We went on our lunch break one day and I'm so glad I decided to go with her since I'd never been because there is so much cool stuff here! The selection of shirts here with everything from a simple Oklahoma logo to a funny saying about being an Okie or a Tulsan is quite impressive. As a typical souvenir shop, the knick knacks here range from keychains to cups to household items to local products like honey and such. I really enjoyed the selection of locally made items and the variety of colors all over the store. They sell beverages, candies, and other tasty looking items. There were several baby things so if you needed a baby shower gift or gift for a kid this would be a great place to check out. My family and friends that are from Tulsa and Oklahoma are pretty proud to be from here so realistically this is a great place for gifts in general. Would be a fun place to bring a kid too because of all the fun little candies and knick knacks. I have to say I knew they sold shirts here because I've seen people around Tulsa wearing shirts with the Ida Red logo on the back, but I had no idea what to expect when I showed up. From cool to kitsch, from funny to puzzling, Ida Red's has it all. I will confess to Ida's not being the kind of place I would envision myself shopping at, but that's because I'm old, stodgy and a general curmudgeon. So I was pleasantly surprised and amused with Ida's. Overall, a really neat place with TONS of local craft merchandise. Now that I have a better idea of their offerings, I can plan a trip back, knowing what I'm looking for.

One of my favorite things about Lolli is that they hand-make fresh cotton candy and CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES in the store!!! So yummy! The staff is so friendly and educated on the many different types of candies- they will even give a tour to first time guests through the three different rooms (chocolate, Wonka, and gummy room). For a mini, 2 smalls, and 1 regular, we paid $38 after tax, which I felt like was a very reasonable price for the size vs quality. I believe it was the owner who helped us at the register and he was really nice. Someone asked him if the Christmas event brought extra business to the shop and he lit up and said something like "it has been outstanding," looking so genuinely happy for every customer waking in the door, which I thought was really cool to see. Wish we didn't live in CA and could come back more often to try more!

As you walk in to your left is a cotton candy shelf, straight ahead is the cashier, macaroons, cupcakes, specialty chocolatea, ice cream and, to the right is all kind of bulk candy, modern and old fashioned candies. After walking around the shop that was nicely decorated, smelled good, and had a cute seating area in a bay window that looked out to the restaurants and other shops in the downtown Tulsa. I chose the cookies n'cream cupcake. So cute. The cupcake was moist and soft and had good flavor throughout the cupcake. The topping wasn't overbearing with being too much or too sweet. I've taken several photos of the shop and what it offers. After eating my cupcake, I went to look for goodies for my little one. Surprisingly, I didn't see any of the basic gelato flavors. Instead, they had more specialized flavors! I got to try the strawberry cheesecake Gelato, and I gotta say, this is it. Usually, cheesecake flavors are a hit or miss with the flavors, but this place does it well. The gelato had CHUNKS of cheesecake inside. These were actual pieces of cheesecake that had been frozen inside the gelato, and it kept its own consistency. The gelato itself was already very dense, but combining the two really made the gelato stand out!
