I wonder if Sonora Quest is bothered at all that when they lose labs that a pediatric patient had to fast for that it's not that easy to just get the bloodwork a second time. Time has to be taken away from work and school, future doctor's appointments have to be rescheduled, the patient has to fast again, and the patient has to be poked again. The amount of money paid out of pocket for these labs, Sonora Quest should offer a refund. This is the second time they have lost labs. They are never sorry or accountable. There were about 30 people waiting which is not a problem. Nobody at check in. Asked a person that called the next patient that o needed to know if my order was in. He was rude, and practically told me that I had to wait my turn to get that information. This company is a shame. This place has the worst customer service/billing practices. After bring a patient for many years, they suddenly stopped billing my insurance. They admit they have my insurance information on file, I presented them with my insurance card yet they simply neglected to bill my insurance until I called them. Not their usual business practice. They offer an option for a call back, rather than spending the estimated 90 minutes on hold. I requested this option. By the next day, still no call back so I had to hold over 75 minutes today to speak with a rude representative. Their website also offers an option to update insurance information.....but they admit that doesn't work and they know it but they still leave it out there. Just gross incompetence on all levels. If your insurance offers another lab as an option, I would try there. read more

Worst run blood lab I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Made an appointment on line for 10:15 Monday morning, arrived at 10:10 and checked in and then sat there until 10:40! Went to the to ask why I haven't been seen yet and was told they were very busy and running behind. Waited until 10:50 and left and will never be back!! Made an appointment with the next day with Patient's Choice Labs which is in the same Ironwood medical complex on 95th & Shea and I waited about 2 minutes after I check in to have my blood drawen. Best lab in Scottsdale and they have locations all over the Valley. Run as fast as you can away from ANY Sonora Quest Lab unless you have a whole day to waste!! read more

Sonora Quest Laboratories did a FIRST CLASS job from start to finish which took all of 15-17 minutes. I did an early walk in pop up to have my blood drawn like 6:30am. Christina was the tech that signed me in & for such an early morning she greeted me with a smile, was professional & kind.The phlebotomy tech was AWESOME :) Professional, clean, kind & thanked me for drinking lots of water, said it made his job easier. One tiny poke, that I didn't even feel & 5-7minutes I was done...THANK YOU Ricardo!!! Wish I could rate them lower. Had an appointment for 10:45. I checked several times and 15 minutes after being told I was up after "2 more people" I checked again to see what was going on. At that point, they asked me if I had an appointment again. Bottom line, I ended up waiting an hour to get in for the blood draw. When I got in for the blood draw, then they stuck me five times to find the vein. I will not yeah I'm going right go back to this facility ever again. read more

Despite a low review, the people working here are so sweet. Yet the actual bloodwork taken here is so slow and it's very discouraging. I can set my appointment for 8am yet don't get called back for bloods until 8:45. For a free day that's fine, yet does not work for any other day. BILLING is a total mess since moving off to a 3rd party. EVERY bill gets handed over to collections. I never receive ANY bills in the post or email and triple checked, all details are correct. Postal address, email address, phone number, yet ALWAYS handed over to collections. This is happening for everyone in my family. Absolutely ridiculous! I'm writing this review to give recognition to a wonderful woman named Sophie. That girl deserves a raise and promotion. I have been a hard stick for many years, and this was the 1st time in a year and a half a phlebotomist was able to get the draw. Not only was she patient and took her time, she was also calm and reassuring. Only 2 little sticks and I didn't feel a thing. I'm not anticipating a bruise either! Be proud of yourself Sophie. Not good, this place sucks; I have never seen a #$%T show quite like this.  Their check-in system did not really work! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I waited for 35+ minutes. I had an appointment, but given the stupid little icons on their waiting board, it looked as if I was considered a walk-in rather than an actual appointment. I kept going to the bottom of the list, and there was nobody at the service window to help; some man nurse tried to help out, but he was attacked by four older women who were more pissed off than I was! read more

This is for the ironwood square location. Came at 1145 checked in with ID INSURANCE cards etc. Told them my doctor had sent in test request. I sat for 30 minutes before they told me that my doctor had not sent in the test request. I had spoken to the doctor's office the day before and the secretary said, I just sent it. Quest staffers deny they received it. I told them my cell phone had died so I used their landline to contact my doctor's office. Staff not answering doctor's phone because they were on lunch. I told the gentleman who was at the window (only 1 man and two women) to hold my place (I was eighth on line.) and that I was going home (12 blocks away) to recharge my phone and contact doctor so that I could request a fax to be sent to Quest Labs. The man said OK. It took me 20 minutes all told and when I got back the man was not at the window and the one woman who was there said she couldn't hold my spot or they would have to do it for everyone. I didn't leave to go shopping or avoid the wait. I went to get the test request faxed to them again. BTW, the doctor's office said it was the second time they were sending it. Based on past performance, I believe them. So the woman repeatedly said, can't do it. I told her my circumstances were different. No go. So upon my return I am 15th on line. Remember I am fasting. So much fun. There is something called customer service and sometimes it involves critical thinking skills and asking oneself questions about the situation at hand. No such thing here. They treated me like I had skipped out on the wait just to have a milkshake. No, I was attending to getting the test request which was sent by the doctor's office not once but twice!!! Fasted for 16 hours thanks ladies. You are peachy keen and thoughtless. read more

I have come to this location three times in the last six weeks and how fast you get in just depends upon how busy it is. The first time, I had to wait awhile even though I had an appointment. This time, I didn't have an appointment and got right in. The people working here are very nice and that is why I'm writing this review. There is a young woman named Keegan who works at the front desk and this woman is so positive and cheerful that it brightens up the whole place. I heard her dealing with people and it was always, "No problem, we'll get you in" and "That's fine, we'll locate it." If every employee in every medical office could be this way, going to a medical office wouldn't be so unpleasant. The rest of the people were also nice, but Keegan is in a class of her own. I didn't have an appointment but came early in the hopes of being a walk in. From the time I checked in, to the time I walked out the door after completing my lab work was less than 40 minutes! I made an appointment online for lab work but on the day of my appointment, this facility was not open. I would have appreciated a telephone call or email letting me know they were going to be closed, so I wouldn't have had to leave work early to make my appointment. I re-scheduled my appointment for a later date, so hopefully they'll be open. I normally go to the Mayo Clinic for labs, and I'd definitely recommend the Mayo Clinic laboratory over this place. read more

Was at Ironwood facility today with the order that the doctor at the hospital gave inside of discharge instructions. The order was insufficient, and I knew it and told him. Of course, he said it was fine. They gave me a phone number to have Sonora call if they have an issue. I kept asking them to just give me a normal script, so I could go anywhere I wanted. But they said Sonora is connected with Banner so just go there. Well that is not how it works. Sonora can't use crazy notes in discharge papers, and they do not have time to call. But the supervisor at Sonora in Ironwood fixed it. She took it upon herself to put my health ahead of the incompetence of others. While I waited I observed many people coming in with issues that related to the doctor offices and not Sonora. I really appreciate the supervisor who fixed my problem blood draw order. read more

I recently came in for a lab work and it was really easy. I was told I didn't have to make an appointment by my doctor and just show up during their business hour. They are open from 7am and since I didn't want to miss my work, I came in at 6:58am. They had five people waiting in front of the door when I showed up. The staff promptly opened the door at 7am. I know as I was using my phone. They have two automated kiosk to check in. It was easy to understand but for those who may need assistance using this kiosk, a staff came out and helped other patients. Once you process, wait to be called. You see your name on the screen so you know exactly how many people are ahead of you. Actual lab work was very quick. I was in and out in no time and I still made it to work on time. read more

The first young lady was super...she said she would try once..she did and then turned me over to Ricardo who was magnificent. I am an impossible stick..but he found blood. This place is . Literally . I'll never forget the day I had to drop off a specimen, the waiting area was empty and their was 3 staff members behind the counter. They told me to take a seat and wait... and wait and wait and wait while I sat there with my previously frozen sample. Finally they called me up to drop it off - but brought me back to where they keep a counter full of other samples in bags piles in a heap. Some samples had fallen out of the bags and weren't in their bag. Disturbing scene. Made me wonder if they get the mixed up .... and if it's suppose to be frozen or refrigerated - is this ok ? Probably not. Staff can be rude - and trust me they'll get to you when they're good and ready. Today , I find myself in a standing room only situation - the waiting room is packed. Visited last weekend to get routine labs done for me and my husband. Made appointments ahead of time online and thankfully they are open on Saturdays. However, the way appointments were run was incredibly inefficient. A mother checked in for her young adult son when he was not even present and the staff waited 15 minutes for him to get there instead of taking the next patient on the list. This not only wastes the phlebotomist's time but also mine! This location can definitely improve with better organization and management. The phlebotomist was professional and quick so five stars for that. Unfortunately had to take two away because what was supposed to be a 20 minutes in and out to collect blood became over an hour long visit. read more

I went into the Sonora Quest on Ironwood and 96th Street. Since the Tatum and Shea location permanently closed. The tech decided the left arm was the " best" When the tech inserted the needle in my left arm i immediately felt a intense sharp, needle going through my lower outer arm. I immediately told the tech. " Owe. Omg something us poking me in the arm like a needle" HIS jacket was on so all i could assume is a needle was poking from his jacket pocket? To my arm. I had never experienced this before. By this time the blood draw was complete, needle out .Once needle out pain immediately disappeared. I reiterated what was felt when the needle was initially inserted. I told him never has this happened and I have done labs numerous times in the past. HE said, " Oh that's weird ." I immediately developed a blood blister at the injection site. I am unable to use my left arm. I can not bend the arm inward as electrical pains throughout the lower arm are so intense ans awake me in the middle of the night. This blood draw was on Friday and today is Sunday. Staff is very friendly and pleasant. So much better than other Sonora Quest locations. The phlebotomists are mostly older, which to me means more experience. Appointments book up fast during our winter visitors season. Place is really difficult to find, as it is tucked in with many other offices and there are several surrounding buildings. read more

I go in to these places to get blood drawn. they can't find my veins (runs in the family). next time I buy a vein finder. Phlebotomist claims the red light gives her migraines and won't use it. next time I bring it again. I get told they can't use it and never heard of them. Even though it is a common available medical device. next time I mark all the veins for them. but they won't use the marks because I might be wrong (I never am). The marked veins are always correct. All I want is to get poked once and no grinding around in my arm looking for a vein. Stock vein finders! read more

There system is very unfair to the patients. The computers messed up on my appointment. Got an email for the appointment. Before I was able to print out disappeared and had no confirmation. Original appointment was for 10: AM. This was a fasting test that could not be rescheduled for another day or time. Went to a walk-in center explained my situation and waited almost two hours to be taken care of. There were patients without an appointment who were called before me. Had to wait until after 2pm for a fasting blood test. Explained that I was going to get sick and pass out and there were no exceptions. I would have had this done if the computers worked properly. If I had a choice would never use them. Next time will get blood drawn at lapcorp where their system is more efficient. There are exceptions in life and I guess sonoraquest is too big to care about individuals. read more

This was my first time using this facility. I loved the fact that my work order from the dr was in the computer system. I went online and made an appointment, I showed up a little early and the place was packed, check in was a breeze. And I was taken in shortly after my appointment time. Make an appointment online. It's the only way to get in and out quickly. If not, be prepared to eat from 40 minutes to an hour. The staff is pretty good. They do their best to take care of you upon walking in, the front desk that is. Waiting area is kinda tight. But it's because there's always a lot of people that come in. Best feature for me is that I live right around the corner and this is very convenient. read more
