I just had both arms and piping of my sectional reupholstered by Keys Upholstery and we are totally pleased with the outcome. The original faux leather started peeling after the freeze and looked like a cat got to it. I soon covered the arms with a throw. The sectional was picked up on a Thursday and to our surprise was delivered back to us the following Wednesday. We went with a high end beautiful faux leather that will never peel. So happy with the look and feel. There are various fabrics and textures to select from. The owners are excellent and friendly to work with as they assist you in picking out the right materials. The company takes excellent care when picking up and delivering. The workmanship was outstanding! If you have a piece of expensive furniture think twice before you get rid of it. With the price of quality furniture It was definitely worth renewing ours with a better fabric to make new again. Thank you Nikki and staff for quality and superb services. read more

Had an accent chair with two broken legs that needed repairing. The folks here were knowledgeable and reasonable in their estimates to repair (both on time and cost). I was fortunate enough that it was easier than they thought, and I got my chair back the next day. If I ever need another repair I will certainly be returning to them. read more

We recently had our breakfast room chairs reupholstered and we couldn't be happier. Not only did they save us money by suggesting a different fabric that would work better since our cats sometimes get on the chairs, but they also touched up the wood on our chairs. Other places told us it would take 3-4 weeks to complete our 4 chairs, Keys told us it would a week but we were pleasantly surprised when we got a call 2 days later telling us that our chairs where ready to be picked up. My first experience with Keys Upholstery was good... but alas, Keys Upholstery are horrible business people.... I had a couch upholstered by them early this year...nice job. bill paid; pick and delivery were solid. A company i thought i could recommend. I returned this month to have a matching love seat done. i had to chase them down. Finally made arrangements.... I was expecting the same good service this time around. I made it clear to Nikki that i was going to unavailable when the love seat was picked up. The following day, we had a series of missed calls/unavailable calls. I had two things on my agenda...complete my deposit of $325 AND secure the exact yardage of material necessary to complete the job (coming from another source). Nasty Nikki (the owner) was snotty on the phone because i couldn't drop everything and take her call immediately that moment....Friday's a work day in my world too. she obviously needs to work on her customer service skills.......long story short...i requested a return of my unfinished love seat and have chosen to go elsewhere. The two dolts that returned my love seat and couch were just as nasty as Nikki...I guess pets do take after their owners....There are a zillion upholstery companies in Texas...i suggest you go to one of them before you ever consider Keys Upholstery. It is with a heavy heart that I write this review. I began using Keys last Spring and have had slip covers made for several sofas. My delivery today was 2 hard cased goods that had been lacquered. Although the owner sometimes seems flighty, she is generally good-natured and does an adequate job for the price. There are 2 sides to every story and I can admit that this morning I raised my voice in chorus to match hers. It boils down to this: 3 weeks ago on a Wednesday, Nikki called to say my lacquered pieces were done and ready for delivery. I told her I could take delivery W,T,F,S or any day up until Th. of the following week when I was headed out of town. She called that next Monday and we scheduled for Tuesday morning. Tuesday mid-morning (remember now, I stayed home for delivery) she called to say her delivery guy hadn't shown, she needed to reschedule. I wasn't in in a hurry for the pieces, so I didn't have a problem with that. Reminding her that I was out of town Th and F, she said she'd call next week to schedule. Fast forward to this morning, Thursday, she called me to see if I could take delivery tomorrow. I couldn't, as I'm again leaving town for the weekend, but told her I could head home today for delivery or we could do it next week. At this point I got a snippy comment about me NEVER being able to take delivery and how she needed the money today. (You should know readers, that Keys doesn't take all forms of payments, so I always pay in cash. I offered to pay in full at drop off, which was refused and during the first delivery conversation I offered to bring cash to her that day...both times I was told payment could wait until delivery.) She complained that I hadn't bothered to return her call from yesterday (I hadn't gotten it yet as I was at a client's loading furniture until 12:45am) and that my window for delivery is too tight, and oh yes, she needs the money. The whole time I am thinking: 1. I am the client 2. You're the one who cancelled the original delivery 3. It's none of your business if I leave town two Friday's in a row 4. If you needed to unload it prior to the weekend, perhaps you should have called to schedule last week or the beginning of this week 5. If your cash flow is that tenuous, perhaps you should have taken me up on payment the first two times I offered. We agreed to do the delivery today, I told her I thought it best that we not work together again, the items were just delivered. As usual, the delivery guys are as good as gold and even though both of the pieces had chipped paint on them, one of the guys touched it up for me. Knowing our business relationship was coming to an end, don't you think that Keys would have also included any extra fabric that I have at their workroom? They didn't. Add insult to injury, now I have to drive over there next week to retrieve it. read more
