A family member had made reservations at Boundaries about a week prior. We get there early and have a couple drinks and noticed the time had passed from our reservation. We informed one of the bartenders and unfortunately their hostess was not there so we were accidentally skipped. It was already a very busy night at Boundaries with many people at the bar and many of the tables already taken. But they acted quickly, threw some tables together and we got seated very quickly. We could tell that they were understaffed that evening. Many of us have worked in the hospitality business and we absolutely understand when these things happen. We got our orders in and after a very minor wait, we got our food. It was hot,it was delicious, it was cooked perfectly. I want to commend the staff for working so hard last evening and being very sincere and nice. We all collectively agreed that this will not be the last time we will be dining at boundaries. When you go, get the deep fried pickles, they were delicious!!! Best ones I've ever had.

Whether its an undercooked hamburger or an Italian beef with barely any meat, or this most recent meal; It got so bad before I swore off that I would only order the taco salad because I knew the kitchen didnt make it. The most recent bad meal involved a chicken sandwich with no seasoning whatsoever on the chicken. Like many such Boundaries, meals, it lay half-eaten on my plate as I paid the overpriced bill. Service is inconsistent, but generally pretty good. Overall this is a place to get a drink, skip the dining unless its Friday fish fry.

I would have to say I was impressed. I read the Trip Advisor reviews and this place was #9 out of 63 restaurants in Beloit Wisconsin. I'm from Chicago and it takes a lot for me to give 5 stars. What topped off the last star was the service. Anyone that knows homemade soups from scratch need to try this place. I had two bowls of there chicken noodle and was gonna go for a third but I needed room for the main coarse and let's just say WOW! For the main I ordered there so called famous meat loaf dinner that the waiter recommended because it was on special. Let me tell you that the homemade meat sauce that covered the meat loaf slices was off the hook, tasted like some real homemade Italian food from the south side of Chicago. You will need to ask for a Togo container because the dishes are piled high here. This place is a real mom and pop diner that's got that "I feel like I'm at home place."
