I've become a regular around this store so much that I've had the pleasure of meeting other great patrons that love vinyl as much as myself. Hanging out here has become a pleasurable service as much as just going to a bar to have a drink with friends. I've learned a great bit and I'm eager to learn and listen to more. Prices are very reasonable on the CDs so I will definitely be back to check those out as new arrivals come in. They also hosted a meet and greet with the band Guttermouth and I was able to get the LP I won autographed by Mark (the singer). I walk into this store and Social D is on, I browse some records and find over a hundred dollars of music to add to my collection. The shear number of records in my area of expertise. 80's, and 90's albums galore. I picked up some colored wax and am looking forward to going back. I may go broke! Looking for alt, goth, punk, indie, this IS the place. Brace yourself, wax is expensive these days!

I could not believe how much the store has expanded over the years, including an annex two doors down that houses thousands of CDs. The amount of inventory here is almost overwhelming in the best possible way. As a music collector, it honestly felt like I had died and gone to heaven. No matter what genre you enjoy, there is an incredible amount to explore. I was especially excited to find a large selection of leftover Record Store Day titles, including two rare releases that I was thrilled to add to my collection. I also came across many original pressings of 1980s LPs and 12" singles, along with a huge number of CDs in the annex, including several out-of-print titles that are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Everywhere I looked, there were hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Atlantic Sounds is the kind of record store where you could easily spend an entire day -- or several days -- browsing and still not see everything they have to offer. I am so glad to see how much they have grown and expanded since my last visit. It remains an absolute paradise for music lovers and collectors.

I'm not saying that's a negative, it's actually quite a positive. Even through the 3 of them were going through a big collection, they still stopped to help us. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because of how I personally shop for records. I'm not what you'd call a crate digger. If you are, then you'll love this place. I know there are many, many crate diggers out there. Just wanted to mention it not being my style in case anyone else wanted to know what to expect. We picked up a couple of records while we were there, so it was a good visit. It helped make up for the other place in town that we stopped first.

The big stores like Best Buy no longer carry music show DVDs (like The Band's Last Waltz) but he's one of the few who has them. Young people should give this place a try-he has music from the 50s til now; additionally, has equipment, cabinets, and even electric guitars. He's knowledgeable, fair and approachable. He's located in the Beach Blvd Flea Market so you can also check out some awesome snacks (hot garlic peanuts) and fresh veggies, seafood, etc.

The inventory is really interesting and deep but it is dirty and a lot of the records are in poor condition. Again, I like to dig, but in these circumstances I don't want to pay boutique prices- they wanted $10-15 for 12" records I can get near-mint on discogs for $5. They should consider charging less considering the amount of labor they are putting on the customer. I pulled out a pile of about 20 records but put back 10 because they were scratched and skipped out on 9 more because I could get them cheaper elsewhere. Came out with one record and filthy fingers. No regrets, but I probably won't come back. Nice people though!

I was only able to be in the space about 5 minutes before I felt too claustrophobic and had to leave. There are thousands and thousands of records, cassettes, 8 tracks, CDs, and audio equipment everywhere in this store however - almost like a hoarder house there are pathways carved out of these records and you have to one foot in front of the other carefully walk through without tripping. In the case of an emergency (god forbid) I wouldn't want customer or employee alike to be placed in a bad situation because of how unmanaged and chaotic this establishment is.
