I ended up finding the owners email and was able to reach out to them to try to learn more and find a more reasonable solution, but even going over their new math, it still didn't make sense, and still had me over 20% higher than last year for the same work. They cited that I was charged incorrect last season (despite having their invoices with exact man-hour times spent and their own provided labor rate). Additionally, the new contract (which I did not sign) created new clauses in the fineprint to do price hikes in subsequent years without needing a reason. So disappointed, but I'm not comfortable going into contract with a company that doesn't honor their own contracts, hoping you won't notice.

Absolute Garbage- 2 years of cutting- Year 1, they…read moreconfirmed every other week and did so for the first 2 months of the season, then suddenly we got a very high bill and they insisted because of an error they came every week for the month of July. When I called to tell them the issue and I couldn't tell the grass was really getting cut as often as they billed, they said it was their error but GPS showed the truck was on the block (maybe a mix up with a neighbor account?) and we still had to pay. Year 2 we set a garden up and blocked off the area with plenty of room to work around. The entire summer I asked a couple times for them to weed whack when we were here around the area and had to reach out to the office a couple times about another area they consistently overlooked. During this time we were dealing with an ill family member so going out back behind the shed to inspect their job was really on the back burner. Near the end of season I emailed 4 days before they came out and again asked them to cut this particular area. The crew showed up on cut day and because I never got a response I walked out and showed the crew and they said they would take care of it. Of course 15 min later they were racing out of here and never did the cut or even knocked to say why, just ran off. I again emailed the office and the woman that responded insisted they were just informed that day of the issue which was a lie (I reminded of the emails that are date and time stamped as everyone with common sense knows) then she said the guy took a picture and sent it to her and said a special crew would be needed and would cost extra. Frustrated enough, I insisted the regular crew just handle it and it was bs the guy told me he would cut it but then after allegedly deciding not to, left without a word. This "job" they were going to need a special crew for? I ended up doing in about 5 minutes by hand, how could your industrial mower not have done that? Literally just tall weed grass. Year 3- they emailed letting us know when they would be starting again- LMAO- nicely replied back no thanks. One star because Yelp won't let you leave 0, but if you feel like baby sitting a lawn service, then 5 because they were consistent with needing constant monitoring.
