Had the guys from Sonny's Tree service out today to remove 4 trees. They were prompt and efficient. They had the trees down and all debris cleaned up in just 4 hours (trees were in the back yard without truck access). Awesome job from start to finish. Let me start off with we own our own Tree Company and have a lot of experience using different crane companies for our jobs when necessary. However, as you can imagine, everyone was completely booked since the hurricane. we called the crane companies that we usually use and their prices jumped up from $1000-$6500. They wanted to come to our job for a minimum of four hours. So I called another company that we have used in the past once again price gouging they wanted a minimum of 3000. Took a chance and reached out to Sonny's knowing they were extremely busy too, but just to see by chance if we could hire their Crane to come in and help with us a job. Not only was Sonny's willing to help us They charged us the normal price. Sonny's and his entire crew are awesome wonderful trustworthy and are truly good people. I just wanted to put it out there that they could have tried to overcharge, but they didn't. Owner is rude ans abusive. Did not finish the job theu were tasked to do. Had to ask ownee to leave my property

Sonny's Tree Service is terrible company. This company will destroy your property and cover it up then tells you to read the fine print on the estimate. I hired this company on June 23rd 2020 to remove , grind the tree stump and roots. During the stump grinding the worker disintegrated a six foot section of the water main line. They shut off the water from the meter just to continue with the work then cover up the whole section with debris. My problem with this company is they did not call to notify me regarding the damage. They cover up the whole area so now I have to pay extra for the plumber to excavate the area to find the connection, it is not cheap to dig up 6 to 8 feet area to find the connection (line is complete disintegrated). I called the owner Sonny ask to reimburse for the plumbing cost. Sonny told me it is PVC pipe a child can repair it and the company is not responsible for underground damages. After $2000 tree job this is how this company handle complaints. The cost would have been minimal if the worker had stopped once the damage was done and repaired it, instead they continue with the destruction then cover it up. Just because on the estimate says not responsible for underground damages does not give this company the right to blatantly keep on destroying their customer's property. Yes accident does happen, but once happen they ignore it and continue then became negligence. read more

This is the second time we used Sonnys Tree Service. Both times they did a great job. They gave a very good quote, were on time, showed up with a full crew and were able to get the tree down, mulched, stump removed and completely cleaned up in two hours. It was a big tree to remove, but they made sure there was no damage to our or any neighbors property. Sonny called the day ahead to let us know when they would show up so we could plan ahead and let our neighbors know they were coming. Overall a very good experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

The tree service I was told I would get was less than satisfactory. Work started on Monday and there were inexperienced workers cutting my live oaks. Works was left undone and the following day when I was told they would return to finish, they did not show up nor did they call me. After I called to find out what happened, I was told they would be there the following day. They weren't. They showed up Friday did some clean up but still left a lot of work undone. Vines hanging, debris scattered and stuck in the trees, some trees uncut which are still a concern with hurricane season. I was promised they would return on Monday to finish the clean up. They did not show up. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for tree work. They were very unprofessional. They hire drug addicts and homeless people, all of which are inexperienced and up in trees. This was confirmed by their own co-workers. Stay away. read more

Sonny failed to complete work that he was contracted for, also failed to replace shed that was crushed by workers during the removal of 2 trees. Sonny has poor attitude and no people skills. I would not recommend him to anyone. read more
