They also talked snarkily about me between themselves and she out loud laughed and told me to get another dress because it's 'too much' for my event. I really like Columbia Palace Cleaners and the lovely people that work there and always greet me so warmly and make me feel welcome. I'm usually able to retrieve my garments within a couple days of dropping them off but there is a rush option available if pickup is needed sooner. I like that they are conveniently located in a shopping center that does get a little congested at times, but for the most part is easy to find and offers plentiful parking. I've never had an issue with buttons, zippers, or damage to any garments I brought to CPC, but I did receive a jacket back with body odor scent I thought should have been removed or advised to me that it could not be, which is the reason for 4/5 stars. read more

Great dry cleaning and fixes/alterations along with excellent customer service. I'll be bringing all of my dry cleaning to this place for now on. I had a friend's wedding to attend, and because I no longer have to dress so formally for work, most of my suits were hidden way back in the closet, crumbled on its floor, no longer fitting, or covered by little holes the moths had eaten through. I dug the best of the bunch out and took it into Columbia Palace to see what they could do. Even though the owner first exclaimed there were too many holes, she took it anyway and got to work. Don't bring you clothes here. They shrank my clothes. This is by far the worst cleaners on earth. I bought my clothes here, and the lady over charged me. My friend, who is white, brought her sweat suits here, and she was charged for a sweat suit.. I brought a couple of sweat suit, and the owner charged me separately as if they were separatel items. My cost being almost $20 to get the sweat suit clean. She charged me $4 to wash a shirt. My bill was $80 for a couple pieces of clothing. When I went back to confront the owner about it, she was being manipulative and condescending. Then she gave me an excuse saying, "I typically charge extra to get stains out!" The only reason I took my clothing here is because it was next door to the UPS Store. This place is racially profiling it's customer. WARNING.....DONT BRING YOUR CLOTHING HERE. Great customer service and friendly staff. I've dropped off my clothes here on many occasions and never had a problem. There was this one time I dropped off my jacket because there was a huge stain on it. When I came back to pick it up, the stain was gone. I also noticed that they stitched back the pocket that was inside of my jacket and found a button that was missing and sewed it back together. Even though, I originally just ask for the stain to be removed. Which was above and beyond what I was expecting. read more

In conclusion my whole experience was horrible. Too much money for no service AT ALL. A clear cheating. If you question why the dirty spots are still there, the only thing you hear back is a yelling from person trying to convince you as you are blind, it is CLEAN. I would never go again to this place for any reason and I don't recommend this place, not even to my worst enemy. I have always had good experience taking my clothes here since I moved to Columbia. Any minor work (missing buttons, small tears etc.) they take care of. Anything they find in your pocket they let you know about. They get your clothes (Winter coats/ jackets etc.) really clean. They advertise that they use an enviromentally friendly organic solvent to clean your clothes. I am not sure what the name of it is but it works. read more

Brought in a cocktail dress with a couple of grease spots. Most cleaners would have no problem. They actually made the spots worse, left marks on material where they either put too much solvent or scorched during pressing and damaged the beading on the dress. They charged me $16 dollars for this horrible service. $16 to clean a garment is steep and if I was not pressed to have the dress in a week, I would have checked around. I would been better off at a place that charges $2.30 per garment. At least I would not have felt ripped off as I threw my fancy dress in the trash. read more
