Brought my 18 year old son to Dr. Sosna to have 4 wisdom teeth extracted. The entire staff from the girls at the desk to Dr. Sosna was great. The extraction went quickly and there was no swelling or pain. We even got a call from them the next day for a wellness check. A week later it was almost as if nothing happened. I want to add that the day of extraction, my son's girlfriend came with us and while we were in the recovery room, she passed out and had a seizure. The nurse in the room reacted quickly and the entire staff had the situation under control immediately. If not for their actions, the situation could have turned bad quickly. I recommend you stay as far away from this psychopath as you can. He botched a wisdom tooth extraction on Me 3 years ago and I have not been the same I've been in pain for 3 years. This is THE WORST medical office ever! The dentist broke my husbands tooth and didn't even tell him. They scheduled him a follow up visit for a few days after his procedure, and they weren't even there when he returned. They wrote the time and day on a card and NO ONE was there. They have no care for people or their time. Then I receive a bill almost a YEAR LATER for nonsense. When I called to speak to the receptionist about what the bill was for, because it didn't say on it, she was COMPLETELY rude and aggressive. It was weird. We only went here because it was the only place our insurance would approve, but do yourself a favor and run far far away from this place. If you have to travel farther, do it. This place is awful. Saw Dr. Sosna a couple of weeks ago to have a wisdom tooth pulled. The office staff was efficient and timely getting me in to see the doctor. I had some trepidation to get the procedure but the root was about to be exposed so I decided to do it. The procedure was surprisingly quick and completely painless. The office staff followed up with me the next day to make sure I was ok, which I was but it is nice to get a follow-up call. I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Sosna. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a "BUSINESS" period. The office staff is run by what I truly believe to be demons who must of possessed the bodies of unattractive women to cause emotional anguish to all who enter these doors. As you can see by the other reviews, it is a bad place. Do not go here. So happy I went somewhere else to have my wisdom teeth removed. Even paid cash to do it elsewhere because I honestly felt like they might hurt me in their office. Also they told me I was too anxious of a patient to do surgery on the day I came in and made me reschedule another month out and that I HAD TO go under anesthesia to get the teeth out. The other 5 STAR on YELP rated oral surgeon didn't put me under, made me feel comfortable and only made me wait 4 days for the entire process of phone call to surgery to home. I can not believe this place is open. I am very seriously considering reporting them. read more

If I could leave a 0/5 Star review I would. The doctor is extremely unprofessional and rude. The nursing staff and doctor were bickering the entire time. The front desk is rude. My girlfriend went for wisdom teeth surgery and the doctor gave her a superficial blood clot in her hand and lower arm due to him not removing a tourniquet while administering her a sedative in her hand IV. Doctor tried to brush it off on a follow up appointment and stated, "what do you expect, you had a major surgery". Two hospital trips and 6 weeks later, the blood clot is still healing due to his incompetence. During the surgery, he left a huge gash across my girlfriend's face due to the clamp slipping. After the surgery and coming out of anesthesia, the nurse and staff were extremely impatient and tried rushing her out when she wasn't fully recovered yet. They stated "there's nothing else we can do here, leave" and escorted us out 25 minutes after her surgery. This is the worst experience I've ever had. STAY FAR AWAY. read more

The staff at the office are A+, very professional, and comforting. Dr. Sosna is wonderful! He explains everything, and his years of experience show. The medicine he uses to put you under is new, and you don't get that hungover feeling, or side effects. Considering how painful and upsetting oral surgery can be, it was a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend him! Also, as a disclaimer, before I saw him, I read the other reviews, and people say he is rude, etc. I didn't experience any of that, at all. His personality is that of a man who knows his stuff, and is factual. He doesn't coddle people, and could come off as "grumpy". BUT, he does his best to make sure you're not in any discomfort, and makes sure you know what to expect. The nurses and staff do a great job with emotional support, if you need that. He does care about the patient, that is evident once you speak with him, and ask questions about the procedure. Anyhow, I would rather have a doctor that has experience, and is great at his profession, than one who is all personality, but lacks experience and talent. read more

Heard him cursing at a patient in the room adjacent to me right before my appointment to have my wisdom teeth removed. Gave me almost no post-op instructions, and allowed me to leave the building without ANY gauze in my mouth! My parents, who drove me there, found me in the backseat with blood ALL over my clothes and the car seat. He also gave us no curved syringe to keep the food out of the extraction site, which later got infected. Truly awful dental practice, and I'm usually not one to complain about places. read more

I have never in my entire life been mistreated by a healthcare professional the way that I have been mistreated by Howard Sosna. From the moment he entered the room, I had a bad vibe about him. He is the most unprofessional, disrespectful person I have ever came in contact with. I recently had a consultation to have my wisdom teeth removed. Upon asking valid questions, I was met with rude and dismissive responses as if I had no right to dare question his procedures. As a patient, I have every right to ask as many questions as I want and considering the fact that I am having a major surgery with potential side effects, he should've done everything he could to make his patient feel comfortable in doing so. After snapping on me for no reason at all, I proceeded to decline his services and immediately left his office in complete outrage. This dentist does not have the right to harass his patients and doesn't deserve to have a license. I am disgusted and appalled at the fact that he is still practicing. If he behaves this way to your face, who knows what he'll say or do to you while you're under general anesthesia. Do yourself a favor and find a better dentist/oral surgeon. One with a better personality who won't treat you like a second class citizen! read more
