disgusting. This was hands down the worst fast food experience I've ever had, and that's saying something. Sonic Drive-In should be ashamed of what they served us--and I use the word "served" loosely because that implies service actually happened. We waited in the drive-thru line for nearly 25 minutes. For what? Cold, stale disappointment. The food was practically fossilized by the time we got it. Burgers? Lukewarm and soggy. Fries? Limp, like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp since breakfast. But the true crime against humanity? The mozzarella sticks. No. Cheese. In. Them. Let me say that again louder for the people in the back: THEY SERVED US HOLLOW MOZZARELLA STICKS. Just empty, greasy shells. It was like biting into crunchy air--crunchy, sad air. Who knew mozzarella sticks could be a metaphor for broken expectations? Consistently bad, tonight this sonic outdid itself for bad. I arrived about 7:30 pm, slots were about half full. I pushed the red button and waited. And waited. A full 15 minutes later someone came on to take my order, which consisted of three ice-cream based deserts. The response? "Ice Cream is a 35 minute wait tonight, would you like to wait for your order?" I'd like to say this is new, but it happens pretty regularly. Kind of sad. Shaking my head, I left. It was around 10 o'clock at night. I went to the grocery store to go pick up a couple groceries. I didn't eat nothing for lunch for work or any supper so I decided to go get a quick meal at the local sonic I clicked the button and waited almost 15 minutes for a person to reply to take my order. I ordered water a number one a side of onion rings and a large Coke zero for my mom they took almost about another 20 minutes to get my order, and when I looked at the bag side of onion rings three small onion rings the size of quarters, so I sat by my car and asked the employees what is this? I paid three dollars for three onion rings and the lady just acted like I was a ghost like when I was explaining what happened. It's like she had a dialtone background in her mind and then she just walked away ocean water, tasted like carbonated water. The tater tots also ordered burned cold The person next to me on the other lane, went by the door to go knock on it to explain why they messed up their order. They really need new nighttime employees. I'm sorry but I work too hard to be spending 20 bucks for some cold food. This location is the worst Sonic I've ever been to. I understand things/life happens so I have tried numerous times to give this location a chance and every time it is a horrible experience! You can 100% expect to get rude service and bad attitudes from at least one particular staff member when you ask them to fix their mistakes! I have waited over a hour for food at this location only for it to come out wrong, I have gotten shakes and blast that were only filled half way up the cup and have literally gotten blast that had NO toppings in it! But the worst part is the rude staff! This evenings experience was the last straw for me and I will not be going back! Tonight my husband and I went to get dinner here and my husbands southwest fries did not have queso or ranch on them and my burger was horribly overcooked and not even a dab of sauce on my smasher burger. Needless to say, very dry food without the sauce that they are suppose to come with. The kicker is, when my husband asked for more sauce through the speaker, the car hop came out and said "sorry we are out of salt", after explaining that we wanted "sauce" not "salt" the guy apologized and said he would bring sauce right out. Another lady brought the sauce , this lady was extremely rude, she started off giving us a really shitty look through the windshield while she was walking up to our truck and then even after she essentially threw the sauce into my husbands hand, my husband said "thank you" to her and she completely ignored him and walked off. I know she did it 100% on purpose because she delivered the food to the car next to us and spoke to them nicely, so this is not a issue of her being hard of hearing or anything. When I tried to get her attention again to bring this up to her, she again completely ignored me and walked back into the kitchen. I do not know this lady's name as she did not have a name tag on, but she was a older, overweight white lady with glasses, a ponytail and a purple and black polo shirt on. This woman was unnecessarily rude. That lady needs to be fired because her overall attitude towards having to fix THEIR mistake is ridiculous!! This location needs to be shut down or needs a serious management overhaul. I do not know how it is still in business considering the reviews on google/yelp and even the numerous negative post and comments from locals on Facebook. I don't normally like to leave reviews on fast food joints typically but this sonic location is absolutely the worst. There has been two separate occasions that I never even got my food! One of them I had to go through hoops on getting my money back, and the same time the staff there was so rude and lazy that if they simply checked my order instead of just saying "it'll be out soon" they would have saw that my order was sitting under a heat lamp for FORTY MINUTES!!! And yes I waited that long just for them to say they gave me my order once I rang them one last time telling them i was leaving (they must have given it someone else cause it wasn't me). Today, after 2 months of boycotting them I try again, this time knowing I'll never pay them until I get my food. Never got it, waited 35 min. Done with this location forever . Last time I went, I got a Super Sonic double cheeseburger and it gave me food poisoning. I told the manager and she essentially told me that she didn't care. I asked her to check their food safety guide about holding beef and the like, and she said that it was expired, she knew about it, and she would continue to sell it. Do not go here !! read more

This place was renovated fairly recently due to the all the road construction on Hwy 42. They are always polite, they always get my order correct and the food is always consistently good. It's a very clean sonic and even when they are busy your order arrives quickly! My kids like that some of the carhops actually skate on roller blades! If you're on Hwy 42 past airline, your fast food options are few and far between, but I am happy that this Sonic is one of those options! I only wish they were 24 hours because I sometimes have a craving for the fried Oreos in the middle of the night and they're closed! Bummer! read more

May 8th 2022 I live just down Highway 44 about a couple of miles from the Sonic Drive-In at Hwy 44 and Hwy 42. I have given this place chances time after time to not just fill an order correctly but to not have spoiled condiments give me food poisoning. I have had a Sonic Blast and Hot Fudge Sundae come in liquid form. Not finding out until I am home. I should have expected what happened today as I noticed servers returning with bags of food and tossing them. I assumed it to be wrongly filled orders. Boy was I mistaken. I placed an order for a Double Cheesburger, Tots and Coke today. When my order came I asked the young man what was on my order which he repeated from my charge receipt. When I opened the bag at home. Everything was incorrect on the order, but what took the cake was the amount of mayo on the sandwich was there apparently in hopes of disguising the disgusting taste. I thought the mayo tasted funny and scraped it off but not being a fan or mayo, my last thought was that it was spoiled. I should have guessed it ahead of time when I asked for a Blast and was told they did not have ice-cream today. The mayo was spoiled to the point I ended up sick to my stomach with both diarrhea and throwing up. This took hours to find out of course. By then the location was not answering the phone or the customer service line. I charged this as I do, however this time I am going to contact my credit card company and refuse payment. I always tip the servers, but I would think a server should take it upon themselves to tell a manager how many times customers have sent food back and stop selling. It is a shame that this Sonic is the only fast food restaurant within a few miles. This is not the first time and I seem to always get suckered in on a hot day to give another chance. No More Sonic! I've been here quite a few times and only once has someone responded to me after I pushed order button. Takes about 5 mins to get to place order. Food is ok but it's not like they take pride in serving at this location. I gave it 3 stars because I like that it's so close to home and I can grab a cold drink and chili dog whenever. On a positive note I just stopped in and service was fast, food hot and just how I like it. It was a first so I assume they hired better staff. All in all it is a fast food joint and nice place to go to grab a snack. read more
