i was playing with someones dog at a bottle recyling place when she spontaneously nose dived me,…read moreknocking me down and my car key out of my hand. i played with her a moment and then walked across the st where i realized i didnt have my key, and so walked back, but i didint see it, even though the same 3 people as when i walked away were still there (though the guy with the dog immediately booked it) it was gone. pretty much the worst possible place i could have dropped a key, save... sewer grate... off a cliff-- hot lava.... so basically, my car didnt move for several days while i arranged to have a key made. i had ultimately prepared to take the lock out of the door and have a friend bring it to a locksmith, and just before doing that THIS locksmith contacted me in amongst the all of the other quotes i had bulk requested. he offered to do it for the same price as the other locksmith, only i didn't have to take the lock out and bring it to him; plus he asssured me that the key would work, and he would make sure it started the car before he left. so i agreed. and in the end he was accessible, polite, proficient , AND i was finially able to drive the car away. nor do i regret petting that dog. i actually wish she was here right now so i could play with her.

He had his key machine in his van ready to go and I mentioned to him I had my own set of keys to duplicate since someone else I went to wasn't really responding and doubled price on me for an older car! You would think a car with a proximity key would cost more right? Someone quoted me $80 for that key and $150 per key for my 2007 civic. With the amount of work that goes in to proximity keys I was stunned by the $150 up charge for an older car. Originally I was going to get a spare key for my 2017 Acura but have decided that I wanted to get my civic keys done as a priority. Reuven was friendly and honest from the get go, gave me a flat rate and then offered to program for just a little bit more. He didn't mind at all and I really appreciated the generosity. Thank you again, I almost want to find an excuse to get my Acura keys done next !
