Field was full of these flowers

Been here like 6 times now - I always come looking for peach cobbler and ice cream, and they always have it. I honestly refuse to get my Fredericksburg peach cobbler anywhere else at this point. This last time I came they only had cinnamon ice cream; it was good but my favorite to date is still their lavender ice cream it is just the LOVELIEST thing on their delicious cobbler! I don't know what they put in it to make it so good, but it's a winner. Interestingly this last time I went a couple weeks ago, I found they had opened their own wine tasting room - that was new. It was cute in there, they had some couches, a Christmas tree/holiday decor, and a flat screen with the football game on. The ambiance was very chill~ Thanks for always being around Jenschke - please keep the cobbler and lavender ice cream stocked!

Big sign outside saying "Peach Ice cream"...we were on the hunt for it!! I thought it would be handscooped, but it was just containers pre-packed in a cooler. They were not very peachy and a little icy. I ate the whole thing, but wouldn't repeat here.

They have the best peach ice cream and peach cobbler here. In addition, they have the cutest merchandise to pick from. There's a fun table with swings, as chairs, outside. That is so fun!

The PEACH COBBLER here. Y'all when I say run to get some dessert here, Run! Their peach cobbler came out so fresh and hot (and topped with some ice cream) and was some of the best peach cobbler I've had! It's a lot sweeter than typical peach cobbler though as a heads up(which I liked). Their peach ice cream was also a hit with our group and super tasty!! You can tell was super fresh. I love that you could also buy fresh peaches there and they had super cute souvenirs to get as well! Souvenirs were more boutique prices but prices for the desserts were pretty reasonable! This was a perfect stop right across from some good Tex Mex as well to end our trip. They have a lot of outdoor seating to sit at as well. Highly recommend and would definitely stop back in if in town again!

Easy and fun to pick flowers

This is a great family farm :) we loved the wildflowers! Gorgeous and flourishing even in 90 degree heat. Their peach cobbler and salsas were good too. Worth the stop!

Online it appears you are buying a 30-minute window. You're not. And if you arrive late, employees will berate you.

Terrible customer service and extremely rude employees. We bought tickets for u-pick privileges. ($5 per person) Online it appears you are purchasing a 30-minute window. We arrived 5 minutes into our window. Employee told us we missed the shuttle. I tried to kindly explain the confusion created by their own online system (see photo). I wasn't asking for a refund or exception, just trying to explain why we thought we had more time. This woman started literally screaming at me and followed me out to the parking lot saying she "doesn't get paid enough to deal with people like me." She had to be restrained by another employer. Completely inappropriate and unhinged.

This particular review is for the new LeRoys Tex-Mex restaurant here at the orchard. We loved it!! Its a cute little space with very friendly service from Hallie and good food and wine. We only had the chip and dip trio but based on how good all three dips are I assume the other items are just as good. We were told the daily special (carnitas enchiladas) was really good. We also had peach cobbler OF COURSE. I had a glass of house Sauvignon Blanc and hubby had a local Altstadt brew. Both great. Definitely come in and try them out. It's become a local favorite so that's saying a lot.

Delicious strawberry cobbler with ice cream

Jenschke Orchards was the perfect family outing! I heard about this place from a friend and saw some pictures of her pictures. I knew immediately I needed to take my little one. She loves strawberries and that is what is currently in season to pick. As the seasons change the crop to pick does as well. It's free to pick and then you pay for what you pick by the pound. The strawberries seemed inexpensive and we filled up 2 small boxes. My child loved doing this so much. It was worth every minute and we've decided as a family we are definitely coming back. When we checked out they had fresh strawberry cobbler and strawberry and vanilla ice cream! It was a must have for us. So we sat outside on the bench and consumed ever bit - the strawberry cobbler topped with strawberry ice cream was my favorite! If you are looking for a nice, quick, fun family outing for everyone this is the spot!

Was disappointed when we got home and many of the peaches in the container were green and unripe. They have signs all over saying don't touch the peaches so it's hard to know if the prepackage container you are buying has ripe peaches. My recommendation is avoid the prepackaged peaches in the store and only buy from the u pick em so you know what you're getting. Or go elsewhere.

Awesome dog-friendly and family-friendly activity. We have been both peach-picking (now requires reservations) and strawberry-picking here. The fruit is delicious, and both experiences were tons of fun, though it was a pretty hot and sunny day when we picked strawberries this year. It is still Texas, so don't forget to wear sunscreen and perhaps a hat! FYI dogs are allowed in the picking areas, but not on the tractor nor inside the store. Luckily there is shade and picnic tables in front of the store where dogs can rest and the people can enjoy the peach ice cream. Yum!

Finally made the trek over to check out Wildseed Farms. We came across this place accidentally as…read morewe were leaving Enchanted Rock. At that time, there was nothing going on and nothing growing so we decided to come back around when spring was happening. So this time around, definitely more popular, more cars and people wanting to check the place out. Essentially I was expecting this to be more of a field of flowers. But, it's basically that (although there wasn't much of it yet, just some flowers to see) and garden decor, pots, gifts, wine, pickled things, plants and LOTS of wildflower seeds to plant at home. The plants, some were decently priced, most were a little pricier. Just depends on which ones. Majority of the ones we wanted were a little better price wise vs going to home depot, at least we think so! We walked around the adventure trail (since it was free) to get some steps in and have the kids burn some of their energy out while roaming around (minus my toddler, she would want to run away and fast haha so I changed my mind on that idea). The trail itself was open, spacious and a great way to get some fresh air. You can be lucky enough to catch some glimpses of some flowers that could be sprouting out even though there's not much! The shops: they had different types of store fronts, one for food/snack/pickled items alongside a small cafe where you can order beer and wine, another for more accessories, clothing and some planting items too! They had standing wine tasting area near the trail walking area if you want to walk around with some wine. Parking: so much parking, so definitely not to worry although I can image it being more difficult when the flowers really bloom in their field.

Even though we had chilly weather and a little rain, it didn't stop us one bit. We ended up picking close to seven pounds of fresh strawberries and they were so tasty and juicy. The whole experience of walking row by row and picking the perfect berry was so much fun. There's even a helpful little sign explaining how to pick the strawberries properly so they last longer. *Pro tip, leave a bit of the stem on the strawberry as you pick them, they stay fresh longer. We learned that after the fact, but we'll definitely do it right next time. The farm is huge, around 152 acres of expansive land, which was very green, open, and peaceful. It wasn't crowded at all the day we went, which made it even more enjoyable. The kids had a blast. They have a cute little train ride, a fun bouncing area, and plenty of space for the kiddies to run around. The goats were a big highlight for us. You can buy feed for 25 cents a tiny cup, and we went through four pretty quickly - you might want to grab more upfront because they close at 5 and we didn't get a chance to go back for more goat feed. The setup around the goat area was really nice and whimsical, and there's just so much open space to explore and walk and get fresh air. They also have a small gift shop with ice cream and little goodies, which was a nice touch after being out in the fields. Overall, it was such a peaceful, fun, and memorable day. Beautiful views, great atmosphere, and a perfect mix of activities for both kids and adults. We'll absolutely be back. Easily a five star experience.

The owner has been crying about my review to Yelp over and over, begging for it to be deleted over…read moreand over. Because he has no real defense about my critique, he's been straw manning that my review is "mean" and "hateful" -- haha this is what softies in America do these days. My family and I visited this place in early Sept 2025. Like many other negative reviews state, the animals are in a sad state. They have something called the Giraffe Experience there, where you gotta pay $5 per person, they give you lettuce, and you go up on a platform to feed the giraffes. There was an employee -- I requested the Giraffe Experience from her. She condescendingly explained to us that they were out of lettuce to feed the giraffe, so we couldn't do it. I asked, "Well, can we at least go up on the platform to see the giraffe from up there?" She rudely replied "You can, but you'd still have to pay the full price of $5/person." I started to say something, but she rudely said "Think about it and let me know", turned her back to me, and walked away. How rude! I walked over to her at the front desk and asked "Well, since y'all ran out of the food, and we'd just go up to the platform to see the giraffe, could we at least get a discount?" Now here, the defensive Owner will say "It was after Labor Day weekend and we ran out of lettuce!" This is such a lame excuse. Labor Day weekend and resultant high volume demand from it is completely predictable, and the correct action by them would have been to anticipate that and stockpile lettuce accordingly. This is basic inventory mgmt that any decent business owner should know. But this guy just makes excuses. But that's fine, I get it, rinky dink business owner is an amateur and made an inventory mistake by running out of lettuce. Fine. Then take ownership of that mistake and make up for it to your customers by letting them at least go up on the platform for free. Why on earth should they still have to pay the $5 bc YOU ran out of lettuce? It is illogical. The point wasn't the money, it's the principle... despite them screwing up by not having lettuce, this employee, instead of being apologetic and trying to make it up to us somehow, was rude and dismissive. I then asked to speak to the Manager. As is unfortunately often the case, rather than let me speak to him, she went into his office (which was right there, adjacent to the front desk), and biased him to her version. The Manager told her no, and she came and smugly told me the same thing. I was of course right in the doorway, the Manager could've easily talked to me directly, but he did not. So I asked him directly this time "I understand y'all ran out of the lettuce, and that's ok, but if we only go up to the platform to see the giraffe, sans lettuce, shouldn't there be a discount on the fee?" He started giving me the standard bureaucrat-flexing-his-muscles excuses of why they couldn't do that. Again, condescending and dismissive. I told him "Ok, this is unfortunate bc until now we've had a good experience here. But now I'll have to leave a negative review." He said he was fine with that. I asked him for his name. He refused to give it to me, instead stating "You can look it up on our website." And he was lying about this btw -- his name is not on the website. If they guy is gonna take a stand, why not share his name? And this from a "Manager" who is in the customer service business, unbelievable. Again, don't expect any ownership or apology from this Owner. He's gonna leave defensive comments, and then go cry to Yelp to have it taken down, again. Look at all the other negative reviews of this place -- that tells you what you need to know. There was barely anyone here when we went -- it will likely be out of business anytime. And with this kind of ownership, management, and employees, it's no surprise why.
