Thank god for this studio…read more I "retired" from dance and gymnastics about 5 years ago or so. I was always nervous to go back. Afraid I was too old. Afraid I wouldn't be good enough anymore. Afraid I wouldn't have time etc. etc. This place is so welcoming. It really has a family feel. A lot of the kids, adults and teachers have been there for years and they are more then open to allowing others join the fam : ) I feel good about myself because of the encouragement I have received from Nichole and Byron (tumbling and jazz teachers) They are fun and make coming after a long day of work exciting for me. It's nice to feel that I have nothing to be afraid of anymore, a lot in due part to the environment, schedule and variety of classes offered.

Another great thing about Alice is that she's not afraid to tell you when a move looks different than you may have intended and is flexible on changing up the routine to better suit you. This is important in an instructor! We miss our lessons and after such a fantastic experience, we're planning to find some local dancing spots.

I'd been teaching C/W dance on same night, had wanted to learn Polynesian, So, ended up in Danville at "Two-Left feet" dance studio. I'm one of the lucky ones to join at the beginning. I FELL IN LOVE WITH CATHERINE, CARL AND AUNTIE SHARON, AND, CJ, THEIR SON. We performed all over. Competed at Tahiti Fete, 3 yrs. In 99 we won our division. Total excitement. This was a great group of caring people. Never saw anger, or rudeness from anyone. Would love to go back, even at my age, 83, still can move the old hips. Listen to Hawaiian music all the time. Wish I could remember the dances. I wish them nothing but the very best. My favorite 4 1/2 years of dance.

A friend invited us to join her for some live music this past Friday evening at Blackhawk Plaza…read more The Plaza hosts the annual Rockin' the Plaza Concert series in the center of the mall. The 2019 season runs from June 28th through August 23rd and the free concerts are from 7pm to 8:30pm. It is mainly a standing room concert but you can get premium seating in the VIP Lounge with a t-shirt, parking spot and drink voucher for $50. There is a Prickly Pear Cantina bar that sells beer, wine, margarita, well cocktails, soda and water. This evening, the Bay Area group, Pride & Joy was playing its soul and funk tunes that got the crowd groovin'. The crowd enjoyed their music so much that the band played for additional 15 minutes. A fun free concert on Fridays at the Plaza with beautiful weather and a great environment.
