They had provided great Service for many years for me until this week. Phoned last week to get a key Fob. I was told to complete the form on-line. Which I did twice. I felt it wasn't working so I stopped by in person. Key fob, registration and willing to complete the form in person. I was told you must email or complete the form online. I will never use this Company again. What BS. Horrible Customer Service. Waste of time. Use to be good. Must have new owners or new managers. Just wanted a backup key FOB. No customer service at all . They will not speak to over the phone . Nothing I sent them works . Basically cost 400 bucks for a door stop !! Do not use them ! My car has no electrical issues, it ran fine before I lost the key . So sad that you take time to make a response here but can't talk on the phone. This used to be called SOS diagnostic. If you are looking to send in your skreem module also known as immobilizer or transponder, I would definitely not recommend this place. They reprogrammed my immobilizer for my T1N sprinter and it worked for one month then completely locked me out of starting and I had to go with another company to do a skreem imobilizer delete. They do not offer any customer service for this service you have to order it online through their website after reading some confusing instructions and can only ask emails to the owner and will only respond when he feels like it. He is also very rude and has no business being in customer service. read more

We have been dealing with a very complicated mercedes problem. They came to us via recommendation from another shop, so we walked in; they were very busy. Despite being slammed, the gentleman that was at the counter was kind and patient and willing to listen. He kept asking questions for us to the man behind the wall, and not once did either of them become irritated. We felt heard, respected and walked away with a sigh of relief that we finally were getting some help with this situation. (Preface) I've re-written this review twice to shorten it, and it's still a book. I've been doing business with SOS for over 15 years - pretty much without any hiccups. I don't think this situation was unique, but it's with "hiccups" you find out what a business's customer service is really made of. Although I was probably their last appointment of the day at the end of the week, I had called in advance to be sure the time was okay -- yet I still felt I got rushed - especially at the end of my visit. I brought an original fob along with a new fob to be programmed. While working on the new FOB - Chad found my original wasn't locking /unlocking for some reason. I figured that was fine - just fix both and I'd pay the extra amount as well. He only enabled the new key immobilizer, but couldn't program the new or original, and couldn't explain why. He didn't do ANY other trouble shooting - just sluffed me off, saying he couldn't do anything, gave back my key along with the invoice, full price. They tried to imply my key was aftermarket - saying... "it didn't have any part numbers." Of course not! They ALREADY knew that. I had told them the plastic shell itself, which electronically does nothing, was new, aftermarket! The components inside, however were ALL genuine OEM - verified TWICE. Anyway... since they weren't going to do anything else - I tried asking for more info on how to approach the problem, but Chad just sluffed me off again, and told me to check a website on how to program the key myself. ?!? WhHaatT the wWhAtT ?!? Isn't that what I was paying a locksmith to do? ANY business would try SOME kind of actual trouble shooting in order to complete the job but nothing. I gave up asking them and figured I'd check with the supplier, and call back Monday. I called Monday and spoke with Michaela several points. She was patronizing and dismissive, putting me on hold several times. In the end I STILL tried to get info about their other services that would have corrected the problem. Michaela said she would check with the locksmith for info & options and call me back. ** She never called ** Even though Chad enabled one of the immobilizers he didn't program the fobs & didn't know why he couldn't. He didn't even know you only needed one key (not two) to program fob functions for my make, model, and year. (I know it -- because I've done it several times) So in the end... I paid for a job half done, leaving me without fully functional keys, and no idea (besides dealership) of possible options or solutions. Normally a rating for SOS = 4.5 - 5 stars. A job 1/2 done - half the stars = 2 - 2.5 stars. read more

I sent an e mail describing my problem and SOS Diagnostics responded with an answer and the answer wowrked saving me the cost of sending the unit out to them for an un needed repair. "They know what they are doing and they are good at it" was the quote from another locksmith that was out of state! There was no locksmith in Reno that could duplicate my Ducati key which was made out of stainless steel, even providing them with a duplicate. I didn't even care if the local locksmith cut my blank motorcycle key, just cut me a key from any blank. No help locally. Contacted SOS and they just needed a picture of the key from my camera phone and they were able to cut me a new key. Fits like it was an OEM, I shipped my blank and the turnaround time was quick. Price was very reasonable considering the aggravations that other local locksmith gave me informing me they could not make me a copy. They are not just about cutting high end keys, but can reprogram your FAB. So they are not only skilled but they have the computer technology to program just about any key or FAB. Nobody even comes close, should be your only call. read more

BEWARE! The owner Chad Edwards is a lair, a crook, and a thief. I was having issues with my Sprinter van, and after researching my options, I sent my vans computer into SOS to be programmed. They has for FOUR parts: Key,Skreem unit, old ecm, replacement ecm. After sending in the parts with the required paperwork, I received a call from a female representative on a Friday stating that my ecm had been programmed and was ready to ship back. She asked for my debit card info, and the price was a higher than the email quoted. She stated it was for shipping costs and was clearly stated in the email with the quote. As I spoke to her, I pulled up the email, and it did not say anything about shipping costs. I explained this to her, and she brushed it off. I paid and inquired if SOS would be interested in purchasing my old ecm. She said I would need to speak with the owner, Chad Edwards. I sent him an email immediately after and he responded they would purchase the ecm if it was "good" for $185, but would need to test it on Monday. I asked him to wait until Monday to ship my parts back to me, so he could test the ecm, and if they weren't interested, he could send ALL my parts back to me. I received the package the next week, and my old ecm was not in the package. I received an voicemail from a rep stating my ecm was bad, and they would dispose of my property (READ: My property). I sent an email thanking Chad for programming my ecm, but informed him that I wanted my old ecm (my property) returned to me. He proceeded to lie and state that I had not asked for him to wait to send the package back, so I referred to earlier message that was clear. Chad Edwards proceeded to talk down to me in a condescending unprofessional manner, and never apologized. After several of these unprofessional emails, he said he would contact his shipping department for a shipping quote, and I countered that he was paying shipping back to me, as it was his companies error that had led to mess. He agreed to send my property back, and after I emailed to confirm, he stated they were closed on Fridays, yet they called me on a Friday to accept payment, and shipped my partial package on a Friday. More lies and games from Mr. Edwards. Mr. Edwards emailed on January 13th, 2019 stating: "Yes, I agree, I should have called you before shipping your package, but again, our primary concern was getting your good ECM to you ASAP and I was very busy last week. I assumed you would appreciate this. Your package was sealed up and ready to ship a week ago when you added the request to purchase your old ECM. We had to pull your part from the line to the Post Office, remove your ECM, repack it and then send it to the Post Office. The non-working one was of little to no concern. It is after all DEAD. Your demanding we ship it immediately is unreasonable. However, since I did make a mistake by assuming, we will ship your dead ECM back next week on our dime if you insist" I have not received it back. I noticed that SOS sells the ecm that Chad Edwards stole from me for $795 on the website. So they had 795 reason to steal from me, which this is clear. I am willing to provide any supporting documents and email to this case. If SOS responds without a tracking number to Fallston, MD 21047, than they are indeed thieves. Chad Edwards, I hope you find some peace someday, you are obviously a sad angry man, and shouldn't be running a business. read more

Bought a Hypermotard Ducati with no keys. Most local places wanted over $300 to cut and program new keys. SOS was able to do it for a fraction of the price.
