We recently contacted and hired Sonoma flowers to do the floral arrangements and all the necessary accoutrements at our wedding at the garden pavilion estate in Sonoma this past weekend and we were absolutely blown away. I cannot say enough about how accommodating these two lovely woman are. From the moment we arrived at their enchanted red barn they took time to talk with us and find out what it was that we really wanted and how they could help us on many occasions. These sisters went out of their way to make this special day absolutely perfect! First of all let me say allllll the flowers were fresh, thoughtful & to die for! Bright hot pink peonies, white gardenias, Ranunculus, cymbidium orchids, garden roses, Huge white lilies, French tulips, bells of Ireland...allllllll my favorites! My hair piece was the best part, and my table center pieces got rave reviews and were fit for a queen. All the arrangements impressed us and made the day sooooo magical. We were not on the royal budget, and I knew how much the average bride in the wine country pays these days, and we couldn't spend that, so we express what it was we wanted, and then told them what we could spend and they never, ever pressured us to spend more or were made to feel bad. They went above and beyond and even made our wedding look like something out of Town & Country magazine! They are consistent, friendly, skilled, professional, and trustworthy. I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I received an arrangement today that I know my friends spent a lot of money on and it was very disappointing. The roses looked like they were on their last legs and the large leaves looked like they had been chewed on by something. Sally and Susan were recommended to me by a friend who was recently married and said they were the best to work with in the valley. I emailed Sally and she was quick to call me and set a time to meet. I live in Sonoma, but work away from town and they worked around my schedule which was great. Everything in wedding planning was new to me and the two of them were helpful in finding out what direction I wanted to go in, finding out the quantities and types of flowers I needed, and giving me a quote right there. Knowing I wanted to continue, I made my small deposit to hold the date and continued to do my wedding research so I could give them clearer examples. When my wedding was about 3 weeks away I sent them a handful of bouquet photos and explanations of what I liked about each (I didn't find one photo that was my dream bouquet). I trusted their expertise with the other bouquets, boutonnières, corsages and flower girl pieces. Paid my balance the week of the wedding and arranged for everything to be delivered. Wedding day came and my flowers were there on time and my bouquet was a perfect blend of the pictures I provided. For some reason I thought it would look bigger in person, but it looked perfect in photos!! My husband's boutonnière was arranged to match my bouquet which I found beautiful, but hindsight I should have had him give some input. He felt it was a little too busy and sort of hit him in the face if he wore it upright. I forgot to arrange my own toss bouquet since I opted not to order one, but I just used one of the bridesmaid's bouquets and it worked perfectly. Flowers were ordered from Sally Blue by a distant friend. The bouquet arrived on time. The water in the vase was cloudy and there are three dead leaves on the bottom plus muddy looking debris. It is easy to tell this would have been an expensive bouquet. The flowers appear to have just been shoved in randomly into the vase, no thought given to beauty of the flowers. After second day some roses have drooped completely. This arrangement was apparently done in a hurry without much artistic value. Also this was not an arrangement done at a busy holiday time. Just a plain weekday. I will tell friends not to order from this site again. read more
