We needed to have four recliner chairs upholstered and based on other's recommendations, we chose Sophie's for the job. We were delighted with the results. Not only did they do beautiful work on all four chairs, but they personally made sure that I was satisfied with the upholstering. When I expressed my concern that the cushions of one of the chairs was not as firm as I would like, the owner personally came to my house, checked the chair out and took it back to the shop for a redo. From their professional and considerate delivery people to the selection of fabrics to the quality of the workmanship ---all of it was A+++. Their pricing is reasonable. We know this because we had upholstery work done in Atlanta about 15 years ago, and Sophie's costs were in line with what we paid back then. I cannot recommend them enough!!! Theano is so professional and knowledgeable. She knows every fabric in that store!!! She was so quick with her responses and was very upfront with costs. I have used other places in town for re-upholstery and there always seemed to be a hidden fee or this or that yo slowly drive up the price. They are so very busy (because they are so great) so the lead time to have my two chairs recovered was about 6 weeks. Once they picked up the chairs, the project took about 10 days and that included pick up and delivery. The pick up delivery fee for me was $125 and they guys were so great that came. They were very nice and very respectful of my home making sure not track a mess into my home. I got all the extra fabric back without even asking and it will be great for some throw pillows in the future. I wish I could give them 10 stars. You do need to make an appointment for a consultation and at first i thought this was inconvenient but in the end, I really liked it because she was really able to dedicate undivided attention to help me. read more
