My wife ordered the single egg plate and I ordered the double stack with bacon and two eggs over hard. The food took over 20 minutes to arrive while the drinks were immediate. Coffee was not great but hot. They don't have traditional creamers but powered packets. Overall, it's both what I expected and a disappointment as I hoped the environment and food would match....they don't. Been here, done that, now on to the next off the beaten path diner.

But, upon trying to leave, our car wouldn't start. Wouldn't even crank. I thought our trip was over, less than 45 minutes out of OKC. I had a BlueDriver diagnostic computer, but needed to be out of the parking spot and alongside the curb to have room to open the driver side door. I asked if an employ could just watch behind the vehicle while I pushed and my sweetie was steering. The Manager was very understanding and two employees came out to help. One made sure traffic coming around the back side of the Sonic would stop and another helped push. After that, one employee had a portable battery jump pack and helped get us started. We were able to clear computer codes and drive down the street to the auto parts shop, get some tools that I didn't have, a new battery and we detoured down to Ardmore to see a Toyota dealer. We were able to get things sorted, continue our trip to see my folks and make our cabin rental check-in, just a few hours behind schedule. The Sonic crew were very helpful, understanding, went above and beyond--and for that, we're grateful. I've stopped in there several times, coming and going between Southeast Oklahoma and Oklahoma City and it's always a great experience. I'll continue to. Kudos to the Sonic crew in Purcell!
