Ir seems that Soul Craft is one of the only local coffee shops that hasn't swapped to a really sweet chai mix...instead their friendly Barnstable still serve it with the traditional flavors. Soul Craft rocks two locations in Cookeville...my favorite in the historic West Side and another conveniently located on Mahler Ave at TTU. Soul Crart on Broad St has limited seating but is a great location to relax, and I suggest giving it a try. read more

This place is a coffee lover's dream. I ordered a latte and the espresso was rich and perfectly balanced, not a hint of bitterness, which is rare to find. You can tell they're using quality beans and actually know what they're doing behind the machine. I also tried a pour-over on a later visit and it was just as impressive, smooth with a really clean finish. Everything tastes fresh and made with care, not rushed. We stopped by here when traveling through Cookeville, and it is such a cute place! The coffee is great, and they make all of their syrups in house! Their staff is also friendly and knowledgeable. The icing on the cake for me, though, was finding out that the owner cannot have gluten and is passionate about offering delicious treats for gluten sensitive people! The place was very cute and cozy inside. It felt like a coffeehouse. The baristas were fast and very nice. The coffee was strong and tasty. I would have given this place. A five star had not been for the insane amount of flies that were by, the table by the window. When we sat down, there was two flies that were very persistent but we didn't think anything about it. While we drank our coffee, the two turned to about seven and one actually got inside of my coffee. We will come back though. Just sit away from the door/ window :) read more

This shop gets 5 stars from me! It hits a special place in my heart, not only because it's in Tennessee (my dream state) but the service was amazing. The location is in a nice quiet area, the ambience is nice too and so are the staff. We ordered some homemade biscuits with egg and cheese, some muffins and lattes. No complaints here, we had a great time and everything taste so good. Oh yes! The best view was that adorable well behaved doggo sitting across our table. Definitely made the experience even better. Excellent coffee and service. I'm a coffee snob so here is the deal. The espresso is from a roaster called Edison out of Texas. Great coffee. Very smooth and no weird taste notes. I don't use flavoring in my lattes so that's my tell for a great espresso. The drip coffee is from Crema in Nashville. Crema is Nashville's best roaster so enough said about that. One of my absolute favorite weekend stops in Cookeville! Follow this mobile coffee trailer on IG of FB and they are quick to tell you where they will be that weekend. Their hours vary, but they make sure to pull you out of the house so you can enjoy the sunshine and their delicious coffee! I am obsessed with their chai lemonade soda. It is everything and more. Being that my boyfriend and I drink chai at home, this was a very special and unique twist that literally blew our minds lol. No I'm not exaggerating! One of my other personal favorites is the bourbon barrel mocha which has their homemade Olive and Sinclair chocolate (from Nashville) sauce in it! So delish! Not too sweet, either. Gluten free pop-tarts!! This is still the only place I have ever seen gluten free pop-tarts sold, and it was fantastic. The flavor was hot chocolate, and it didn't seem gluten free at all. I just moved to Cookeville from a larger city out of state and am a bit of a coffee shop snob. Soul Craft hits all the right buttons for me -- just as good, if not better, than the best coffee shops in the city I previously lived. Their syrups and flavorings are all house-made (the only coffee shop I've found in Cookeville that does that) and it makes all the difference. My favorite is the golden bear latte. They also have a great selection of pastries and breakfast foods including, thankfully for me, 1-2 rotating gluten free items (which can be tricky to find in Cookeville). The ambiance is lovely - they recently added more two top tables and have some year round Christmas lights in the back that provide a nice pop of color. I recommend this place strongly! read more

Having a bad cup of joe is literally the pits and that hasn't happed yet at Soul Craft. I would even go as far to say that that Soul Craft offers the best " Craft " Coffee drinks in Cookeville. Hold your horses though. As of this review, Cookeville doesn't really offer a great Coffee experience. Maybe someday Soul Craft Coffee will be such an establishment. read more

Adorable little coffee shop in the heart of Cookeville. I really enjoyed sitting in here and studying on a weekday morning. It was nice and quiet and the atmosphere was just right. I also enjoyed the coffee. We tried a specialty latte as well as the black drip coffee. I would probably not be a regular just because I drink black coffee and they do not offer refills on plain coffee (which I personally think is silly), but if I had someone come to town or was meeting someone it's a nice little place to go. read more

First time going to Knoxville from Nashville we looked for a local coffee shop and found Soul Craft Coffee. Such a quaint and peaceful area. There's parking along the street. Even if you have to walk a bit, it's nice to enjoy strolling the block and shops. We got a Maple Horchata and a Whiskey coffee (I believe). Both really good. I appreciate the suggestion to add a shot of expresso to ease the sweetness of the Maple Horchata. Great and kind service. Very clean and inviting. Definitely recommend! read more

After the long drive I was really craving a nice iced latte, however I wanted to find a local coffee shop instead of stopping at Starbucks. Soul Craft is located of a strip in the "down town" area of Cookeville. The shop itself was so cute! They offered fresh baked goods as well as an array of coffee options!! My first visit, but will not be my last. A very inviting and cozy environment. I especially enjoyed the outside sunlight from the uncovered windows at the front of the shop. I ordered the Vanilla latte coffee with milk; it was delicious. It seemed to have the perfect blend of coffee, vanilla and whip. The temp was also spot on, not to hot. The menu board features several local favorites, each designed with homemade ingredients. Conveniently spaced out tables adorn the shop which is decorated with a gentle rustic flare. Several tables had guest working from laptops and visiting but the volume was not loud in the shop. It's downtown Cookeville which adds to the hometown vibe. We came here one afternoon. One of us had a scone with cinnamon and chocolate with a honey glaze. The other of us had a decaf capaccino with a torched marshmallow topping. I would not normally eat such sugary sweet concoctions, but they are offered and so I decided to try Cookeville cuisine. The scone was good but the honey added a too sweet overtone that tricked down your throat leaving it feeling tickled. The scone itself was very good and not dry like a lot of scones. Decaf can never be very good, but it was a bit late in the day and it was my only option if I wanted to sleep. And honestly, it was okay. The marshmallow topping was pretty campfirey and yummy. The service was very good and better than other times we'd been there--once the server got very upset when I noted the temperature in the cafe--it required winter clothes in summer.
