I recently went to the Smyrna sonic on Nissan Drive. I asked for fries with no salt were burned up. Coming from an extensive career in restaurant management. I know that this type of thing would only happen if you put salted french fries back into the grease to fry off the salt. It's actually impressive how they're able to mess up a DRINK 2 times in a row, back to back. Simply ordered a SWEET TEA with peach flavor added to it, no food at all. The first cup, tasted pure sweet tea. I reordered the exact same drink, I even went as far as telling them they can take the first cup they gave me, and JUST ADD MORE FLAVOR, THATS IT. They went ahead and made me a brand new cup.....just for it to be the exact same again. Not sure if they're hard of hearing at this location or think you won't notice the difference in something you get often, but they're pathetic. read more

As Sonics go, this is one of the better ones in the area. They stay pretty busy, but you never wait long for food and the food is always fresh. Despite being busy, there are plenty of spots so I've never had to hunt for a place to park. This location also has more outdoor seating than most, so if the weather is nice you can always enjoy that burger or coney in the fresh air. The folks that work here are always polite, and I can't think of a single time that my order has not been correct. Food wise, I would say that the quality and preparation are a cut above at this location as well. I've never had a bad experience here! read more

I don't usually go to Sonic. I'm not sure why, but I never think about it. It's currently nothing but snow and ice on the ground and Sonic is one of the few places open (along with my place of employment). I stopped buy for some breakfast and was happy to use the drive thru. One of the reasons I never think of Sonic is I don't like when they come out to your car. I find it awkward. I'm weird, I know this. I ordered the breakfast burrito combo, with bacon. It comes with tater tots and a drink. I'm a sucker for a strawberry limeade. It was 5ish dollars, which seems a lot, but the burrito is huge. I was surprised to find actual bacon strips inside. A lot of places use that chopped up bacon in the breakfast burritos that taste like Bacon Bits for salads (Taco Bell, I'm looking at you). Hot eggs, cheese and fresh bacon in a burrito, along with hot tots?! I need to not make this an everyday thing or I'll be 350 pounds. read more

I use to hate Sonics food and never understood how others liked it. I first tried it 8 years ago. I decided to try it again this past week and let me just say, they have the best corn dogs I have ever eaten and the best tarot tots which aren't soggy or undercooked. They have a nice crisp to them. LOVE this sonic! I only go through the drive through because I am on my way to work, and I only stop for one thing...A route 44 lemon Ice water! Oh yeah, that is my addiction! Every weekday morning I stop by. There is one girl who takes my order alot, she has a strong country type accent but she is great! Always smiling and tells me to have a nice day. If there is a line in the drive through and its taking a little long she brings peoples food out to them, including my water which is nice especially when I am crunching time. Its now to the point where when she sees my car pull up to the order box she says Welcome to Sonic, Route 44 lemon ice water? HAHA! YES YES and YES! You guys rock! Although I do not eat fast food anymore, my kids love this location too and they say their food is "the bomb" lol read more

Most of the time the food is delicious. But lately the food and the drinks have suffered. Today I got grilled cheese sandwiches and they were terrible. How does someone mess up a grilled cheese sandwich? Plus I got to cherry Dr Pepper's and they both tasted horrible. One was too sweet and the other one.
