Lately, I've opted for this Speedway gas station over others in the area. The price of gas here is…read moreoften much cheaper than across the street, which means they don't increase prices to keep up with other stations. Speedway has plenty of parking if you just need to go into the store, and there's a lot of room between pumps, so it's not cramped and easy to manuver a larger vehicle. Inside, there's an ATM, some prepared gas station style foods (pizza, hot dogs, etc), and a good selection of snacks and other junk for the road. You can even get a F'real milkshake here, which is pretty cool. It's easy to get in or out from both Main Rd. or Savannah Hwy, although traffic often backs up since people turn onto Main Rd. because they don't know about the other entrance. Speedway's your average gas station and nothing special, but it's a good stop on your way down Hwy 17 to Charleston or Savannah or if you're heading down Main Rd. toward Kiawah.

Parking is shared with other businesses in the area. The store parking lot and inside were extremely clean and well laid out. Granted, this is a new location, but you can see the hard work that the team put in to keep the store looking fantastic. Don't you love it when a business team member goes out of their way to make things right? That's exactly what the very nice lady at the bakery did this morning (I did not catch her name). She went out of her way to find me some bran muffins, and cracked open a package that had already been sealed from their bakery, Just so that I could have that Muffin! How cool is that?! Walking around at the store, I was asked by three different team members if I needed help. Awesome and appreciated! The deli and hot food service is the bomb! Fresh and hot and great selection. The fresh produce department was beautiful as always, seems to be the case with Harris Teeter. We will be coming back to this store specifically because of this interaction and experience.

Had to throw most of the pizza to the trash, I should have not paid attention to what my friend said about the Monday pizza. India replied that the ladies room is closed. The woman politely asked why there is no sign. India told the woman to leave the store! Now if that wasn't enough, I noticed there were signs stating that ice is not free and a cup of is expected to be paid for. Anyone who resides in SC knows that the temperature is brutal in the summer. Where is the customer courtesy and customer service? I will not spend my $ at that location again. Fortunately there is a good selection of service stations that appreciate their customers. M6 suggestion is to provide a refresher training in Customer service or replace the store manager with someone that knows that the customers r the force of success.

The store is always clean, the staff is always friendly and I can get a Starbucks when I walk in! They have an outstanding selection of produce. Each time I go it seems they are adding more and more gluten free options which helps me out! The best part, we earn fuel points so that I can save on gas!!! Now I'm not sure about all of you, but I love saving money! The only way I would stop shopping here is if they put a Kroger or an HEB near by as I think they are the only 2 stores that may have a bit of an edge!

Watching the attendant operate the knuckle buster sliding imprint machine in the cold weather was always a treat, twas impressive. Once inside I was taken by the number of employees scurrying around, performing their tasks -- it looked like Star Trek Enterprise as three separate colored shirts identified rank. (Well, not really.. it was training day and shirt colors are the employee's choice) Spinny, spinny, spinny -- those pizzas and hot dogs spun like a spinning top, in the horizontal method. Can't say I partook, but I watched them for a while wishing for a bit of an appetite and carousel music, but none ever came to me. Icey chilly brewskies -- and bar none -- the cleanest bathrooms anywhere I have been and will gladly attest to. Fully equipt with the Accelerator machine that can blow paint off a wall. This machine is somewhat curious to me and slightly troubling at the same time. I'll spare y'all the reasons why -- but I've got reasons -- disturbed and irrational? Perhaps, but with all I observe and think about -- it all fits.
