Went into fax 2-9page documents. First, she made copies; I guess she couldn't figure out how to do 2-sided documents. Then she made multiple copies of my husband's documents and inserted them into mine. I guess she assumed they were the same which they were not as it had different account numbers on the top. Then only my husband's got 9 pages. Mine was 7 and she said they weren't in her machine. Check the glass part as well as the feeder tray. Well excuse me but I walked in with 9 pages each; i checked prior to walking in the building. $17.64 out of my $$$ a waste as she lost part of my document and didn't fax what I provided. If you're going in here expecting to pay FedEx prices, quickly walk out the door. We were charged $170.80 for a FedEx Priority Overnight small envelope that weighed less than a half a pound. I called FedEx, they gave me a ballpark of what the price should've been, which was $68.30. Called back to Sooner Mailbox and she said FedEx charges her to send packages. Over $100??????? The woman, Carrie, refused to ship my items due to them being makeup products (brushes and powder). She said makeup has alcohol in it and is explosive even though they are brushes and powder??? This is the second time she has refused to serve me for made up reasons. When I confronted her and asked for her name she refused to give it to me until I also refused to leave. Finally, when she did, she claimed that she was the owner and there was no one else to talk to about this whole situation. (she is not the owner). Some other comments say that she possibly discriminates. I, can say, I believe those accusations based on the fact that she's turned me away twice and has made up bogus reasons for doing so that have nothing to do with safety or shipping prohibited items. P.S. The FedEx office off of 36th and Main was able to ship my items and confirmed that none were prohibited. It does seem like she turned me away for no reason other than her possible prejudice. I called her up at the store and confronted her about her possible discrimination and the fact that she lied about being the only owner (owner is Fred Sterr) at which point she suddenly says I can bring the package back and she will ship it. All it took was her being called out for discrimination and lying about being the one and only owner/employee and I finally got her to be willing to ship my item. Not a chance. I'm going to be looking into their practices as far as who they turn away and who they accept as patrons. read more

First let me say that I'm shocked these people weren't already listed on Yelp but I'm happy to be able to list and review them. I first found them after going to OfficeMax and finding the prices for popcorn filling as well as bubblewrap was nearly $50 for what I needed, and they didn't have the box size that I needed either. So after looking for a while online for a shipping company, I found sooner mailbox. I contacted them immediately and the woman I spoke to was very polite over the phone and told me she had exactly what I needed and was available for pick up at that time, so I left OfficeMax and went straight to sooner mailbox where I found everything I needed for less than the cost of the bubble wrap alone at OfficeMax. I also was able to get a quote for shipping as well. The custom box that I got from my computer was absolutely perfect well-made and they sold me just the right amount of packing material and no more. The woman also told me to just lightly tape my box and bring it in when I was ready to ship it and if I needed more material that they would furnish me with it at that time but she thought everything was perfect. It was. I took the box home and I packed everything up and also had a few other packages that I decided to ship out but I still needed material to ship them with so I went back to sooner mailbox a few days later with my computer packed up and ready to go, as well as a few other items that needed packing and the man who was working that day was very helpful and boxed everything up for me and allowed me the option of placing insurance on the packages and gave me the best deal for what I needed (FedEx was cheapest). I was extremely impressed and happy that when I got to San Francisco nothing was broken and everything was packed exactly as they had packed it when I shipped it. Bravo! I've had some real nightmare experiences when it comes to shipping things of value or irreplaceable items cross country but these folks eased all my woes and I'm happy to give them 5 stars. Ms. Kerri at Sooner Mail Box is super knowledgeable and helpful every time. I use them to make posters for my business, shipping of course, gift wrapping, scanning large projects, making keys, buying office supplies, high quality color prints, stamps, converting things to .jpg, I mean, they, or she, is very instrumental to my business. Kerri is methodical and creative always helping me come up with a solution to my problems. And I actually find that she is super responsive to each customer. The only time it takes a long time is if there is someone in front of you with a big project. She takes orders via email and is super quick and efficient with those. These naysayers, I see here in the comments, don't value the level of accuracy and professionalism Kerri exudes. AND having done business with them so long, I can tell you I have seen all kinds in there. She don't discriminate. That's just silly. Go see her. She is a sweetie pie! read more

Shop keeper, Carrie, kept her cool in a very tense moment. When I arrived, a couple was struggling with something on their phone. Carrie couldn't help them until something email related was found. They stepped aside so I could take care of my shipment. At that point she noticed they weren't wearing mask, in spite of city ordinance. She asked them to please put them on and they began a political tirade about the uselessness of them. At that point they decided to get more and more angry and began calling Carrie a racist due to their brown skin. Thank goodness they left before things escalated further. I can't commend Carrie enough for maintaining her cool through the entire event. I know there are two sides to every story, but the portion of this one I laid witness to was a strong woman doing her job with dignity. read more

This place is a great find in Norman! Quick & Easy mail service with no lines! I had to get a few things notarized this past month. Saw their sign driving by offering this service. This was a bad experience. I was carrying a large heavy box. Was not acknowledged right away - one other customer. I was asked if I had a preprinted label - I said yes- she literally tossed the sticky envelope to me - and told me to put the box with the others along the wall - no physical help offered. Sooner Mailbox is everything a mail/copy/fax place should be. It's clean, you don't feel cramped, and there are plenty of office/packing supplies for sale. They have the requisite computers and printers/copiers to use. I believe the price for computer use is a quarter a minute. They have an array of packing supplies, and they will also pack your shipment for you. My first time at Sooner Mailbox, I needed several items notarized. What's great about this place is they have several employees that are notaries. I have been to too many mailbox/copy places that advertise notary services, but it turns out, they only have ONE notary on staff. So, if that person is gone, you are out of luck regarding the notary services. Not the case with Sooner Mailbox, where at least three (3) of their employees are notaries, possibly more. Sooner Mailbox has a great location on the corner of Berry and Main, and there is plenty of parking. This is my new mailbox place in Norman, and I highly recommend you use their services as well. read more

My wife went in there to ship a parcel and the woman who was working was the most unprofessional and rude customer service representative in any business I have ever come across. My wife asked simple questions and the woman working acted as though she was an idiot and talked down to her to the point that my wife was brought to tears. I've been using them for years, and I've always accepted that they are pretty slow because I want to support small, locally owned businesses when I can. I went by today to drop off a small return package for FedEx. I walked in and asked if she could please tape the return label on and she informed me that she didn't have enough tape because "a shipment hadn't arrived." The tape gun she held up was over half full. I was told I could buy a roll but that she was going to have to conserve her tape. I mean, really? Would two small pieces of tape ruin you? If you run out of tape could you not just pull some from your stock? I get that it's just a piece of tape, but I have been supporting your business for a long time, was it worth it to loose a customer? read more

She took the time to explain what went wrong the first time I tried to return the item and then went about fixing the problem. When I went to get something shipped for my mothers birthday, I was met with a lady that seemed irritated by my presence. I paid for what I needed and had to get something else so I left telling her I would be back, upon arriving 20 minutes later she seemed to forget who I was. I asked if I'd still be able to get my package shipped to where it needed to go by Friday(today is Tuesday) and she told me no and she seemed like I was too much of a hassle, so I left and went to the fedex on 36th and main.
