Exceptional massages and facial! We were in town from Michigan and after 3 long days of skiing my husband and I desperately needed a massage for our tired muscles - we both prefer deep tissue. Jill was outstanding. So skilled at getting at the many pesky knots behind my shoulder blades and then all the surprise places i didn't know needed attention like my wrists, fingers, ears and scalp. She's very methodical and applied perfect deep pressure for me. You can tell she takes great pride in her craft and I was in heaven. I also had a soothing facial in the same appt and left feeling such relief, very relaxed, and my skin hydrated. Allison was my husband's massage therapist and his exact words were "this was the best massage I've ever had." She also applied the deep pressure he preferred and had some nice stretching techniques to tackle the tension spots to bring relief. He's now upset that we don't live nearby and have to wait until our next trip to Breckenridge to get another massage here. It's a smaller space - the vibe is homey, personal, and organic layered with plants, textures, and objects (collectibles, books, art). Very welcoming. Was visiting from out of town and my friend found this place for our spa day, while our husband's were out snow boarding. While my 30-min facial with Julie was great, I can't really say that I had a great massage with Morgan. I opted for a deep tissue massage and it was far from that. I let her know mid massage that she can increase the pressure but that didn't help much. My massage from Morgan was more of a light rub with oil versus a deep tissue massage. I wouldn't recommend her for massage services especially for what you would be paying, $180+ for an hour. The pricing doesn't match the services received. Julie, my esthetician was great. Very knowledgeable. Knows her stuff and provides great recommendations. I wish I would have had longer time with her. My facial was actually worth it for the price I paid. Just be sure your masseuse knows what they are doing! UPDATE: After seeing my review, Sol reached out to me directly to learn more about my experience. It was obvious they were caring and were apologetic about the pain I've been experiencing. I know unequivocally this was not intentional by the masseuse. Sol's prompt and willingness to make things 'right' has been a relief; they also offered a partial refund or a gift certificate upon my return visit. Out of all the massages I've ever received, the best one was here at Sol Impressions! My friend and I had appointments for a 1-hour Swedish massage. The online booking process was flawless and the reminders were useful. Upon walking into the building, the massage parlor is on the second floor and you remove your shoes outside of their doors. During this visit we both opted to add the "high altitude relief" option and it was the greatest decision ever. Coming from Texas, we obviously found it difficult to breathe in Breckenridge so I cannot recommend this option enough. I forgot the name of my masseuse, but he was excellent! I indicated that I wanted him to focus on my back, shoulders, and legs. He definitely relieved those areas and then some! He also incorporated some Thai massage techniques, which I've never tried before, and they were excellent. For Covid precautions, we were instructed to keep our masks on the whole time. I think it's safe to say that my friend and I would both return here the next time we visit Breckenridge! read more

Sadly, I can only give one star. On the intake sheet I circled deep tissue, and I also told Morgan deep tissue. Her technique was a light rub, so I asked for more pressure. It increased slightly. Three more times I asked for more pressure-I felt like I was being a pain to have to ask four times, but she has a light touch. I didn't leave feeling great and relaxed, I felt like I still needed a massage. I see that another client had a similar experience with this same massage therapist. I think that she should be assigned to people who are interested in a light Swedish massage. read more

One star for cleanliness of establishment and another for friendliness of the staff. The actual location is hidden in on the 2nd floor of a small office building but there are signs in the front of the building and all the way up the stairs to tell you how to find it. Unfortunately, I am not impressed with their attempt at a deep tissue massage. It was more like a Swedish massage. I had a kink in my neck/shoulder area and decided some professional help to work the knot out. I saw the great reviews and reasonable price and booked an hour massage. The receptionist asked me the type of massage I wanted and I said deep tissue. I spoke to the masseuse as she asked me if I had any specific areas of concern. I told her I had a kink on one side of my neck/shoulder and am usually pretty tight in that area as well as my lower back. She acknowledged my concerns by replying that it was mostly my back that I had concerns with and I said yes. She asked me how much pressure I preferred for my deep tissue massage (light, medium, strong or somewhere in between); I said medium and figured she'd ask me during the massage how the pressure was. She never did. The amount of pressure wasn't even close to medium. The massage was a Swedish massage through and through; which wasn't what I had asked for. There also wasn't very much focus on the specific side of my neck/shoulder that I had originally indicated. She went through her massage routine like normal; spending what seemed like equal time on everything. Unfortunately, this was not even close to a deep tissue massage and I still have a kink in my neck/shoulder. My husband had the same experience with another masseuse and in his own words, 'it was a Swedish massage; not deep tissue.' I would NOT recommend coming here and asking for a deep tissue massage.
