I look in the wrap and there's a literal hard lettuce tag thing inside of the wrap. This sonic is just as bad as the one that had moldy hot dog buns. My son and I visited this location yesterday (Thursday, 08/28/25, right after 6 pm). We pulled into a parking space, and after deciding what we wanted...rang the button for service. After a couple of minutes, a woman's laughter erupted from the speaker at first, before asking me what I wanted. I started giving her our order, and I thought she was listening... but, no. She cut me off while I was still ordering, and said (while still laughing at someone there with her), "What did you say?!". I paused, and then repeated my order. My son wanted to try the pickle slush, and some tater tots. I got a couple of things too. On the screen, I saw the order (as she had put it in), and it said dill pickle tater tots. I corrected her at this point, because my son just wanted regular tots. She said ok. After EVERY item I ordered, she'd rudely chime in with, "Anything else?". I only ordered 4 items, and she kept cutting me off saying that. I'd be telling her the next item, and she'd just break in, and say that (loudly). I had thought of getting a couple of other things, but not with that attitude! When the waiter brought the food to us, he listed what was in the bag, and she'd put the pickle tots in there anyway. Four items... she couldn't stop laughing, and joking around long enough to get my order right. She made me feel as if my business didn't matter, and that I was intruding on her time with whatever friend she was laughing with. I was pretty angry, and won't be going back to that Sonic ever. It wasn't just the bad service though. The whole property was just old looking (needed some paint), and there were weeds, high grass, and trash everywhere. Man oh man. I never thought I'd be reviewing Sonic and giving it four stars, but those clever little Sonic executives have done something that's completely won this Cajun girl over. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, they sure have. They've taken three of my favorite things on this earth and combined them. My beloved New Orleans Saints, Tony Chachere's, and Tabasco hot sauce. Mind. Blown. The Who Dat burger is a hamburger patty topped with pepper jack cheese, Cajun spiced onion rings, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles on a bun that's got an edible Saints logo and spread with Tabasco mayo. Served with the cutest little packets of Tonys Chachere's. Uhhh. Yeah. Sign me up for two of those puppies! It is very good. Very good. My only complaint is that the hamburger patty is pretty thin and it could be made better with either a thicker patty or perhaps making it a double cheeseburger. This place will let you sit at a stall for 5+ minutes to tell you that they are doing drive through only after you use the app and leave a tip for the people that bring you your order and be out of half your order, give you HALF a refund go to any other location this one needs new staff. read more

I totally get all of the bad reviews for this location. I've had the worst Sonic food I've ever had from here. I'm not sure what it is with the Sonics in this area, but I haven't found a good one yet. I go here last week and order a burger and rings. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon. Sonic burgers are supposed to be made to order. You shouldn't expect to receive a burger that has been pre-dressed and packaged sitting out all afternoon, but that is what I got. The burger was just disgusting. Meat completely dried out. Bun hard has a rock. The burger wasn't even warm. Today I thought I would try again. I went right before 5:00 thinking that surely I would receive a fresh burger this time since they start to get busy around this time. Nope, same experience as before. I get a burger that has been sitting out for quite some time already packaged and ready to go. The rings were also super greasy indicating that they hady been out of the fryer and sitting under the lamp for a while. I won't be back. read more

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. This is STILL the worst Sonic in Slidell. PLEASE, I beg you, go to the one further down Gause or the one by the mall if you want to order food. This sonic is still OK for drinks, but that's not too easy to screw up. Are the kids working that grill SO DAMN HIGH that they can't tell when they fill the order? Tell me, how do you wrap a burrito SO SHITTY, that not only is is falling apart, but also almost a square in shape? How does one do that? Tell me, how does one wrap a burrito so that all of the cheese is on ONE END OF THE WRAP? And tell me, how, in the morning, does one make a breakfast burrito with old crusty eggs and sausage that is so burnt that I had to make sure it was sausage and NOT bacon? Tell me, how do you not bring out salsa with every burrito order AND ESPECIALLY WHEN I SPECIFICALLY REQUEST IT? How is this Sonic still THIS shitty?!? Visited Sonic for the first time in years. Wanted to buy an shake. It was terrible. Bougth Cold (old) cheese sticks. Terrible. Asked for Ranch and they did not give us anything. No Spoon for the shake. The straw would not work because it was to thick. Just overall experience tells me to never go back and I will not! Sonic is the closest place to eat by house so i like to go at least once a week to eat. During a previous visit i requested my food be brought out by a manager because one of the carhops (Stacy) is very rude and harassing and i wanted to avoid her being my carhop since she is very unprofessional and would rather have "service with a smile." Well sure enough, even though there was only one other car on the lot, neither of the two managers could bring out my food so Stacy came to my car and i simply said "I asked for a manager." So instead of bringing my order to a manager (as requested) she handed my food to another worker that simultaneously pulled up in a car behind the stall i was parked at. I had major concerns but i didn't voice them at the time because i don't like to complain. Everything went smooth and i got my order from another worker. It was made correct and i even got my receipt back. The problem is.. I just went this morning to order food like i always do and before i was even greeted i was told "we can't serve you because of the incident last time." To my knowledge there was no incident because the only thing i said was Thank You after i received my order. So i asked through the speaker what it is that i did wrong and how can i resolve it because im just trying to get food for me and my sister. I was then told "i can't argue with you about it but we can not serve you." So basically , I am "banned" simply because i wasn't pleased with the level of service i received at a previous visit & requested to speak to a manager. I wish i didn't have to voice my issues this way but unfortunately due to the lack of professionalism or problem solving skills at this location, i have no other choice. This is probably the worst Sonic I've ever been to. We normally park and order in the carhop area but they literally take 10 years to bring you your food. So this time I decided to go through the drive thru. I pull up and the girl says "I'll be with you one moment" so I sit, and sit and sit. Just left this Sonic, very disappointed. We took the kids to Sonic to get some shakes. We ordered, it said they were bringing them out to us, but after being there for 20 minutes, no shakes. Several people who got there after us, who had all ordered shakes as well, already had theirs. I stopped a carhop to see if maybe we had gotten forgotten. She said the people who do the ice cream are lazy and she would check on it for us. Another 10 minutes went by, more people ordered and received their ice cream. My husband pushed the red button and I said that we hadn't gotten out order after 30 minutes and I wanted to speak to a manager. The person said someone would be out soon. A few minutes later with no explanation, I don't know if it was a manager or not, brought us a receipt that showed our credit card was refunded and walked off. So after 35 minutes of waiting, we got nothing. I will NEVER go to this Sonic again. read more
