OK, I haven't been to CB since all the hoopla. Frankly, when I learned of all the absurd things they were doing, I tuned out. Businesses need to stay in their lane, not become social justice warriors. Hey, but if they want to, they can, just know your going to get a beating, especially in this particular space. All that said, I realized as i sat in the lobby of my crappy hotel where I had just spent the night because NO was full (NFL game at Superdome), I wanted something better than Waffle House. I figured I'd cut them some slack, since they eased off on all the nonsense. This location seems like it might have undergone the transformation, then transformed back. The walls were painted white, but the antique adornments were all there. The chairs were dark wood, just not the heavy honey colored oak they had been before. Whatever. It looked fine. Our waitress was cute as a button and on point. Super helpful, super friendly. Whatever we needed, she took care of it. The food was hot and tasty. I had a pancake breakfast with sausage, bacon, country ham and grits, two eggs scrambled with cheddar at my request. I liked it all except the ham, which was not all that tasty. I should have got the other ham. and the cheese in the eggs was kind like rubber. I didn't eat the pancakes as I got full on biscuits and gravy and all the other stuff. I took them to go. I will not write about "to-go" food as that is never an indication of what was delivered to my table. Oh, also had coffee. It was hot and fresh and i appreciate I could get real cream, real butter, and real syrup. Also, we had some biscuit beignets. Very tasty.

I have recently visited Cracker Barrel twice in two weeks, haven't been since a child, for pancakes and they did not disappoint!! I love crispy buttery pancakes and Cracker Barrel has delivered each time. The pancakes were so buttery, flavorful and delicious. I have been searching for pancakes like this and Cracker Barrel was the farthest place from my mind. I can't attest to anything else on the menu but those fried okra. Yes, I eat pancakes and fried okra lol. I do get some scrambled eggs and sausage, but they aren't who I am talking about. Anywho, in the mood for some crispy buttery pancakes, try Cracker Barrel, just be sure to tell them you want them crispy. The inside has been freshly painted and brightened up. The Country Store is always fun to walk around, and if you have a wait, you can rock all of your cares away on the porch in their rocking chairs. Our waitresses were awesome, especially the young lady that waited on us on Labor Day, she was on it, didn't even have to ask. Lastly, those biscuits, those biscuits, those biscuits!! They taste like biscuits my Papa use to make. I recommend enjoying them with honey, divine! Until we meet again!

After an early morning meeting I met my husband for breakfast at Cracker Barrel, which we haven't done in a long while. It was crowded as usual, but he was seated within 10 minutes. When I arrived, the server was right behind me, took or drink order and came back with those hot biscuits-that doesn't need butter by the way I decided to try something different so I got the grandpa's breakfast which comes with the chicken. It comes with gravy, but I requested no gravy. It was good, the chicken was okay. It's a country chicken recipe so it has a lot of breading on it or batter...whatever it's called and thats not really for me, but it may be what others like.‍ Everything else was delicious, the grits and my over medium eggs were perfect . The server, Dajon, from beginning to end was definitely a ray of sunshine. He was friendly, humorous, made recommendations and definitely went the extra mile. We had a great experience with him. I'll definitely be requesting to sit in his area when we return. When we checked out, there was a lady name, Shanna. She was great. Really friendly with a great smile. We made small talk as she checked me out. Oh wait! I tried this hot cocoa they offered-they were out of the sprinkles, so I broke up my peppermint stick and put on top as a topping It's Cracker Barrel, we already the food is good, it doesn't change, so this review was basically about the exceptional service we experienced.

Asia was an AMAZING server! Very hospitable, and she's very attentive ! She gave great recommendations! I love that she kept a great attitude and smile on here face ! We appreciated the great service and timelines on the refills ! This was my first time here, and next time we come back, I will be sure to request Asia! The food was good, the corn was bland but overall the food and service was a 10/10

My family used to stop in Cracker Barrels during road trips when I was younger and I always remembered them being fun, entertaining, and yummy, so I was quite excited to come to one again. The store itself was charming and hosted all sorts of knick-knacks from toys, home goods, candy, and gag gifts. We had a party of 6 and arrived around 9am on a Sunday. We knew there'd be a wait and high traffic, though we did have to wait a smidge longer than what we were originally told, even with the hostess being conservative with her wait time (we got a table a little after 30 minutes). I ordered pancakes and they were phenomenal: I can't believe how fluffy and delicious they were, so huge props to Cracker Barrel for tasty food. On the other hand, our drinks alone (water and coke sodas) took another 30 minutes to receive, not to mention the additional wait time for our actual food to arrive. On the bright side, they had a peg game we played with to pass time and if we had wanted, there was also a checkers game set up to the side. Our waitress was sweet, though it was apparent she was overwhelmed with all the other tables she had to wait on. I'd also say that our checkout situation was stressful, as the cashier accidentally overcharged 2 of our members and mistakenly told another that her payment didn't go through. Overall the food was great and I'd go back again if I happened to be in the area, though I wouldn't specifically make the trip out just for Cracker Barrel, and I would hope that things go more smoothly the next time!

Got to New Orleans early and wanted food asap. So we ended up going here. Soon as you walk up the place Looks like a barn. They have a place to buy small item and the if you wanna eat food it's in the back. Plenty of seating for groups. We were greeted and taken to our table. I ended up ordering the Grandmas Sampler and i got Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, Grits, Ham & Apple Cinnamon. Pancakes were good....bacon and sausage was ok....grits were ok....ham was tough to seat but not bad....apple cinnamon was good. Overall the food was good. If you in the neighborhood and hungry swing by.

Grandma's Breakfast.

Came to eat on a Monday for lunch. Wanted a Hamburger but they were out of hamburgers!!! How the heck does that happen. Supposedly Sunday was busy and everyone wanted burgers. This is BS! The new menu items are questionable at best. Sat for over 15 minutes waiting for our drinks. Our server was seen in the back gossiping and just standing around. Cracker Barrel your standards have fallen! Do better.

This is after asking to turn the music down and this was the level they thought was acceptable. Was previously in the danger range.

Should be able to converse and hear customer without shouting. Food good. Dangerous music.

I stop at cracker barrel when I go on roadtrips. Like old time home style cooking. Very reasonable prices. We always end up spending more in their stores than restaurants. Kids love it. The grilled lemon pepper fish is my favorite.

Really crispy and seasoned. Sweet potato naturally Nawlins sweet

Gotta give This Cracker Barrell some love. When my family said they wanted to go to CB, I was in the back seat thinking.....all the good places to eat in Slidell and they wanna go to A Cracker Barrell...Really I am giving a five star cus the food was so good No for real. I ordered a catfish plate with upgraded sides....baked sweet potato and a salad. The potato was sweet and stuffed with some good stuff. I thought I was getting a small salad but it was humongous. Okay I am not leaving the catfish out of my praise moMent. Thin and crispy and seasoned to perfection. I was with a party of six and everybody enjoyed their food. Someone told my neice, Hilda, if you Moan again, I am really gonna slap you lol In addition to the good food....everyone on the staff was so friendly Y'all I am visiting New Orleans so you will be hearing from me a lot

There was tons of parking all around the park across the street. Inside had something like 6 or 8 tables and a bar to sit at. They also have outdoor seating. You order at the register and they bring it out to you. I ordered the 2 meat 1 side combo. They didn't have burnt ends at the time, which I'm still dying to try. Instead I went with ribs and chicken with Mac and cheese. I've been getting used to bbq places bringing you small wimpy ribs, but this says two ribs on the menu it's more like three and some change they're so big. These ribs were so juicy, perfect amount of char, tons of flavor. Throw some of the table bbq to dip in and wow. Same with the chicken juicy, with a light crispy skin, and also even better with the bbq. Mac and cheese was also great. It was super cheesy and had a nice kick to it.

I ordered the brisket burnt ends and the ribs with a side of baked beans. The food came out pretty fast. The burnt ends were delicious. Tender and seasoned well I also loved the bbq sauce. The ribs were okay. They were Luke warm so they got cold pretty fast and were over cooked. I enjoyed the baked beans and they give you a hearty portion. Overall pretty good I would definitely go back to get another order of burnt ends.

When I looked in Google and saw that they were open on Sunday I decided that I was taking him there. You come in and it is a down home feeling. You have to lay before you eat, not a big deal and for me and my husband it was about $30. They had fried and baked chicken, mashed potatoes, lime beans, black eyed peas, tomatoes and okra, and of course fried green tomatoes. The reviews we had seen had mentioned that item as being great and my husband can attest to the fact that they are delicious!!! The service was good and the people all checked up on us and made sure our drinks were filled and plates cleared away. We talked to one of the servers and they talked about how they were open on Sunday through Friday for lunch but closed and reopened on Friday nights for a seafood buffet. My husband and I looked at each other and went "Yes"! We will DEFINITELY be back to eat some more of their cooking. The menu is listed daily on their Facebook page so head over there to like and follow them to see what's for lunch everyday!

Y'all. Y'ALL…read more Are you in NoLa for some reason? Any reason at all? Are you hungry??? Do you like cocktails, and a well-curated wine list, and an INSANE bourbon list? Do you like a plate of food that speaks classy without punching you in the wallet, and servers who don't hover, but can answer even the most random questions you could have about the stuff on your plate? Look no further, friend. Right off the bat, after arriving on a Friday around 4:45 PM we were seated promptly, given water and the tastiest little sweet yeast rolls ever (the tops actually crackled when you squish them you guys), and made our bevvie choices. Tonic with lime for me (I'm behaving rn) and an Old Fashioned for wifey. Killer. We skipped the appetizer course and ended up ordering off the specials menu for both meals. She got braised brisket with deviled egg potato salad (fantastic!) and I got grilled Amberjack with roasted Brussels, topped with pickled peppers, onion, capers, and a drizzle of olive oil and Crema. Did I mention this place has a rustic atmosphere, and cozy feel, AND a Michelin recco without a dress code required?!? We had Lemon Buttermilk Icebox pie for dessert... MY GODS. This pile of words I just typed doesn't do this place justice. Chef Link has got something special going here, and his butcher shop next door is totally groovy too. I can't rave enough about this place, and I wish it wasn't so dang far from Texas, but hey, it's just another in a list of damn fine reasons to come visit the fine folks of NoLa again.

We were a party of five. The Pompano fish was very thin and not flavorful -- very disappointing. The sauteed softshell crab was too salty and not very large and meaty (for the price). But my biggest criticism isn't about the food. Their staff is obviously trained to work as a team, which is great. But at some point, less is more, and I will explain why. I enjoy having a fairly calm dinner. The staff, in trying to do something good, crossed the line of what added to the experience. They were overly attentive to the point that it felt frenzied. It felt like I dined with a swarm of bees flying around my table. The worst part for me was that, as the last person finishing dinner, I was trying to eat my steak while multiple people were frantically grabbing everyone else's empty plates, bread plates, and silverware. They were reaching over the table grabbing things as I was still eating. While I do appreciate good service, this was overboard and detracted from my experience. I think it would be best if they would allow everyone to finish eating before removing everything from the table. I felt rushed, and I don't feel like eating an expensive meal while the entire table is being bussed. I hope they can tone this down.
