Hard to believe there are no recent reviews so I will leave one. This shop is owned by Lina and Ron. They are "new" owners for the last 2+ years that I have been going there. They try their best to fit me in last minute if I do not have a reservation which helps because I always go on the fly. Everyone is very kind and does a great job. My gel nails always last 3+ weeks. They are a little pricy but I believe it has to do with the rent increases and I am a local in Loggers Run and do not mind paying a little extra to have the convenience of a great nail salon in my backyard. Great spot in boca to get your nails done. I got the dip powder with a French manicure and I was very happy with the job. They took me as a walk in on Sunday which was very convenient. It's in the same shopping plaza as LA LA land which makes for a great afternoon of dad watching the kids while mommy gets some me time. The price are very fair which I appreciate. read more

Let me start off by saying I have an insane schedule and it's very difficult for me to make/keep appointments. Dominique never gives me a hard time about rescheduling or being a few minutes late. She ALWAYS accommodates me even with short notice. Pricing is super reasonable and she's worth every penny. Now for the fun part... I am constantly OBSESSED with my nails! I never know what I want and a lot of times I just let her do her thing and I'm never ever disappointed. Her work is amazing I've never had an issue with lifting. I can easily go 3 weeks between fills and besides the obvious new growth my nails still look perfect. I highly recommend her... she even cleaned my ring for me tonight while I got my nails done! I have gotten several good pedicures at this place, but just asked for a simple design on a gel manicure and they told me they could not do a simple design, but they tried anyway and it was the worst manicure of my life. It looks terrible even after asking her to fix it several times and she left me bleeding. It was a huge waste of money and time - I will not be coming back. read more

Sophie's is the BEST hidden diamond in Boca Raton. Marie, the owner, makes you feel warm and cozy, and also provides the most relaxing and thorough facial I have ever had. Everyone there is sweet and the atmosphere has none of that typical "cattiness" you so often find in salons. The people all genuinely seem to like and respect each other and that absolutely transfers to the experience you have as a client. Sophie's is a small salon out here in West Boca, doing only nails, facials, waxing and massage. Nice, low key decor and really comfy pedi chairs. I have been going here for years for pedicures on a regular basis. I throw in a manicure or facial every so often as a treat. Everyone here is amazing, they turn my too-often barefoot feet back into the polished gems they are. Marie, the owner, is so sweet and gives the most amazing, relaxing facials ever. I went for a manicure and gel pedicure and ended up only getting the pedicure which took over 2 hours she had to start over atleast 3 times because the paint was messing up and looking smeared in 9 months pregnant and had to sit there while they tried again and again they didn't even have time to do the manicure by the time they finally finished not that I would get it there anyways at that point all of that and they still charged me full price for everything not even a dollar off for the inconvenience I will never go there again and I hope no one else has to go through this read more

I went to Sophie's Nail Spa a few weeks ago. I had a special event and wanted a French pedicure. I showed the nail technician a picture on my phone of the light pink color I wanted to use as the base. She said she could do it without a problem. However, it turned out they didn't have any light pink colors at the salon like I wanted and she didn't even know how to do a French pedicure! She was polishing my nails sideways and had to do the French pedicure over several times! After about an hour and a half of being in the pedicure seat, I wound up just getting a regular pedicure and being very upset! However, I never lost my cool and never yelled in the salon, just expressed being upset. The manicurist was trying to be apologetic in a very sarcastic way, putting the blame on me when SHE was the one that wasn't able to do what I asked, even after showing her a picture! A very rude Asian manicurist in the salon told her "Don't apologize to her!!!" That same Asian lady told me "Bring your own nail polish!" The male Asian man in the shop at the front desk who may have been the owner said and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! I went to this salon many years ago and had a great experience, but I would NEVER step foot in this salon EVER again!!! read more

Went to Sophia's based on reviews and location. Was optimistic that my journey for a superb salon had been resolved. Greeted by smiles and a pleasant staff I find myself looking forward to a relaxing experience. Semi relaxing, as I leave the Salon I am charged $8.00 more than local Salons (within a 3 mi radius) with no special services but my nails and pedicure looked beautiful.... I'll pay the extra fee for excellence. ONE week later thumbs are chipping, one and a half weeks from treatment my nails are peeling (gels)! My manicures with gels have always lasted 4 weeks .... Not this one .... Peeled the rest off my self by end of 1.5 wks .... Sooooo disappointed! 2 thumbs down from me! read more

I'm so stoked I decided to come here! I was a walk in after work around 6:45pm. The guy who answered when I called was sweet and they helped me right away when I walked in. The last salon I went to destroyed my nails so I asked tons of questions about what to do or if they can fix things. The man who did my nails suggested next gen since my nails are thin and I wash my hands often because of my job and explained that this is why my natural nails were peeling from the acrylic. I was reluctant to do next gen but after he took the tile to explain things and gave me his opinions i was more apt to trust his word. He even noticed how narrow the last place filed my natural nails and told me how he could fix it to look more natural again, and if I was i happy unhappy or the polish breaks from them being thin that he'll fix them free of charge. I'll definitely be going back! Just know that they only take cash tips. The don't add one to the card typically but since I didn't know they let me do it. Sweet staff! read more

She was unfriendly, unhelpful when I asked what a "next generation" manicure was, unhelpful when I was trying to pick a nail color I liked, seeing as I was a newbie did not explain to me the process nor how to care for any part of my nails, did not clean my cuticles, did not use clean/sterile instruments, dipped my nails in the dip powder jar rather than pouring on or using another bowl, cut up my cuticles and fingers while cleaning, cut up my toes and trimmed huge parts of my toenails I didn't want cut (the sides), and after all that, my pedicure got chipped literally the same day it was done, and the dip manicure chipped less than a week after it was done with the edge is coming off one of my nails. As I was checking out I asked the checkout girl how to take care of my new manicure and she just stared at me blankly (does not speak English). Stay. Away. Sometimes I need to call and reschedule my appointment and they are always very accommodating, even when I have to change more than once!! I never liked getting pedicures before but once Sharon started doing my pedicures, I was hooked!! She does a great job and even puts up with my ticklishness. Went to Sophie's solely based on the reviews here from Yelp. I was looking for a place I could call "home" for a great pedicure & excited because of all the great reviews. I am a former nail technician, so I have very high expectations. Based on the reviews, I thought I'd be in luck. Unfortunately, I was not so lucky. Upon arriving, I was greeted by two very nice ladies. I was taken back to a chair for my appointment & the technician greeted me (do not have her name). While doing my pedicure, she got up several times, and even took a phone call for 5 minutes or so (not professional). Pedicure was nothing special and not at all worthy of the price. The worst part is, after about three weeks, my nails started splitting vertically as they were growing out. This is due to the technician buffing the top of the nail beds way too much. I have NEVER had this happen with my pedicures. Because of this, my nails keep splitting & breaking off as they are growing out. It is going on the THIRD month & my nails still can not be filed straight across like I like them. Frustrating. Until I am able to find my "perfect" pedicurist, I'll just be going back to the larger sub-par salons. Not great, but sadly, better than the pedicure I got here. read more

Very disappointed and very pricy. Pedicure 28.00 for basically just painting your toes.... I am used to a more extensive pedicure, which includes cleaning under the nails, cutting nails, and a simple foot and leg rub with a scrubbing gel. Awful. Will never go there again and they should be ashamed. Plus my toes look horrible. Have never had such a poor pedicure before. I'm not one to start a confrontation...but I will post my experience! Needed my nails done badly and couldn't get an appointment at my usual place so I looked up places here in Boca and I saw great reviews for Sophie's so called to see if they had any appointments. They told me to come in soon as I can and they'll take me. Soon as I walked in they were ready for my appointment and sat down right away. Staff there is so friendly and was an overall great experience. I'm very picky about my nails (I have pink and white acrylics) and I couldn't be any happier with how they came out. My appointment was for 11AM today but I got called asking if I could come in at 11:15AM as they were running behind. Not a problem...I appreciated the call. When I called for directions I was given a very curt response that my appointment was at 11AM and not 11:15 and I was late. I explained the phone call and the response back was oh..nobody told me. I was seated in a great pedicure station and very comfortable chair. That was the end of the comfort. I have never experienced a more painful pedicure. My feet are red and my nailbeds are inflammed. After the pedicure was completed the tech said I could stay in the chair to dry if I wanted. I never saw her again. I did notice the tub in the chair next to me was being prepared for someone else. The sides of the tub had skin shavings from the pumicing all over it. The water was not much cleaner. I am hoping my feet calm down before work tomorrow. I am not sure I will be able to get a pair of shoes on. My advice to anyone is to skip this nail salon. Not clean, painful and unfriendly. read more
