What a gem at the Russian River. I have been camping here for years and my anxiety melts away as soon as we arrive. It's like coming home to visit family. Love the owners Kelly and Michael. They always ensure a great stay. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing camping weekend here at russian river! The hosts made us feel so welcome and everything at the camp grounds were serene, woodsy, private, and clean. The showers are free which is a nice perk and the sites are spacious. We stayed in sites 45-46 and we would choose these sites again. Just a reminder there is no beach access but there are two small paths that lead directly into the river. Wifi is provided and there is firewood for sale. We plan on returning! Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for an unforgettable week and being gracious host at Camp Russian River. Lazy Bear wouldn't be the same without your hospitality. Can't wait until next time.

A River Gem! Headed back to beautiful Camp Russian River in historical Guerneville! We always look forward to a retreat in the redwoods. Spacious central lawn and great access to town. Nice to enjoy a campfire and relax under the stars. Owners are always helpful with our reservation process. A real central point in the Russian River area to venture out to activities. Thanks Camp Russian River for being a place we can make memories!

What a great and relaxing place to stay. Huge beautiful trees and nice large lawns. Truly a peaceful location with walking to town a piece of cake. Kelly does everything to make your stay extra special. You will not be disappointed. Thank you again for a great week.

Suffice it to say we saw a few locals along the way that seemed perplexed why we were driving very slowly through their neighborhood. I think that had to do with a bridge closure. Anyways... The return was not the same route thankfully. The park has for pay parking areas and what seemed to be free parking along the road to the park at your own risk. We found a spot in the paid lot ($10). Get a receipt, put it on your car's dashboard and off you go. There's a small welcome center and info at the entrance as well. The Redwoods are incredible here, some alive for 1400 plus years. You simply can't see the tops of the Redwoods from the ground. Truly incredible. The trails are well marked and it's highly discouraged to get off the trails as the environment is very ecologically sensitive. Unfortunately we saw some disregard for that. Stay on the trails people! You'll find placards noting interesting names and places along the way in addition to information about the flora and fauna. The history of the park and previous residents from indigenous peoples to the parks name sake are along the trail. It's an incredible park to visit and appreciate nature. The redwoods are incredible and certainly worth a visit.

The showers and restrooms are very clean. The resort is very much geared towards families and children. There are tons of activities for kids; basketball, table tennis, a playground, a tree house, arcade games, air hockey, etc. They also have special events for kids like movie nights, arts and crafts, pony rides, and karaoke. The resort also has private beach access. You can swim and play in the river if you want, or just relax on the shore. We stayed in one of the cabins. It had a queen size bed, nightstand, lamp, chair, dresser, and a couple small stools. There is electricity and outlets. Water, restrooms, and showers are nearby. If you stay in a cabin, I HIGHLY recommend Fish Camp #6; it's the best cabin on the entire property. It's in a quiet corner, there's no neighbors on one side and the best part is you have a STUNNING view of vineyards.

It is considered glamping but the hot water in shower ran out fast, not much to do in lodge, main group gas fire pit kept going out (front desk said it needs to be fixed) and for the price that fire should be going 24/7 and be fixed ASAP if broken. Also, they are very strict on firewood. Must be compressed or hardened wood. I understand this rule as regular wood tends to put off embers and so is a higher fire risk than compressed wood like Duraflame, but the guy who noticed my regular wood (before I realized the rule) and who lectured me about it was kind of douchey. They sell some but at more than double to triple what you can get it for at store. It is upselling at that price which is off-putting. So basically $400 in an Airstream and not near water or accessible lake or stream is a bit rude and glamping amenities not great...worth max $200. Coffee was good though Next time I camp will be with the state or book with Hip Camp. There is a very cool restaurant down the road called Saucy Mamas. Definitely check it out.

We recently came for our second RV trip here this past week and loved it as much as the first time…read more For our first time, we stayed at 60E for dry camping. It was nicely located with good shade during peak heat hours. No matter where you stay, the river is walking accessible and there is day parking if you need to transport bigger things like your canopy and water toys, etc. This time around, we chose to stay at E since our trip was longer and we wanted the full hookups and have a fenced area for our dogs. It's a great site if you have kids since it is right across from a playground. Since E wasn't available for our whole trip, we moved over to a standard RV site (water, electric, no sewage) for our last night. We were originally assigned A but staff were super helpful and flexible in allowing us to change to C1 which had better shade for the 92 degree forecast of the day. We also set up a tent for the evening and slept under the stars. It was perfect! Our in-laws also came for part of the trip and stayed in a cute cottage (beds only). Casini is awesome because there are so many different options for lodging that you can definitely find what works best for you and your family. The river is so refreshing on a hot day. Keep in mind the floor is gravelly/pebbly, so I would recommend water shoes for the best comfort. They also have golf carts and other water play things to rent. The general store is stocked very well so if you forget something, it's highly likely to be available there. They also have events scheduled through the week. Not sure if it changes, but I noticed Tuesday was pretty full of events - ice cream social, tractor ride, and movie night.

We stayed in an RV site and had an enjoyable time overall. One thing to note is that pricing trends on the higher side, especially if you have more than the standard four people in your group. However, there are several convenient amenities available, including on-site propane fills, firewood delivery, and four EV charging stations. The EV chargers were particularly convenient and cost about $30 for an 8-hour charging session. The campground does an excellent job creating activities for younger children. Between the jump pad, animals to feed, movie nights, ice cream socials, river access, basketball courts, and open spaces to play, it's easy to see why families come here in big numbers. Teenagers may find there are fewer activities specifically geared toward their age group, but there is still plenty to keep them occupied. My two teenage children had never kayaked before, and renting kayaks on the Russian River ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The shower and restroom facilities were also very clean and well-maintained. We only used the shower facility near the beach access area, but it was in excellent condition. Showers are coin-operated and cost four quarters for six minutes, with each additional quarter adding 1.5 minutes of shower time. The general store was well-stocked with camping essentials, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. One thing I appreciated was the variety of camping options available. Whether you're looking for a simple tent site, a full-hookup RV site, a group area, or a more upgraded setup with amenities like gazebos and BBQs, there seems to be something for just about every style of camper and budget. Our site had full hookups, and everything worked as expected. For those staying in sites without sewer connections, there are convenient dump stations on the property. River access is one of the campground's strongest features. Getting down to the Russian River is easy, and the shoreline has a very gradual, shallow entry that makes it especially appealing for families with younger children. As always, parents should supervise their kids around water, but there is plenty of room for children to play and explore safely. AT&T cell service was excellent throughout our stay. The campground also offers free Wi-Fi, although we never needed to use it. This is definitely a family-oriented campground. Thursday night was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. Once the weekend crowd arrived on Friday, the atmosphere became much more active. One thing future visitors should be aware of is the large number of children riding bikes and moving throughout the campground. Drivers and pedestrians alike should stay alert, as kids frequently dart across roads and campsites. We also found that quiet hours were not enforced as strictly as advertised. Beginning around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, groups of children were already riding bikes and making enough noise to wake nearby campers. Sunday morning was somewhat better--perhaps everyone was a little more tired after a busy weekend--but it was still noticeably louder than what we expected during posted quiet hours. Overall, Casini Ranch knows exactly what it is: a family campground. If you're looking for a quiet, adults-focused camping experience, a busy summer weekend may not be the best fit. If you're bringing children and want easy river access, clean facilities, plenty of activities, and a campground that caters to families, it's easy to see why so many people return year after year. Despite a few frustrations with early morning noise, we had a great stay and would happily come back. I would still rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

We heard about Duncans Mills Camping Club so reached out to the owner for a trial stay. We were able to book a two night stay for the same week. We arrived and were greeted by Tina, who helped us pick a good spot for our trailer that was near the river and close to bathrooms and other amenities. The site was large and flat which made backing our trailer in very easy. It had a fire pit, grill, and picnic table. It was a short walk to the river's edge and beach which also had a huge grass are that you could sit on near the river. We took a great hike which was less than 2 miles from the campground where we hiked up to a ridge and could see the ocean. After the hike my husband used the very large hot tub. We didn't use the family area or adult area but looked at it. It had games, books, pool table and other things to do. The fitness room was on the back side of the building and had enough equipment to do a good workout. We went midweek so there were not very many campers so it was very quiet and peaceful. Only thing we had to watchout for was poison oak. The staff was there cutting it back in many sites. All in all it was a great stay. Staff was friendly and available for questions, facilities were good (bathroom was very clean and spacious), and campsites were large. We got the information while we were there about joining the club and are seriously considering it due to it's close proximity to bay area, amenities, flexibility of booking sites and cost if we will use it as much as we are hoping to.
