In order to make an appt, you have to take a front and back picture of your current hair and the color you want. I am a natural brown and lighter highlights and wanted to go a darker chocolate brown with ashy blonde highlights. I got there and she told me she wouldn't be able to give me the ashy blonde highlights even though my hair was light. She then balayaged my hair and let her assistant put the darker dye in. I wasn't checked on once and the assistant left dye on my face, arms, neck etc and it wasn't until I asked for dye remover that they put it on my face but it was too late. I had to scrub it off when I got home. I also found dye all over my shirt when I got home. When she had her assistant blow out my hair, I wasn't facing a mirror nor was I when she BARELY cut my hair. I looked on the floor and there was literally once piece of my hair. She turned me around and was like have a nice day and I wasn't able to process the color when I first saw it. When I got home, I immediately cried because my hair was black with white balayage because she left it on for way too long. I called and asked for a refund. I wasn't asked if I wanted hairspray, the type of blow out, etc and to be honest the assistant burnt my ear on the curler. When I called back, I had a texting convo with the receptionist which was fine. I agreed to have her let her redo it. That night, I had found a video that Sarayah posted talking shit about me and called me a deeply unhappy person. Sadly I think she may own the salon. Anyhow, just poor communication skills in setting up the appointment. No one responded my text messages, just IG. On IG I asked for a range for how much a rewtist would be and all she could say was "$60 and up." Then when I arrived 12 minutes late, someone barked at me to wear a mask. Mind you there is a 15 minute grace period and I let her know in advance that I was running late. As she washed my hair she spilled water all over me and when I asked for a towel she ignored me. Ironically, because of the mask policy I couldn't even drink water. So after almost 3 hours, I left the salon parched and thirsty. Additionally, it started getting cold and I had to put on my hoodie. This was a BIG deal to interrupt her for 30 seconds. She was huffing and puffing, clearly annoyed. When she put me under the dryer and I asked how long I'd be under she wouldn't tell me. She just said "until it's dry." So I had to get up to look despite my hair already being dry. Nonetheless, I continued to be kind and respectful. At the end I noticed she was snapping pics so I asked her if she was taking photos. She claimed just to show me, which I appreciated because the salon barely had any mirrors. I thought it was weird that she didn't even ask to take my photos but requested she send them to me. Despite all this I still tipped, which went unthanked. I will say I really did love how my hair turned out. She also gave me a number of hair maintainance tips to prevent my locs from falling out. Now here is why I am writing this review... I get home and it turns out she posted the pictures on both Instagram and Facebook. When I raised the issue, telling her to take down the posts and refund me, she didn't acknowledge lying to me or violating my privacy. She took the photos down, but we all know nothing can truly be deleted from the internet. Also Autumn did not refund me AT ALL. In fact she started bringing up random issues she had with me like I showed up in work out clothes so people thought I was unsanitary and I was supposedly 25 minutes late but she still took me and gave me extra time.... all signs of mental instability given that I messaged her when I arrived and there is a timestamp clearly showing I was only 12 minutes late. To top things off she had the nerve to say that she didn't accept my apology for being late. Wow...I will never go back to this place. I knew he needed a massage badly, and I really haven't gotten a facial in well over a year, so I booked us a Groupon and we were off on a Saturday morning for our pampering day! We were greeted by Carmen, who manages the appointments for the day. We were taken to a waiting room downstairs, as we were the first appointment of the morning. My hubby was taken first, and then I was taken into the facial room. What awaited me was an hour of real bliss. Facials, according to me, are all about the extractions, and I was really pleased that I didn't have a crap ton to have taken care of. However, my facialist, really amped up my skin! She was incredibly gentle and explained to me the overall health and condition of my face, which I really appreciated in knowing and learning. She did a treatment to remove some of the excess dead skin cells, and the creams throughout were really aromatic. I met with my hubby afterwards, and he said he was broken apart and put back together again. I guess he needed it afterall.
