This restaurant certainly lives up to its high reviews. We came here for the first time today. I…read moreordered the sirloin and my husband got the chicken fried steak. We both got onion rings and mac and cheese as sides. Steak was very well flavored. Onion rings were amazing. Good portions. Good prices. Good service. We will be back!

And just when I…read morethought I had completed my list of my top ten hamburgers in Oklahoma, here comes Scotty B's cheeseburger. Another restaurant's cheeseburger on my top ten list, just got bumped. There was no doubting that my wife would go for the Indian Taco. She found it on the menu as we were driving over. A large freshly made, golden brown Indian fry bread, covered with seasoned ground beef, lettuce, tomato and onions, with black olives, salsa and sour cream on the side. Look at that stacked up plate in the picture. It was delicious, as was my perfect cheeseburger with a side of crispy seasoned curly fries. Great friendly service from Scotty B's daughter who was working the restaurant today. Scotty B's is a great destination for Bikers, Car Clubs or anyone looking for a family friendly environment with excellent food. It has a big dining room with tables set up to handle a group. There is so much good food on Route 66 in Oklahoma, that you will need to allow for a week of travel time, to eat your way across the state. Route 66 Travelers, Eat Here! #700

The mushroom gravy had good flavor and texture. The chicken salad had a good variety of greens, not just one type of lettuce. A good portion of shredded chicken on top. This was a very large salad. There was enough for two people to share. Portion could have been better. Service was great. Attentive without being pushy. A fun place to eat. Lots of memorabilia from the movie Cars, which took inspiration from this restaurant. Definitely big on Route 66, too, as evidenced by the adjacent gift shop.

The Chili Cheese Dog with fresh, raw onions (as foretold by the cheesy appetizer) was dense and flavorful, maybe the best no-frills chili dog in Oklahoma. My picky 13yo ate his first First Fried Apple pie with a slice of vanilla. His eyes got really big, and the plate was clean in an instant. The big treat, though, is the full-quarter slice of Poor Man"s "Pecan" Pie made with oats, not pecans. Served hot with a perfect slice of vanilla ice cream (yes, it's a tray-cut square) with a perfect crust -- This may be my favorite dessert ever, in the whole wide world. Of course the whole wide world needs more innovative classic food stops like this on Route 66. Also, ask to see their fire-surviving copy of Eternal Route 66 by Chuck Williams, an ironic souvenir from a prior iteration of The *eternal* Rock Cafe. If you're a fan of Sally the blue Porsche from the Disney Pixar movie Cars, ask to meet the owner, Dawn. She *might* tell you her story that inspired the sweetheart sports car, and John Lasseter, Pixar's chief creative officer is happy to confirm when visiting with memorabilia gifts that decorate the cafe.
