I did a walkthrough with their realtor, Kami, the house was nasty and had a strong cigarette smell, she assured me the home would be professionally cleaned and smoke-free. But when I moved in on August 1st, 2024, the reality was horrifying: a house that reeked of cigarette smoke, urine and feces stains, sticky, filthy carpets, and leftover trash and belongings. When I complained, Kami said she "had COVID and couldn't smell anything." The walls weren't even painted, just lazily patched. I had (still have) to deep clean the entire house myself many many and even after spending hundreds on air purifiers, ozone machines, and filters, deodorizers, expensive carpet cleaners, oil fragrances, the smoke still lingers. I'm a throat cancer survivor with documented respiratory sensitivity. Within days of moving in, I was waking up coughing, wheezing, and struggling to breathe. I had to sleep at my friend's house on the first 13 days so I could clean over and over and leave the house opened. The fence was rotting and falling apartment, many planks were loose. I disclosed my condition in writing and submitted photos, videos, and even neighbor statements backing up the presence of cigarette odor. I begged Sphere Realty for help, HVAC cleaning, carpet replacement, anything. They ignored me. Worse, they mocked me. Thomas Slowbe, the owner, told me my symptoms were "just a little headache." When I told him the house was uninhabitable, he said, "Just because someone believes the home is uninhabitable doesn't mean the law or we see it that way." That wasn't just dismissive, it was cruel. At the time, he offered a $150/month credit"for my inconvenience" but only after I filed a BBB complaint, not because they cared, but to silence me. When I kept asking for repairs, they tried to twist the narrative and claimed I had "accepted the house as-is." I never did. That's not an agreement, that's retaliation. Since always they try to push that i agreed with the house, that i accepted the house as is, I never did!!! I never received or reviewed any move-in inspection report from them. In fact, I asked for my move in report multiple times and was finally told to submit one after Mr Slowbe came to the house, and walked himself in while his wife tried to distract me. He walked by himself all the way to my bedroom. But, i did fill up the move in report and clearly stated the carpets were filthy and the fence was rotted. Now they pretend it doesn't exist. Then came the real retaliation: they started blaming "your three Great Danes" which they repeatedly mention like a talking point, for the fence damage and carpet condition. They charged me $172.15 for fence repairs, even though I documented the issue on move-in and the vendor admitted other homes had the same rotting posts. They also pinned the pre-existing carpet condition on my dogs even though I've been complaining about it since day one. They love to pretend my silence means satisfaction but i have a life and i dont have time to be 24/7 on top of Sphere to fix stuff. They said, you can leave when i renewed. But I couldn't afford to move out. That's why I renewed the lease not because the unit magically became habitable, but because I was financially stuck. Renewal doesn't erase their legal obligation to maintain a livable home. This company gaslights, retaliates, and lies. They weaponize lease clauses and blame tenants for problems they refuse to fix. They will make you pay for things instead fixing them. The moment you push back, they claim you're "bullying their staff." They rewrite history, and they'll do it to you too. Don't rent from them. Sphere Realty is a warning, not a property manager.

They are not answering most of the time and when they do, commitments to call back are not met. The last time on site in late November, Katie and Jamie unrolled the liner, worked for about 2 hours then left after folding the liner back up and leaving it in the yard. Their tools have been sitting in my yard all December and January. Over 75% of the contract payments have been made and I still don't have something I can remotely call a functioning pool.

I used this company for a move and as a result of said move my living room tv was damaged. I contacted their company to place a claim and was sent a letter for intent to file the claim. Since receiving the letter the company representative no longer answers my calls, voicemails, or emails. I've tried following up several times for approximately 2 months since I made the claim with no response. $1400 tv was damaged and I will be seeking legal restitution as this company has refused to honor their service. I would note the moving experience wasn't bad, but if an item is damaged by your movers you should honor your claims for damages!!!
