I have been booking trips with Jenny for many years now and have been generally pleased with our experiences. Note I typically create a more customized experience with Jenny that is for a very small group that doesn't usually exceed 10 people. The price is well worth what you get if you're willing to pay more for a private experience and our most recent trip to Patagonia was a huge help to have Sonic help with organizing the logistics for a more remote place that isn't as easy with transportation. Jenny was able to custom create a great itinerary for us that hit on the main destinations I requested to see. Accommodations met standard for the price point and generally will be at good chain hotels overseas unless the location is too remote or inconvenient. Food was generally excellent and authentic, with private tours giving you an option to make requests as you build the itinerary. We had one sub-par meal but Jenny was quick to make it right with additional meals not originally covered during our trip. We'll continue to organize trips with Jenny when we can! read more

I joined a Brazil and Argentina senior tour with Sonic Travel & Tour that cost approximately $5,600. On the third day of the trip, I became seriously ill and remained sick in the hotel for about six days. Despite this being a senior tour, the tour leader never came to check on me even once. I repeatedly tried to contact her, and even hotel staff attempted to help me reach her, but there was essentially no response. I was left alone in a foreign country while seriously sick and had to depend on hotel staff for medication, guidance, and basic help. Even while extremely weak, I was still forced to drag my luggage long distances because the tour bus was often parked far from hotel entrances. At the same time, I was repeatedly rushed to "hurry up" while younger individuals associated with KAZN 1300AM stood nearby without offering any help. The tour was heavily promoted together with KAZN 1300AM, creating the impression there would be meaningful activities or performances involving the radio personalities. This never happened. We were later told that simply seeing them in person should already be considered "a big favor." For the high price charged, the level of care, honesty, and support provided to senior travelers was completely unacceptable. read more

We first met Jenny when we joined the Yangtze Cruise in October 2024. We were very impressed with her attentiveness to her tour group members as well as being very helpful to the other tour members who were not part of her tour group. When we found that she had a tour to Huangshan/Nanjing/Wuxi/Greater Gunaghzou (黃山·南京·無錫·粵美大灣區 11天美食精華遊) this past October, 2025, we immediately signed up to join this tour. In addition to staying at some of the best hotels and enjoying great foods during our trip, our local tour guides were outstanding story tellers keeping us entertained that our bus rides seem very short. Through their personal life experiences we learned the country's rapid development and challenges in their lives for the past decades. We also experienced various regional cuisines influenced by their local history. In addition, both the local tour guides and the bus drivers went out of their way to help us throughout the tour. I've participated in three Sonic Tour itineraries, including trips to Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan. Sonic Tour arranged stays at the Sands Hotel, Capella Hotel, and Fullerton Hotel in Singapore, where I sampled Singapore's famous pepper crab and bak kut teh. The hotels in Japan were all top-notch onsen-style hotels, offering authentic Japanese keiseki cuisine and authentic Japanese cuisine. The Sonic Tour itinerary was thoughtfully arranged, the accommodations comfortable, and the food delicious. I was completely satisfied. I give it a five-star rating. read more

My husband & I join the Sonic Travel & Tour on July 31 -August 1 2025. This 2 days trip go to San Luis Obispo. The food is bad. The hotel's spa extremely dirty. No breakfast, The boss Jenny gave everyone 1 piece of bread. The first they gave everyone has number to sit. The second day when we get in the bus C. Someone took our seat. She said whoever get in the bus first. They can pick their own sit. Susanna can't stop them. They don't have educated. Low class person. They can't make the decisions. My husband ague with Jenny. I joined their 2 days and 1 night tour to St. Luis Obispo. It was a big group, and I was assigned on Bus A. We got picked up in Temple City, and I got a warm welcome from the owner, Jenny. We went to Getty Museum, Lompoc, night market, Avila Beach, Farmer's market, and Solvang. Bus ride could be long, but my tour guide is very funny and experienced, so there was no boring moment. Also, they played a lot of games on the bus, and we were able to won some small prize (ginseng tea or ginger candy). When we were about to have lunch on the first day, I was told that we will receive half of a lobster for lunch, which was a surprise! The night market we went to was the coolest night market I have been so far. There were lots of food and drinks vendor as well as live music. I was able to eat and listen to music at the same time. We stayed in a hot spring hotel at night, and it was a wonderful experience to have. I have never expected to be able to enjoy hot spring in America! We went to Solvang on the second day, and it was the highlight of this tour. It was a beautiful town. Overall, I like the itinerary of this tour, and my tour guide. My husband and I joined the Sonic Travel And Tour 2-day trip to San Luis Obispo. The trip was not organized. There were lots of mis-handlings on the logistics and itinerary. The hotel was not good. Food was bad. They provided us with only a piece of bread for breakfast and, for 10 people, they did not get any bread because of mishandling. What made it worse was that over 50% of travelers complained for one thing or another during the trip. The hosts (owner of the Sonic business) of the trip passed responsibilities to one another, with only excuses. It was absolutely no fun at all. They charged us $500 per person for a two-day bus trip. Very expensive. Overall, it was the worst trip experience for us. read more

Take 3 mins read this first... No! No! I do not recommend this travel agency. This company is very unprofessional! We ( group of 7 adults and five children) and have paid extremely high price $5000 + 2000+ air ticket per person for a private small group 10 day Italian tour but we only received service as the regular bus tour. Sonic tour sold our groups to a Mainland China tour company, then the China agent sold us to Italy local Chinese bus tour company. 1. Hotel: We were promised to stay at least 4 star hotel but only received 2 star hotels for . One hotel was dirty and outdated, the shower water couldn't drain properly, and bathroom door wouldn't close at all. 2. Food: Most dinners were pre-purchased in our package, we were promised to have authentic Italian food, but the food were ranged from mediocre to bad, with at least five dinners were very bad. One Italian restaurant we were put in didn't even have one single Italian ( from chef to staff to customers)in it. By the last night of the trip I got food poison from the trip. 3. Customer service: No service was provided by Sonic at all. We signed the contract with Sonic tour and made payments in full before the trip. But when we made complains, the owner Jenny pushed us to the Mainland China company which we don't have direct business with. She promised to issue us refund for one meal we have cancelled in advance, however we are still waiting for the refund after six weeks after our return from trip. Conclusion: I am going to repot to FTC, let them deal with them direct. I truly not recommend Sonic Tour. Be careful everyone read more

Sonic Tour is very experienced with Singapore and arranged together with the local tour company a great condensed trip for my wife and I to see more than 80% of the attractions from our own research on including visits to places not visited by any other local tour groups. Sonic Tour was also online (in the middle of the night) to support us in resolving a misunderstanding with the staff in our last day of accommodation. The short but sweet visit gave us a very positive vib for Singapore and we definitely will join other tours to other destinations with Sonic Tour in the near future. read more

My mom and I had a very unpleasant experience with Sonic Tour from beginning to end. My negative experience needs to be served as a warning sign to other customers. On 1-29-24, we booked our tour to Northern Europe for departure date 5-9-24. We made a $1,000 deposit for the tour and paid our airline tickets through Sonic Tour. However, in early March 2024, my mom's health became worse and she could no longer travel. We took her to the doctor and received a doctor's note verifying that she should not travel. We immediately provided my mom's doctor note to Sonic Tour on 3-8-24, which is 2 months and 1 day in advance of departure date. Per Sonic Tour company policy, which is printed on their itinerary pamphlet, we should receive a 50% refund if we cancel at least 2 months in advance. The Sonic Tour agent kept telling us that that they are still working on the refund of the 50% deposit and we just need to give them time. But in reality, she was lying to us the whole time, she was using delay tactics the entire time. About once every 2 weeks, between 3-8-24 and 5-9-24, we asked them for an update on the refund, and the agent said the same thing, that they are working on the refund and that we will receive it later. It was not until 3 weeks after supposed departure date of 5-9-24, that the agent then told us that they will not give a 50% refund of any partial refund at all. We asked for $500 back out of the $1,000 deposit, but they refused to give it to us. During that same time, the airline company provided us a with a full refund of our airline tickets, because my mom had a doctor's note. But before getting the refund from the airline, the Sonic Tour agent kept telling the airline company that I should Not receive a refund. The agent did so both in writing (via emails) and also verbally over the phone in front of me. This itself was the worse customer service ever. Here I am trying to get my refund, and even the airline company is following its refund policy and is willing to give me a refund, but Sonic Tour tried several times to tell the airline company and convince them to Not give me a refund. There were also many other awful situations that arose during this experience; I am only explaining the main parts here. To sum up, Sonic Tour lied to me multiple times, provided the worse customer service, and refused to follow their own refund policy. Sonic Tour must be held accountable. read more

Excellent service, booked our cruise to Hawaii at a great price and gave us great recommendations for things to do. They were very accommodating especially during COVID. They were flexible and allowed us to move around our vacation dates, and seemed genuinely happy to do so. The staff was very helpful and recommended offshore excursions that are cheaper than if we booked it through the cruise line. Highly recommend going to this travel agency! Do not book with this travel agency if you do not want to be lied to and coerced into a package that you don't want. Our agent, Cathy Tien, repeatedly says "Tomorrow" and then the next day, "Tomorrow", and then the next day "Tomorrow. We heard this -- with ludicrous reasons of the time difference and the booking manager is out of the office and she didn't know what we wanted and blah blah blah -- for two weeks after we've lost our original hotel that we wanted. She wants us to settle for less because she wasn't able to confirm anything for us. We are scheduled to leave in less than 30 days and have given this lady three weeks to get an itinerary together for us. Booking with an agent should never be this difficult. I've done it many times to know for a fact. I can't submit my review without putting any star but they deserve NO STAR. Go somewhere else if you do not want an ulcer. read more

Subsequently, I made several calls to follow up with her and eventually made the purchase. Merry was patient, resourceful and extremely easy to work with. I am very grateful to Merry's assistance and her willingness to find the most affordable tickets for me. For those of you who are from Taiwan, you will definitely connect with her. This is my complaint email (review posted on Bravo Travel also) I writing to express my disappointment and displeasure with my recent 3-day San Francisco-Yosemite tour (5/1/13-5/3/13) which was booked through Sonic Tours but I believe operated by Bravo Travel. First, your tour guide by the name Eric should be removed from his position immediately. He was hostile to customers: screaming, scolding and swearing at customers. Constantly raised his voice to intimidate customers and threatened customers who do not return to bus on time at any point of the tour, will be left behind and will be responsible to find their own way home. By the way, first day of the tour, we were waiting for him for more than 30 minutes. Second, San Francisco city tour was offered at an extra $25/adult and $20/child. Only 4 locations with 10min stops. Most people felt cheated by him as he said it was better than the local city tour bus. He was dishonest and did not want to explain in more details about the extra cost. We expected to ride on an open roof bus with a bigger route of city tour. Why was this optional excursion not listed in itinerary and also listing the price? Finally, the service tips as informed by Bravo office to be $4 per day/person, however, tour guide collected $6 per day/person. The $2 per day/person increase is not a big deal however, this tour guide did not deserve any tip with his terrible attitude and services. I will point out that the Bus driver on the other hand was a very nice cool guy and was worth to be paid extra service tips. As a result from this ordeal of a tour you are not only losing me as a future customer, I'll also be adding a review with BBB, YELP and on my Facebook page so that everyone is fully informed of what to expect from a Sonic Tour / Bravo travel tour experience and how your tour guide can turn a decent tour into a nightmare tour. Just got back from Taiwan 10/10 celebration whole island 8 days tour. Very good experience. The company was organized and accommodating. Tourist guide in Taiwan was Karen. She was great in taking care all 20 of us, and pretty entertaining. What a job ! All guests are very nice people. Hotel were all great, nice, clean and good ratings. Most hotel breakfast had about 100 items of food to choose from- Western style, local Taiwan style, Japanese style, Cantonese style...just lots of food. Royal Hotel in Yilan was my favorite- had hot springs in room, herbal spa & fish sucking spa. I also purchased a Black stone bracelet in Hualien FarGlory Hotel, said those black stone has 26 minerals there. The Touring bus was big, very comfortable and good air conditioning. This is important to have good air con because the weather was too hot -said 84 degree F. Bus driver was always good to pick up us in the right spot, watched our luggage and belongings. Everyday had some special activity e.g. hiking 30 min- 1 hr. leisure, riding electrical bike ourselves (Could stay in tour bus if not want to hike or ride bike), night market....etc. Everyday had different varieties of activities, saw different Culture Center / Museum. We've got to try different styles of lunch & dinner - hot pot, Japanese Hot pan (Chef show), Chinese duck banquet (Chef show), dumpling dinner,...etc......you name it. Too much good food. This 10/10 celebration tour also included a music concert and some performance in Tai-Chung. Everything was great. I enjoyed it. Think this tour must be the best. read more
