Ate there recently. Got the roast beef dinner. It was listed on a board as a Sunday special. But in the menu it was same price! Then the older waitress knew what we'd asked for and no matter what it was, it would just sit over there waiting for us to get it, while she totally ignored us and that something was ready. What a gem of a restaurant! The Clinton Kitchen has been serving the community since 1968. A very clean comfortable small town diner with home cooked meals (I had the pot roast dinner on recommendation from one of the regulars). They are also known for their pies. After Christmas tree shopping we stopped at Clinton Kitchen for lunch. Seven adults and a toddler squeezed into this diner that was already full of locals (a good sign). There were no complaints. I've eaten here for well over 30 years now, and this place has changed not a bit. The food is great, the people are friendly and the waitresses are top notch. Thanks to my husband I found everything I wanted in a small town diner! The food is always good. We have had many of the soups and are always happy. The real draw here are the pies! They have the best homemade pies! They have a list that they keep track of what kinds they have that day. That is the first thing I ask when we walk in. I always order my favorite, the Dutch Apple, before I order my meal so I am sure to get a piece before it is gone! I wish there was a Clinton Kitchen in my town. It is worth the drive! read more

Very good!! I had the "corned beef hash" very good!! One thing I would change would be cooking the corned beef hash a little longer.... Other than that everything was delicious!! Very well priced!!! Not a 'Yelper', but I had to get it just so I could write this review. This restaurant is something special. The food quality and atmosphere are something unique in this day in age. Family-run for close to 50 years, and they have a strong 'home-cookin' vibe to prove it. If you go for breakfast, esp. with kids, be sure to ask for a made to order pancake: if your little one can think it, they'll try and make it. My boys opted for ninja turtles and batman, but we also saw a little girl get a butterfly while we were there. Coming from Washington, DC, it was refreshing to eat at a restaurant that truly felt American. After multiple visits to the clinton kitchen this place always seems to hit the spot. Whether it be fair prices, out of this world pie or friendly staff I cant choose which keeps me coming back for more. While driving through town I had an itching for some good old fashioned homemade pie. Where to go otherwise than the Clinton kitchen. Upon entering I realized I did not have enough cash for a couple pieces of their pie. I was approached by the hostess who I explained my dire situation too. I was in town from the east coast for only a few days, and I yearned for a piece of their dutch apple sensation (a la mode of course). She kindly smiled and said thats okay lets make a deal. Give us what you can and we will be happy to serve you some pie. I was so taken back by their kindness, and graciously thanked them. Twas the Christmas season and I humbly accepted their offer. However I did not want the good deed to go unnoticed. I returned back to the kitchen after a quick visit to the ATM and happily thanked them again.
