I can't say enough about the wonderful experiences my wife and I enjoyed at the Soothe Spa during our recent trip to Breckenridge. I had a fantastic massage with Larken and a relaxing pedicure from Stephanie, and my wife loved her massage with add-on service. Also, having booked several services during the week, we were both invited to enjoy the complimentary amenities in the Grotto, including the steam room, sauna, and hot tub, as well as the gym, even on days when only one of us had a service booked. Everything about the spa was extremely relaxing and highly professional. From the moment you walk in the ambience is so soothing you fell that you'd like to spend the next 24 hrs there. My wife and I had a couples massage and we were fortunate enough to have Talya and Kim perform the massage. Both were personal and professional. They asked us what areas we would like them to concentrate on and then began the massage. My experience with Kim was phenomenal. When she would find a knot she would concentrate on that area until it went away. When she was finished with my massage I felt like a new man. My wife's experience with Talya was the same she felt totally rejuvenated and relaxed. If you have an opportunity to get a massage at Grand Lodge Peak 7 I highly recommend you ask for Kim and or Talya you'll be glad you did. read more

Spa is well laid out. Grotto area is nice to use while waiting for your treatment, as is the lounge area where they have some fruit, teas, water and granola bars. Locker room where you make your own 3 digit code to secure your belongings. All the amenities you need to get showered and primped after your treatments were also available (hair dryer, mouthwash, feminine products, etc). Plastic bags for your wet swimsuits. Spa robes and slippers are provided. I was bummed that despite having one of the earliest appointments of the day we started 20 mins late for my treatment, which meant that the end of my massage felt very rushed. I got the Soothe Body Glow 80 minute Vichy treatment, which comes with a full body exfoliation with a Vichy shower rinse followed by a 50 minute massage. Exfoliation and Vichy: 5 stars. Massage: 5 stars for most of my body, 2 for my left leg that got the short end of the deal (last to be done before "times up!") Vichy shower was awesome. I'd never had this treatment done before and the way they transitioned between the exfoliation to the shower to the massage is clever. All treatments done on the same bed, they just switch out the layers of sheets/towels/drapes with minimal movement from you. So cool. I upgraded a couple add-on's -- the Sinus Soother and the Eye Treatment. Sinus Soother was fantastic and helped so much with my headaches and tension. Eye Treatment I could've done without (think collagen strips you can buy and do on your own). "Stu" did my services and he was amazing. So friendly, calming, and did an excellent job at all the different parts of my treatment as well as communicating what we'd be doing next and what I need to do. Oh my gosh! Went here for a birthday treatment and had chosen the Ultimate Zen body treatment including a scalp massage, body exfoliation , warm hydration wrap, and Swedish massage. Was worth EVERY penny! S/o to Talya for giving me the BEST body treatment that life has to offer. Special s/o to Macy, the receptionist, as well for being so helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating me. For the first time ver I fell asleep while getting a massage. As soon as I knew I was visiting Breckenridge, I wanted to book a spa treatment while my husband went snowboarding! Yes, this place is expensive, but the facial I got was amazing! The staff was very friendly and the spa is lovely! They have a nice grotto (hot tub) area along with a sauna and steam room you can use before or after your spa services. They also have tea, cucumber water, and light snacks in the treatment area. I'm not sure how the parking is but I parked in town and took the free gondola up to Peak 7. Sometimes you don't review just a service received. Sometimes it's about follow up and making sure clients are pleased with their exu. So this is more about Heidi the manager. I had a little snafu at the spa and what's important is that Heidi followed up and made things right. So just know that whatever happens you will be well taken care of. More than likely your massage or treatment is going to be awesome. It's a lovely space, calm and quieting. The grotto is open with social distancing and a beautiful place to relax. I am in the homestretch of being the wedding planner and coordinator of my daughter's wedding and it can get very stressful. A very good friend gifted me with the Soothe Massage a few months ago and decided that last weekend would be the perfect time to use it. We enjoyed the ride up to Breckenridge from Denver, stopped for lunch, and arrived at the spa just before my appointment time. The young ladies at the reception desk were very nice and had me pick out a scent for the aromatherapy part of the massage. I chose the oolong - which I absolutely loved. I was given a very plush robe and some rubber slide shoes and shown to the locker room. The room was small but laid out nicely so it didn't feel crowded. They had all the amenities - from q-tips to make-up removing cloths - at the two sink vanity. I put my clothes in the locker, bundled up in the robe and headed to the massage waiting area. Allison was waiting for me and took me right into the room with two tables - one was heated and one cooled. I chose the heated one, on low, and was very comfortable. She talked to me about what I wanted and where to concentrate her efforts and we decided my neck and shoulders would need the most work. She did a great job and showed me where I was especially tight and recommended some stretching and (surprise) more massages. She worked her magic on my neck and managed to get all the way down to my feet in the very short 50 minutes. I haven't had a lot of massages in my life but I know Allison was the best. After my massage, I met my friend in the locker room and we headed for the grotto area. There's a beautiful hot tub with a waterfall, several lounge chairs, a steam room and a sauna. It was pretty crowded and it would have been nice to be able to relax on one of the lounge chairs and just listen to the waterfall but there was a group of 4 younger people who decided to have a loud conversation in the hot tub - even though there are multiple signs requesting that the area stay quiet. I did take advantage of both the steam room and sauna while my friend headed to the hot tub outside - where it wasn't quite as warm and humid. The grotto is a wonderful little area that I'm sure would be very enjoyable if the other people were more considerate. My friend and I met back in the locker room and she surprised me with goodies that she had bought at the reception desk. She gave me a tube of the oolong probiotic lotion (I still don't understand how lotion can be probiotic) and some under eye masks. Both were incredibly expensive for what they are ($37 for the lotion and $20 for a set of 3 eye masks) but who am I to look a gift horse... Anyway, the whole experience is expensive but pampering, and so incredibly enjoyable. read more

This was the best experience ever. I had a great day at the spa with my partner but I accidentally left my ring I had made for my retirement in one of the massage rooms and left without it. The housekeeper, Sol, found it and turned it in. I can't believe how lucky I was to have her find it. What an upstanding person and Gaby, who answers the phone was so nice and is planning to ship it to me. First, my masseuse refused to add a service (oxygen) because it was going to be too loud, but I found out that my other friends at the spa had the same service. After my appointment I purchased something at the gift shop that broke within 24 hours and they refused to replace or refund my money. What a terrible experience. Spending hundreds of dollars at a spa, you should walk away with an excellent experience. And I could not be more disappointed. I am still dealing with the vendor of the broken item who says they can't help me because I bought it at the spa. So frustrating. read more

Came here with my husband since our spa at Grand Colorado was booked. Very friendly place with great pedicure technicians who do good quality work! The grotto is gorgeous and relaxing. The only reason for removing ia star is because the nail salon is ugly and outdated and needs new chairs that actually recline. They do things differently here from Texas such as not using wax on your feet. It was overall a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, just wish the nail room matched the rest of the spa. read more

Definitely check out places in town rather than going to this spa on property. The price of a shellac pedicure here is $85, which would be fine if the service was at least decent. The front desk personnel were friendly but my therapist, Brooke, was either having a really terrible day or is just incredibly unfriendly. We started the pedicure 10 minutes late and finished early...it's only a 50 minute treatment. She also announced flippantly that the massage chair we were using is broken - the other chair was open and potentially operational but she didn't offer that information, "just this one used to work, now it doesn't" When trying to make small talk since you can't fully relax during a shellac treatment she just told me she had been booked all day since 9 with a huff...end of conversation - got it (my treatment time was at 1) The grotto area was fine but cramped, overly busy, and didn't feel as clean as it should. Overall high treatment prices are warranted if you're offering a luxury service but honestly most of my pedicures at large mani/pedi places far exceeded my experience here for one third of the price. read more

Had a prenatal massage, which was very enjoyable. Nice masseuse, good skills, comfortable room. The issues I experienced with this spa came after the massage. The locker room is a disaster. It's way too small for the multi-use it serves. People from the spa, the fitness center, and the slopes use it. It's weird and stressful to come back from a massage to kids in ski boots running around and shrieking, and using the small amount of resources available. Had to wait several minutes to use a bathroom (stressful when pregnant after a long massage) and the sinks, couldn't access my locker because there were so many people in the tiny space, had to maneuver around the cleaning crew who were also trying to do their jobs. Though can't complain too much about that given the skiers tracking snow and mud in.... Total waste of a stress-reducing massage. Will not be back. read more

I love a good pampering! A girl friend and i decided to make a long day of a day on the slopes by adding some pampering to wait out the traffic. We decided to go with an on-slope option and chose this spa. We arrived and the staff was very welcoming, but after we chose our aromatherapy flavor we were given our robes and shoes and told how to wind around the gym, find the locker room, where to read to figure out the lockers, how to exit the locker room and find the "quiet" room to visit prior to our appointments. Sadly we forgot to bring bathing suits to we were unable to partake of the grotto - i'm used to spa's having single sex areas, so needing a suit is not common for me. Also we were not informed of what was in the grotto, how it worked or how to find it. The other weird thing is the location of the lockers, it is right at the entry to the locker room. Luckily the external entrance makes is not easy for someone to look in the locker room and see you changing that isn't of the same sex, but still weird. We changed, snuggled up in our robes and headed to the calm room. My friend was getting a facial and i was going for a massage. There is a lovely water feature, but the chairs were not super comfy for relaxing. After i got a lovely cup of tea, i was retrieved for my massage. Sadly the room they had me in shared a room with the garage - i could hear cars honking, people talking, children screaching... sigh. so not relaxing. Bonus points for having a towel warmer to place your robe - that was excellent after the massage! The massage itself was pretty good, i asked for firm and i got FIRM!! so relaxing it was not, but i was pretty excited to see how i felt the next day with some of my knots being gone! The final kick in the pants was the cost. $120 for a massage, plus the recommended 20% tip. Woah! Can't say i got my $120 worth, i never even got into the grotto. If I was staying at peak 7 and had unlimmited cash, i might come back... but otherwise, probably not. read more

While visiting Breckenridge on business, my coworkers hit the slopes. I, being a non-skier, opted for a more leisurely option and sought it out via a massage at Soothe. Overall, my experience was quite nice. I arrived over an hour early so I could enjoy some decompression time in The Grotto before my massage. Bring your swimsuit, for the Grotto is coed and features a large hot tub, sauna, steam room, and chairs for relaxing. It's a bit of an echo chamber, which is fine, until two guests decide to sit in the hot tub, beneath the waterfalls, and try to carry on a conversation. Of course, to be heard, they had to shout at each other which pretty much brought my decompression time to a stop. I'm sure they just missed the "Please be quiet" signs posted all over the place... Not Soothe's fault. I ventured from the Grotto to the relaxing room to await my masseuse. The relaxing room is quiet and comfortable, offering water and a variety of hot teas. Katy, my masseuse, arrived right on time and provided a magnificent Swedish massage. The treatment room itself was nicely appointed, comfortable, and even featured a heated rack on which to hang my towel. Afterward, she waited for me outside the door with a glass of cool water and a hot towel. I took those back into the relaxing room - there was one chair open. The rest were occupied by a group of ladies, in their robes, chatting up a storm. I was more than uncomfortable, so I slammed my water and thus ended my R&R at Soothe. Admittedly, I am new to the spa experience. And, thanks to Soothe, I'm hooked. I highly recommend the experience. read more

Wonderful. A friend and myself decided not to ski one day and have a full day to ourselves. I got a gel manicure and she got a gel pedicure. We were inticed by the grotto, sauna, and hot tub which is why we went in the first place but I don't think our nail packages came with the feature and we were too awkward to ask to use it. Great spa, I had an amazing massage from Annetta and the grotto is a wonderful way to relax as part of your spa day. Spa staff were amazing and very friendly and helpful. They had all the toiletries you need and lockers to store your belongings. It is tucked into the hotel and parking was difficult to figure out since all the spaces say permit required, so I wish we got a little guidance on this before arriving. I was very disappointed with the hotel staff and experience though. We wanted some wine and food after our spa treatments and staff told us we were not allowed to use the restrooms so we were sent on a wild goose chase through the hotel down halls where we could not access the spa again due to required key card access to enter the fitness center in order to access the spa. We were told the only bathrooms we could use were by entering the spa again. Due to the hotel staff and their rudeness I wish the spa had the ability to order wine and snacks so you don't have to deal with the hotel situation. read more

I just wanted to reach out about my experience on something I felt was extremely inappropriate, unprofessional and violating. I have had multiple full body massages and I usually do not have a preference on a male or female masseuse, however, after this experience I don't know that I will ever be comfortable with a male again. I had Mike during my full body massage. I always keep my underwear on during my massages and during this massage, he pulled the sides of my underwear down to my thighs... when finished with the massage, told me "You can pull up your panties now." I will say, I was not in any way touched inappropriately, but I felt extremely uncomfortable and, afterward, a bit violated. No masseuse has ever touched my underwear or adjusted them other than tucking the blanket at MOST. I just wanted you aware of it as I am sure other women would feel the same way. On the flip side, the facility was very nice and my facial afterward with Dawn was amazing. I just wish I had requested a female. Just never had a bad experience with either gender before. read more

I had the worst massage of my life at this place and paid $100 for it. My masseuse did a terrible job and basically injured my neck in a way that I was in pain for a week. I had to take pain killers to be able to sleep! During my massage I thought she is not qualified for the job as she was rubbing my muscles so fast instead of giving me a proper massage. Don't recommend this place, the locker room is dirty, their jacuzzi was broken and they injured my neck and shoulder. read more

Called at 2pm to see if I could drop my wife off for a message. I was told that they were open from 3:15 on. Great.... So when I dropped my wife off at 3pm she was told their message therapist was "off site" and could get there at 4:30. After my wife explained that wouldn't work with our schedule they offered to schedule her the next day for a facial at 1 and then a message at 4. Really? And the hot tub is closed if it's raining or lightening since it shares the same same filtration system as the outdoor facilities. read more

My masseuse was good but the locker room was disgusting. Not only were things thrown everywhere, the floor felt sticky and dirty. It was the same locker room for the gym, so it didn't feel like a spa retreat. There was no private place to change without having to staddle a toilet and the Grotto was way too small to be relaxing. We went in to view it, but it was a bunch of other couples that wanted to talk in a hot tub, so we decided against using it. For the way the hotel appears and the price of the appointment, I expected a lot more. I get massages often, all over the world, so I have a lot to compare my visit it to. I have been to the Soothe Spa a few times and have received excellent service each time. I am now 5.5 months pregnant and have been having shoulder and neck pain that keeps me up all night. We are staying at Grand Lodge for 5 nights so I scheduled an 80 minute prenatal massage with Autumn. She was phenomenal. I appreciated her flexibility in positioning me so that I didn't have to lay on my side and it was obvious that she was very comfortable with prenatal massage. I'm now dreaming about the next opportunity I can have to indulge again. It is very expensive ($165 for 80 minutes), however this was to be expected at a resort, in a resort town. read more

I had a facial and stephany was wonderful. It was peaceful and relaxing. My skin felt lovely afterwards. The MOST disappointing part of the experience was the grotto. I had been looking forward to sitting there after my service and relaxing. Something a mother of a three year old does not often get. It was ruined by a group of women who did not respect the environment. We only spent a few minutes in there before leaving due to the advertised environment being not what it seemed. I think the most inappropriate part was when we informed the front desk Kate (associate) stated something along the lines of "well they are a group of women who are here together" to which my reply was that is what the outdoor hot tubs are for- groups of people who want to be loud and chat. Incredibly disappointing and preferential treatment. So ...I guess since there is preferential treatment and they do one offs i suggest when you go bring a bottle of wine (which is supposedly not allowed) and enjoy yourself. My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend in Breckenridge, and topped it off with a couples massage at Soothe Day Spa. I booked our appointment about six weeks in advance, and was pleased to find that we would be billed at the current, discounted "Spring Specials" rates. At other spas I've had a hard time getting this to happen, so I was happy to see that Soothe was so agreeable to this. Their suggested 20% gratuity was based on the non-discounted rate, but I didn't mind. The locker room was small (2 bathrooms, 2 showers, lockers and a two-sink vanity); however, there were never more than 2 other people in there at any one time. A fun little extra in the locker room was a little machine that spins your swimsuit and extracts extra water from it. My husband and I arrived 45 minutes early to enjoy the Grotto before enjoying our massages. Its oversized hot tub has plenty of seating, and a little waterfall spilling in to it enhances the ambiance. There are lounge chairs around it, and while there aren't many, we didn't have a hard time finding chairs. The lighting was a little dim for reading magazines, but manageable. We didn't use the sauna or steam room, but they're accessible from the Grotto. We sat in the 'quiet room' while waiting for our massages. It had magazines, a water cooler, and tea. Our massage therapists were attentive, professional, and provided excellent massages. For being at such a fancy resort, I so appreciated that the staff at Soothe were not at all pretentious or snooty. I felt really comfortable at Soothe and enjoyed my time. The facials were good, nothing out of this world but the scalp, neck, and arm massages that accompanied was a nice surprise.
