This is a review for their Pumpkin Patch…read more Location/Parking: It is located in their family farm in Poteet. They have a section for parking that quickly filled up so guest also parked in the vendor parking. Cost: There are two cost to enter to choose from; $10 and $15. The $15 admission includes the pumpkin and hayride. Activities: Most of the activities are included with the admission. The activities that were included are simple crafts, pumpkin checkers, outdoor play area with a seesaw, swing, climber, bowling, horseshoe, cornhole, outdoor checkers, bounce house, petting area and photo areas galore. The few activities you need to pay for are the sand art activity, barrel train and the fishing area (bring your own fishing pole). Vendors: They had a wide variety of vendors selling drinks such as homemade wine from their vineyard, food trucks and farms store filled with pickled garlic and pickles, etc. Overall, my family had a great experience at this cut your pumpkin off the vine. Pumpkin Patch, flower field, apple cannon, kettle corn popcorn, slides, the corn maize of course, and tons of other activities for the whole family. We also love the live music. Sadly this year we had our first major bad experience with the staff. So Hope and David.. this is for you who offered no apologies, no sense of understanding, and who encouraged us to take to the internet to express our dissatisfaction. We found ourselves lost in the corn maize, and our older boys (age 12 and 15) forged ahead to help us and a group of other families find our way out. They got ahead of us so we did not see fully what happened but we walked up on a female employee, Hope, cutting off our boys bands and sticking white hand on them letting the world no they are no longer welcome inside the corn maize for the rest of our day. We come to find out the boys saw the next marker to help us out and they stepped over some yellow caution tape in an open space to get to it and back track to help us out. But Hope was essentially hiding in the corn, and gave no warning, no offer for assistance, and no human decency towards our boys and instead immediately punished them. When we confronted Hope, she admitted that this was the most difficult part of the maize but continued to give me no apologies or any sense of respect or customer service when explaining the boys were now banned from the maize. Then she audibly huffed in annoyance when we did not allow her to take the boys from us and had to escort our whole group out of the maize. From there David, a manager was brought down from a cherry picker over seeing the maize and proceeded to treat us in the same cold and unapologetic manner. To top it all off he could not truly weigh in on the situation because he was on his phone while "watching" the maize. Overall we were extremely disappointed to be treated so poorly and without any decency from these two employees, Hope and David. We never received an apology, a crumb of understanding, or any politeness. We understand our boys disobeyed a rule, but they did not destroy any property, were not rude or disrespectful to anyone, and were just trying to be helpful and take the lead in helping our family out of the maize.

There, the pumpkins grew in the ground and you chose them off the vine. Here, they adorn church parking lots and you chose them from their perch in a haystack. In the end, the result is just the same and this pumpkin patch is extra special. Here, you can find fun for the whole family. Everything from rides to food and drinks. You pay a few bucks to get in and then have a blast with your kids until they're so worn out they fall asleep in the car on the ride home. It's the perfect kind of family night!

The area is set up so that each theme is juuuust far enough away from the other to get individual pictures that look like they came from multiple places. 2. Honestly, for $12 it's a good investment if you are serious about posting. 3. On a nice day, it is a quick (and I mean quick) and fun little excursion that can be roped right into a Pearl day. 4. It can definitely keep a kid busy for long enough. The festival boasts a bouncy pumpkin, a corn pit with a slide, swings, and some sort of piggy back ride that I can't quite explain, and a lasso challenge. There is also a train ride, but let me tell you that thing just does a few laps around the place which can be no larger than a high school track. Cons 1. Ads for this place went way too hard, they have a way of filming video and taking pictures to make it look far bigger than it really is. 2. If you aren't in it for the gram, $12 is a lot to charge for...not much. The website warns that space is limited so you should buy tickets online ahead of time, and I wonder if that is because if you walked up and saw the place at the entrance, a lot of people would probably turn right back around. 3. A few of the things advertised were definitely not included. There was no music, face painting, and they had tables set up to sell drinks that were unmanned for my entire visit. 4. I'm sure it depends on the timing of your visit, but some of the photo displays were either missing pumpkins or had decorations that were getting a little old n' moldy. Upkeep is difficult for certain. I cannot say if I recommend this or not. I suppose it comes down to what you are looking for and where you place $12 on your expense scale. Lol I was excited for all of the photo ops! Parking situation is tricky... very very limited parking near the entrance but there is another parking spot adjacent to the actual pumpkin patch. I would highly recommend taking a tripod or investing in one lol to avoid inconveniencing strangers to take photos. :/ we got so many great photos! Highly highly recommend this place. Very kid/family/date night friendly! You can purchase the pumpkins as well, btw.. they vary in prices, some are priced by weight! They have a cute little train that goes around the patch, a jumping area in the middle of the patch, a corn kernel pit that was surprisingly a lot of fun even for us adults. Very fun experience! It happened the day I decided to go to Poteet, five cousins was closed and they posted on their Facebook page other farms suggestions in the area. This one caught my eye. It is family owned and even the grand kids are there showing people how to pick the strawberries. It is a great place for a family outing. Very friendly and generous. They don't even weight the strawberries... you get a box and even overfill it for $20 It was a fun day and for sure I will return!
