Family First Adolencent Services was recommended to us during an emergency situation. Our son…read moreneeded immediate treatment, however there is a lack of Adolencent Services in our area. Within 12 hours my son and I were on a plane to Florida with no real idea of how things would be once we arrived. I had a small window of time in which to visit the house where my son would be residing. The staff were very helpful and thorough with the intake process, as well as answering any question my son or I had. I left my son in the hands of people I had no idea about, yet left Florida feeling we had made the correct decision. From that point on the communication and updates along the way were frequent and based on our schedule...not theirs. All this communication was helpful in helping us to understand the process for our son, as well as engaging us all as a family. We were made aware of our son having an upper respiratory infection as well as the need for his wisdom teeth to be removed while there. They made sure he saw the appropriate doctor each time and made sure he had everything to heal and return to the daily routine. Even with these setbacks he was able to get caught up in school with the help of Lisa working with our school district. Through individual and group therapy, our son learned about the underlying issues that would lead him to substance abuse and how to better deal with his emotions and impulsive behavior. After 2.5 months away, we were invited to the 3 day family engagement weekend. This was such an amazing weekend that we as parents were able to learn about our sons treatment, while engaging with other parents. Mike G is well educated on all the addiction, behavior and treatment options beyond Family First. He teaches the NARM Method which was a totally different approach and one that my husband and I had never heard of. Mike G explains everything precisely and has the gift to emotionally connect with the boys as well as the parents. The engagement weekend was so emotionally moving that we didn't want to leave even though Mike G had given us new tools to use as a family to help in our sons return home after 90 days. I can not express our gratitude for everyone at Family First! They definitely become an extension to your family by the time your son is ready to move on to his next step in treatment. I truly wish we lived closer to continue our journey through their family therapy sessions and alumni groups. We highly recommend Family First Adolencent Services!

This facility, run by inexperienced "therapists" etc. (recent college graduates who are underpaid,…read morewithout parenting experience) - tore my family apart. Please do your research before admitting your child here. They do not follow laws and court-ordered parenting plans, and although they say they are "Family First" - they are not. They have no idea how to run therapy sessions and bridge the child to the parent. My relationship with my child is WORSE due to their inexperienced, unqualified, unstructured involvement. Do your research! If you want a healthy relationship with your child, DO NOT admit your loved one here.

People need to know. Cipriani not only talked about herself and her relationship with her daughter the entirety of our last appointment, but at the end, she claimed she was scared for her life because a man her daughter was talking to was black. I immediately became uncomfortable and told her that that was an extremely racist comment and her response was that she's not racist because her daughter is mixed. With Donna Cipriani's racism aside, she is not a good therapist. As I stated before, there were many instances where she talked about herself for almost entire appointments and she does not seem to really know what she's doing. She didn't know the term "gaslighting". What kind of therapist doesn't know what gaslighting is? All in all, you can find a better therapist than this.
