First time dining at a Bjs. Kevin was fantastic. He was asked to relieve the original bartender who was ill so he had tables in both dining rooms and at the bar. Let's start with how my server smelled like a dispensary. I don't care what you do but maybe not at work where you are serving people. She also didn't clear the table when she should've. It took an hour to get our food. 2 of our 4 entrees were wrong. The portion size of the salmon was small compared to the price and that entree was completely wrong. I have high blood pressure and trying to eat healthy. When I get what was supposed to be only salmon and steamed broccoli it was covered it something my high blood pressure diet doesn't allow me to eat. My wife ordered grilled mahi mahi tacos, no black beans sub w/ fries. So naturally only on of the tacos was correct and she still got black beans. They did give her the fries for free after the mistake was mentioned but the lack of attention to the details is ridiculous. The free fries is the only thing keeping this review higher than one star. To the management team: Fix this problem. Learn how to lead people and get rid of the ones who won't fall in line. Service has been sketchy the last half dozen times we have been here, and the food quality seems to have declined. My recent visit began well. Our server brought our drinks, took our order, and then vanished into the walls. There was a large party in the side room that seemed to have sucked up all the available waitstaff in the building. Random servers kept popping over to our table at odd intervals to check on us, but there really was no service after that point. We waited over ten minutes to get our check, after sitting there staring at empty plates for over ten minutes. My wife spoke to a manager and got neither an explanation nor an apology. It was apparent the guaranteed 20% gratuity tacked on to the large party was obviously larger than the gratuity I would have left, so I didn't bother to leave one. I don't know which "server" would have gotten it anyway. The hostess at the door who seated us provided the best service of anyone. Note: in my entire life (56 years) I have walked out of a restaurant FOUR times without leaving a tip. This was the fourth. I will look for any reason to leave at least a small gratuity, but this time there was simply not one. Not going so far as to leave a 1-star review, but I was tempted. I've eaten at BJs twice. Each time, there were only a few tables with guests and the food took extremely long to come out. The food is decent but not "wait forever" decent. My favorite dish is the Avocado Eggrolls. The pizzas are advertised as being really good but I found them to be just okay. I did enjoy the Mahi Mahi Tacos though! I'd love to regularly dine here but the wait time is just too long to deal with. read more

Couldn't get home fast enough to post this review. I've been eating BJ's since I moved here in 2010. Every year the quality of the food has declined, but this is the worst I've experienced. I drove 30 minutes to BJ's from my house because I can at least say the burgers have been the most consistent thing, for me, over the last 15 years. I pick up my food and didn't notice til I dug in my bag on the way home that the fries were in this container. Now when did they start serving TO-GO fries like this, I haven't the slightest clue. I've always had my fries in a TO-GO container. I taste the fries and the fries were dry, cold, and had a pound of salt on them. I finally get home, hoping the burger would make up for the ridiculous packing and taste of the fries and I was just as disappointed. The burger was dry and barely had a taste. I ended up wasting my money and throwing the food away. I used to love BJ's, but after the past few trips there, including this one( I won't be wasting any more money, time, taste buds, or gas to go here. It was a good run. read more

If you live warm cookies and milk, this is the place for you. Let's be real... you didn't come here for the food, (even though it's tasty too) you came for the mouthwatering pizookies! This particular BJ's offers nice service, great selection, and great food. I don't personally drink so I can't tell you about their beer, but they do have a bar and multiple games on tv's over the restaurant (the lighting can be a bit dark). The food ranges anywhere from light and delicious (if your planning on eating a pizookie) to rich and decadent (if your planning on eating a slightly smaller pizookie). Where do I start... Restaurant was a little busy when we first arrived, but the big parties were actually wrapping up and paying their bills. If you are a nacho fan, They quickly run out of the Avocado egg rolls. So, we got the next best thing. We got waters and vanilla cream root beer. You think spicy when it comes to Santa Fe. Only spicy is a sprinkle of red pepper flakes which you don't really notice. Has fresh avocado slices with Santa Fe dressing. With tortilla chips on top. Both are light and refreshing if you are looking for a light meal. And finish off with a white chocolate macadamia pizoookie (warm cookie with scoop of vanilla ice cream on top). Went in on a Monday night, sat at the bar, there was barely anyone in the place. Waited to get drinks, did the margarita specials they had, horrible, wayyy to tart! Ordered a sirloin and ribeye and sandwich in our party, the steaks were horrible, sirloin overcooked and dry, ribeye undercooked and not seasoned at all. The rice pilaf tasted like it was left out and a crust developed over the outer rice. The sandwich was decent, and the salads were fine. We came to BJ's to eat Christmas Eve dinner. Although, it didn't leave us too satisfied. The restaurant was very hot throughout our meal to the point, we had to step outside. I wore a thin sweater && still couldn't cool off. Secondly, I don't recommend the Ahi tuna to anyone. The salad was SOAKED in dressing. The croutons were stale. Went here about 2 weeks ago on Sunday, place was not busy and I had the worst service I ever had in my life. The food was delicious like always but the server we had was missing for the most of our meal. She never once gave us a refill, forgot about our soups, had an attitude when bringing us out the check. I asked for a Togo box 3 times and never received it. The table next to us walked out because she was nowhere to be found, We called management the next day to complain about the problem and they said they was going to send a gift card but never did. It's been a few years since I had eaten at BJ's, and having found ourselves looking for a place to eat lunch on Sunday (16 SEP 2018), our group of 6 agreed to go here. We were fairly lucky to be immediately seated at lunchtime, as our server sat us at the last available 6-top table in the restaurant. If you've been to one BJ's, you've pretty much been to them all, as the decor, layout and food are all pretty much the same; if not exactly the same. (At least the ones I've been to have been the same). Although, I did not get an appetizer, I did sample my nephew's boneless chicken wings, which he ordered as hot as they could possibly make them. In my opinion, a boneless wing is simply a chicken nugget; and that's almost exactly what they looked like. I was not overly impressed and would bet that these are definitely the frozen variety. My son's deep dish cheese pizza from the kid's menu was actually pretty decent, as in the spirit of Yelping, I sampled a small piece. They definitely got the crust right, as there is just the right amount of crisp around the edges to hold the deep dish ingredients together. I got the "enlightened" Peruvian shrimp quinoa bowl. When I ordered this dish, I was expecting a flavor similar to a Lomo Saltada dish I was used to eating in a popular Los Angeles Peruvian restaurant. However, the name was derived from Peruvian quinoa. The dish was good, but it was lacking flavor. Perhaps I just had my mind set on a different taste. My wife ordered the "enlightened" fire-roasted Barbacoa chicken, which featured Barbacoa spiced chicken, brown rice, black beans, feta cheese, cilantro, Greek yogurt crema and a fire-roasted tomato salsa. This dish was actually the better choice for me and I am lucky my wife's petite appetite allowed to sample a generous portion. At only 520 calories, it's a very flavorful dish. The surprise of the day for me was actually my appetizer; the twisted BLT salad. The salad truly looked just like the picture on their online menu. It was loaded with diced tomato, blue cheese crumbles and lots of applewood smoked bacon and chopped boiled eggs. The honey sriracha vinaigrette dressing may very well be my new favorite salad dressing. For dessert, although I did not order one, I did sample my son's Kid's pizookie, as he could not eat it all. The pizookie, is reason enough to go to BJ's. It is a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie served in a mini pan and topped with ice cream, and words do not do it justice. Just order it and you can thank me later. BJ's menu is immense and is actually spiral bound and looks like a mini cookbook when they place it at your table. Our server was very good, and although the food is likely not going to "wow" anyone (with the exception of the pizookie), it's definitely A-Ok. read more

I was at BJ's this past Friday night with my family for a birthday celebration and based on this experience I would give it four stars. Everyone loved their food and the service was great. Only complaint would be that the drinks were very watered down. We asked for doubles and could hardly taste the alcohol. I had the ahi tacos and they were so amazing we ended up going back for lunch on Sunday. Well, I can tell you that was a mistake. The only positive was that our server was an absolute sweetheart. We waited forever for our food and when it finally came out my husbands burger and fries were cold and I got the wrong ahi dish. I pointed that out and they got it corrected, but of course it took forever. I was so disappointed when they finally got there because the shells were cold and stale. I've been to BJs in other cities before and this one was a bit subpar. The service was friendly and speedy, the atmosphere was what I expected (music is always too loud, but I get it), but the food was just okay. The mozzarella sticks weren't as hot as I'd like. I do like that they are thinner than other sticks I've had, so they seem crunchier as well. But the sticks were already cool before I finished the first one. They didn't give nearly enough sauce for 10 sticks, either. I had to ask for more, which they gave me quickly and without complaint. The Cobb salad wasn't very good. The menu says it comes with romaine, but there was definitely iceberg lettuce in that salad. It's always the lettuce that makes restaurant salad not worth the money. The portion of each topping was done very well; not too much of anything, not too little of anything. It wasn't swimming in dressing, which I also appreciate, but the lettuce was just really not very good. I was disappointed. Next time I'm in town I'll go to the Cheddars next door or try Albasha around the corner. read more
