This place is dangerous for a plant lover and wild bird person like me. When I moved to the area, I refrained as I thought it was only whole sale but it is not. So many types of soils and fertilizers and various types of plants. Glad they have various types of soils other than miracle gro and glad they have "smaller" bags as I am an experienced Gardner but I do not have a lot of space. A lot of beautiful pots (indoor and outdoor type). I also love the various bird houses, feed and feeders. Came here with my mother because she was in search for specific soil and flowers. I was super excited when arrived because the place was huge and looked like they had a lot to offer. We browsed our way around with no one greeting us. We passed two of their employees and not a single hello, nod, or smile. Some of their flowers had no tag or name on it therefore we didn't know what it was. When we asked one of the workers, he didn't know. He pointed to another gentleman (maybe manager?) and told me to go ask him. The manager was completely rude and rolled his eyes when we asked questions. We will not return to here. I'm all about supporting local business but not when someone was so rude for simply asking a question due to their poor labeling. read more

Remember that the small bins with the flowers in front are just temporary. You still need to transfer them to a pot and soil! Thankfully, a good-sized pot is just $2.49. This is a nice little shop right off Forsythe Ave. in Monroe for all your gardening needs and anything you'd like to brighten up your living area. It's getting close to spring time. Want some flowers around the house? $7 gets you already blooming flowers and a new pot to transfer them in is less than $3. The staff is friendly, helpful and responsive. They're more than happy to answer your questions and give recommendations to those with less than green thumbs. Inexpensive, local and beautiful outside! The only downside is the minimal amount of parking outside. It's in a gated area and there's only maybe ten spots out front. I've never run into an occasion where I couldn't find one, though.
