Fast forward 7 years and now my other two daughters are enrolled as well. I have never seen someone do as much work as the owner Ashley. She is dedicated, and shows up for every dancer. We see the long hours, the care, and the patience. And we want her to know it never goes unnoticed. The teachers create a positive, welcoming environment where the girls feel supported and motivated. My daughters have not only improved on their techniques but have also built meaningful friendships and become much more confident. This studio goes above and beyond, and we're so grateful to be part of it.

Their personalities are approachable, friendly, and helpful! The class is typically of 15 - 20 pupils yet individual attention from the instructors are still received about form/technique. Every session is challenging and building skill on top of the previous classes, so it's definitely going to be tough to jump into the middle of the semester. Be assured that it is a low-stress environment. On the first of March, I sprained my ankle and so was not permitted activity for 4 weeks. The school allows 5 make-ups and typically by the end of the month. However, due to the limitation that a level one student can take and schedule restrictions, the school permitted that I do the make-ups by the end of the semester. I am glad about that!

I FELL IN LOVE WITH CATHERINE, CARL AND AUNTIE SHARON, AND, CJ, THEIR SON. We performed all over. Competed at Tahiti Fete, 3 yrs. In 99 we won our division. Total excitement. This was a great group of caring people. Never saw anger, or rudeness from anyone. Would love to go back, even at my age, 83, still can move the old hips. Listen to Hawaiian music all the time. Review on the toddler princess class: If you have an…read moreexuberant child like mine, this is not the class or dance center for your child. My child attended this class in January, for 2 classes and did a trial class last year. The class provides 1 teacher and 1-2 teenage assistants, one of which is the main instructor, Monica. Parents are required to watch outside, behind a window and are not allowed inside during class. In the beginning of the first class, my child was following directions and after sometime, they became distracted and also filled with excitement to run around and play with other children. Although somewhat frustrating as a mom, with the inability to correct them (as I'm outside of the class, watching from the window) I was provided reassurance from fellow moms outside, saying my kid is just excited, so outgoing and it's okay, it's their first day. At the end of my child's first class, the kids were receiving measurements, in preparation for an upcoming recital. After my child was measured, Monica had some feedback for me. There were other parents around me with their children, when she expressed her concerns. Initially, I was surprised and ultimately, embarrassed, especially because she didn't pull me aside. Monica said that my daughter needs to work on listening and to prep her prior to class. She added, although they're taking measurements for recital, that it might not be the class for her and we can reevaluate her at the second class, to see if she may be more appropriate for the younger class (but this is the youngest class), also implying that she wouldn't be fit for the recital performance. Caught off guard, I managed to suppress my true feelings. I responded by saying, oh trust me I do (teach her to listen). I then asked if I could send her an email, to discuss in a private matter opposed to publicly conversing in front of others. Following that night, I was reconsidering attending the class. I was apprehensive about pulling my child out, as it was just their first day and they still enjoyed it. As a parent, we grow to understand that consistency is key to see them progress. It's not only a learning experience for them, but also a social experience. Also, we had a friend that was in that class, so I wanted to ensure that they can attend an ongoing fun activity together. I then decided that we'd give it another shot for the next class and see how it goes, and see if Monica had anything further to say. The next and final class, I was filled with anxiety. The entire week I was worried how my child would perform in their ballet class. I shouldn't have felt that way, but that was the pressure I felt from Monica. Within the last 15 minutes of class, my child in addition to another child (one who has been going for some months) were removed. Throughout the entire class, you can see the frustration on Monica's face because of the students. It wasn't just my kid, it was all of the children (a small group of 5-6, ages 3-5) that were being inattentive. I could hear Monica saying, "I'm sorry I can't." She then escorted my child and another child outside to be with their parents. My child, embarrassed and crying, put their hands to their face and said, "mommy I'm sad, I want to dance." The other child was hysterical to their mother. This was absolutely unacceptable and heartbreaking. We're required to enroll and pay for 2 months worth of classes in advance and be required to sign up for automatic pay. Yet, my child gets pulled out in the middle of class? How can you traumatize a child's first experience by having them removed? They're 3! I spoke with Monica, to get a better understanding of what the expectations are and how this could be handled in the future. Initially, it wasn't my intent to drop the class, however that was her first and only solution. I told her that I've been prepping my child all week and doing practices where I'm teacher and they're the student. Her response, "yeah, she's still not listening." I then asked, well what are the expectations for the following classes? Are you going to keep removing her from class if they get distracted? Her response was to provide me a refund. It was clear that she didn't want my child in her class or deal with them. That was her solution. I want to add that this was not my child's first group class. They've been involved in basketball for a season, gymnastics and soccer. All of which we've had a pleasant experience with the coaches and teachers. Teachers who displayed patience, understanding, compassion and understood the age of the children being taught. When something like this occurs during the phase of when our children are learning, we as parents must understand that this is a delicate time that can potentially affect their outlook on similar experiences that they're introduced to. I was simply appalled at the way Monica handled this entire situation and the way she treated my child.

The check-in process was also disorganized. The receptionist repeatedly struggled to find my son's registration because she was confused about first and last names, despite his information being clearly visible in the system. She claims everyone makes mistake and that's ok, please tell this to your boss, not me. This camp has potential, but it is poorly managed and does not deliver what it promises. Updated based on Russ's feedback - the name in the system was correct because when your receptionist can't find it and handed me the iPad, I was able to look it up and it looks right. However, looks like it was sorted by first name but she asked for last name. I understand it was supposed to be very structured, but during class, it was not the case. My son even asked the coach to teach him how to kick and shoot better but the coach ignored him.

It's about 3 miles if you go all the way to the driving range at Bridges Golf Course. At that point the trail peters out. It looks like they are constructing a new trailhead there. The trail is open, so don't count on any shade in the summer. It's pretty much green hills, with a compacted dirt trail. Fortunately, it's not rutted. I found the hike mildly interesting, but honestly, nothing special. Near the golf course practice center, I saw a lot of range balls on the ground. I was tempted to take them, but I threw most of them back onto the range. I'm pretty sure I did not hit anyone, but a few times I heard some klunks, followed by shouts. I wasn't sure what that meant. They might have been mad that I still had 2 golf balls in my jacket. I did not notice I had borrowed some golf balls until I was pretty far away. These trails are good for beginner hikers, since there aren't any wild animals around. I'm pretty sure there aren't any rattlesnakes or mountain lions. But if there are, I did not see them. And even if I did see any, I had some golf balls I could throw at them. The only wild animals are herds of cows. And there are lots of them! At one point I had to go way around a huge herd. I'm not really afraid of cows, but one kept looking at me with menacing eyes and did not budge from the trail. I was afraid of that one. Could it be a boy cow? I was afraid to get close to find out, so I honestly don't know if it was a boy or girl cow. But he or she looked mean. The whole time I went around the cows I kept saying pleasant things like, "Hi Susie," or "Hi Betsy, how are you?" I'm pretty sure they knew I was a friendly man. I was surprised they knew English. So over all, a pleasant hike. Nothing really special, but plenty of parking makes this a convenient location. The incline is really not too steep, so most hikers will find this an easy hike. For yelpers who are geocachers, there are plenty of geocaches on this trail. I put out about 8 new ones, so there will be lots to find. Keep in mind that there really aren't any facilities such as restrooms or drinking faucets. On the other hand, it's really not a very long hike. Just watch out for that cow with the mean looking eyes.

Quick hike to the summit. Perfect for a brief meditation before starting busy day. San Ramon I love you.

Disappointed with the Declining Quality at Tutu School After five months of observing a steady decline in quality, we have decided to leave Tutu School. While initially promising, the overall experience has been frustrating and disappointing. One major issue is the lack of discipline and structure in the classroom. Feedback was given regarding parents chatting loudly outside the fence during class, which visibly distracted the little ones. Despite bringing this up, no action was taken by the school to address it. Additionally, there are children in class who constantly talk over the teacher and other students, causing disruption for those who genuinely want to learn. Again, despite repeated feedback, no measures were implemented to manage the classroom more effectively. Another glaring problem is the way the school handles its schedule. Tutu School was closed for a week during Thanksgiving, recital Sunday, and two full weeks in December. Yet, they charged full monthly tuition and justified it by offering "makeup" classes, which are inconvenient and, frankly, feel like an excuse to avoid adjusting fees. This practice seems unethical and unfair to parents who are paying for a complete monthly program. Lastly, the inconsistency with teachers has been disappointing. Instructors are constantly changing, making it difficult for children to build rapport or continuity in their learning. After months of voicing concerns with no improvement, we've decided to move on. There are other ballet schools in the area with better reviews and more reliable operations. Tutu School appears to have lost the quality it may have once had, and we can no longer recommend it. read more

She has brought home BEAUTIFUL artwork that we hang and use. Parking is easy to find. Its a one hour and fifteen min class every Tuesday and plans to open more sessions. The teacher, devina, is receptive to each child and allows their creativity to flow. She is kind, talented and is amazing with children!

Devina is one of the most dedicated teachers I have known. Under her instruction, my daughter has…read morelearned how to use various types of paint, mediums, techniques, and has been able to really surface the deep love for art she had inside. She always has that brilliant smile at the end of every class with an end product, which is quite priceless! Devina also does corporate events and special events like birthdays - we invited her to do a lesson for my daughter and her friends for her birthday (Andy Warhol's donuts). What a super cool outcome that was! In addition to art, Devina also teaches public speaking, which has helped my daughter understand how to write outlines, make better arguments, reduce filler words and project better body language. Most importantly it has helped boost her self confidence! Devina is not just a teacher - she is invested in the development of your child all along the way, which is not something you'd get in some of the best teachers. We are truly lucky to have her in our daughter's life!
