She did such a good job with tailoring the suit that I could not distinguish her stitching from the original stitching of the suit.

My husband had just gotten back a suit jacket and pants tailored and dry cleaned at Soon Cha's tailor shop and we are very impressed with the quality of work she did on it. My husband needed the jacket and pants to be taken in at the waist, along with having the sleeves and pant legs shortened. Her stitching was so fine that it blended in with the original stitching of the suit seamlessly. She matched the thread color on the inside and outside of the suit, which is a surprise since most tailors just care to do it for the outside. What I also love and is unique about her store is that she has a dressing room so when you bring in any outfit to be tailored, you can try it on and she can mark the adjustments when it is on you. I feel that ensures better accuracy and communication on what you want to be tailored, as well as what suggestions she has and what realistic changes can be made to any garment Her store really is a diamond in the rough, it is small and located in an inconspicuous mini strip-mall outside of Fort Meade. However, she has all the equipment and set up of an expert tailor, a professional sewing machine set up with at least 2 walls of colored thread, a dressing room and spot with a full length mirror and stand for clients. Having done some research on the cost of professional tailors, if you can get a suit tailored by a real tailor for under $100, you are getting an amazing deal. Also, when it comes to suits, do not rush a tailor because it is actually a very detailed and involved process to get the alternations done just right. Allow them as much time as they need. That being said, we actually got the suit back in less than a week and considering how detailed of a job she did, that is amazing. We would highly recommend her, she turned an off the rack, generic suit into something that fit and looked like a custom made suit for my husband.

Just don't use the dry cleaning service, it's terrible! I feel bad putting this on the soon cha tailoring page but I wish I would of been warned about the dry cleaning being so bad...

Good service right outside Fort Meade. It's price is higher than expected, but the quality speaks for itself.

You can't tell it was ever altered. If you are in the area and looking for a quality, friendly and reasonable tailor, I highly recommend Mayra!

I had Marya take in my dress at the waist/hip area and add a bustle, and she did a terrible job! If…read moreit weren't for the other tailor who was able to salvage my dress at the last minute, Marya would've ruined my $3k+ dress! First, after she took in the dress at the hips, a bulge in the fabric formed at my butt. According to another tailor, the bulge formed because Marya didn't alter the dress correctly, not because the dress didn't fit me correctly. It cost me $300 to get rid of the bulge, and finding a tailor to do this last-minute work was so stressful! The hip alterations also caused the buttons to come down my back and hips at a diagonal because Marya only took in the dress at one side, causing an asymmetry. Because she could only finish the hip alterations a week before the wedding, I had to remove all 12 dress buttons to fix the asymmetry. The other tailor would've had to completely reverse her alterations to properly fix the problem, which would've taken weeks. Second, she only took in the top layer of the dress, without taking in the under layers. This caused the larger under layers to bunch up or fold underneath the tighter top layer. It looked like streaks going down the back of my dress! Third, the first time my maid of honor tried to bustle my dress, one of the bustle buttons fell off! I had to rush to sew the button back on, which was extremely stressful because I don't even know how to sew! Lastly, she damaged the beading on the neckline of my dress. Multiple beads on one side of the neckline had fallen off when I got the dress back, creating a noticeable hole. Overall, Marya's poor alterations caused me so much stress a week before my wedding. I highly recommend that anyone with an expensive dress go elsewhere, because according to the tailor who was able to salvage my dress, Marya didn't have the skill or experience to correctly alter my dress!! Edit: - My dress is second-hand, but you can see that the neckline is not damaged in the photo Marya took at my first appointment with her. - Because I did not have a final fitting, I knew there was a chance the dress would be too tight. If the dress simply didn't fit me, I would not be writing this negative review. I'm writing this review because she damaged the neckline of my dress and did not alter my dress correctly, causing issues that could not be properly fixed within a week before my wedding (this was the earliest she could return my dress to me). It seems like she took shortcuts to save time when altering my dress, such as only taking it in on one side and not taking in the under layers of the dress. The only way the dress could be fixed within a week before my wedding was by shortening the zipper, making it extremely difficult to get into the dress, and removing most of the buttons. - I have no reason to lie in this review. Marya won't even give me a partial refund for her services, and I don't have time to go to small claims court. At this point, I just want to help out future brides by writing this honest review. - Marya is trying to get my honest review taken down on other sites, so there might be other negative reviews that she has suppressed.

Well when I got there to drop off my shirts to be cleaned and pressed there was a gentleman there that was not happy at all. Claimed they lost his suit. I gave the nice elderly lady a bag containing 10 brand new never worn shirts. I asked for them to be cleaned and pressed. I was a bit shocked 10 shirts cost 43 dollars.. I picked up the shirts 3 days later with hangers all wire tied together covered in a big plastic bag. Today I uncovered them and separated them in horror. 43 dollars to have brand new shirts look a wreck. They have more wrinkles than Ruth Bater Ginzburg. I NEED a few of these shirts in a few days AND need a pair of pants hemmed. What a mess this has become. Do I have them re do them ? And find a new competent cleaners or wash them and iron them myself. They cant be much worse. Wow What a TOTAL disappointment. Won't happen again. Shame on me. Gave them a seco d chance and Im so not impressed. ALL the shirts have pressed in wrinkles. Some have shiny spots from over heating. These were ALL brand new shirts. What kind of crack pot operation lets this lack of quality pass thru their doors.
