First dirty soda has me worried I will want these all the time. I got the "My Hero" which is Dr Pepper, raspberry, coconut, and raspberry puree. The flavor combination was great but had an artificial sweetener aftertaste which I think could be fixed by asking for a little bit less of the raspberry syrup. I have seen Sota all over my tiktok and decided I had to give it a try! Unfortunately... this place just didn't live up to the hype for me. This place is located in a strip mall and feels more like a "pop up" shop more than anything. There is no decor or seating. With that being said, they seem to move extremely quick! Staff was friendly and very sweet! The one drink that showed up on my FYP (TikTok) the most, was Stacy's Mom, so I knew I had to give it a try! Unfortunately, it was disappointing... this tasted like something I could make at home and really didn't taste that different from just dr. Pepper... They seem to have a larger menu of drinks, so may be this one just didn't sit well with me. I'd be willing to go back and try again. But this trip just left me scratching my head as to why it's so popular. I would say definitely give this place a try! They have so many options! I really enjoyed their location in Eden Prairie, so I decided to give this one a shot. It is pretty standard. I got an extra large Coke Zero with cream and cherry flavoring and it was really good. I was kidnapped and brought here by surprise and I loved it !!! I got the wannabe butterscotch and vanilla with cream in a Pepsi zero freaking knocked my socks off ! My husband got Iwish in Pepsi zero cherry vanilla and coconut cream. 100% if you like sodas they will mix and match flavors the menu is just recommendations. Tried the new brick and mortar location that just opened. The space is fairly minimalistic with no seating so drinks are to go only for now. They have a variety of custom flavor combos inspired by the 90s. We've stopped twice and service was good both times but, both times they were out of one thing or another. The first time it was at least two flavor syrups and second was all root beer. Hopefully that means that business is so good that they're running out of things but it might be enough to deter return customers. Another thing is that I don't think they have sugar free syrup options so that might be a consideration for future. It's a unique idea for Maple Grove and seems to have a pretty steady customer base based on our visits. Definitely worth a try! read more

I want to give this a 5 star in the near future. I have been to other flavored soda shops out west and Sota does a pretty good job of meeting the expectation. The Sota shop is small with a cozy set up. The service was quick and friendly. The prep area is set up very efficiently to get your order out as quick as possible and the staff moved like a well oiled machine. I love the soda choices. They have a menu but you can ask to have a different soda if you aren't a fan of the one that is on menu. (Ex: I got the 2 Pina Coladas which is supposed to be made with Dr Pepper but asked them to make it with Diet Mt Dew instead) They have a limited menu but you can add different flavors to your drink for an additional charge. They have 3 sizes available to choose: 20oz, 32oz & 44oz. Priced $3, $4 & $5 respectively. I'm looking forward to heading back soon. read more

This place is so great!! I've been visiting ever since they started as a small food truck in the parking lot of Lowe's, and I'm so happy that they've moved into a new, permanent location centrally in Maple Grove. What's especially great is the prices! 24oz for $3, 32oz for $4, or 44oz(!) for $5! Including tax. I've stuck by the "Streets" drink ever since I've started going here- vanilla, coconut, and coconut cream, but also recommend the 1979 drink or Stacy's mom. Super duper tasty. There are also a decent bit of "diet" drink options, and they have a couple sugar free syrups available. Also make sure to pick up a punch card - once you get 10 drinks purchased, you'll get one free.. trust me.. you'll find yourself reaching that very soon. Be warned, ever since the place has bursted in popularity, weekend lines can be quite lengthy, oftentimes going out the door. Parking can also get pretty packed.
