Wow! Don't even know where to start to convey the experience with Sound Advice - Daniel & Kyle. From the quote to the design plan to the installation - exceptional. They are punctual, they listen to what you want - not what they want to install but what will work for you. They will use any existing equipment of yours that they can - unlike some of these companies that want to sell you all new. For me, they installed a total indoor & outdoor sound system throughout the home plus 65" TV, moved one 65" TV to another area and made sure all TVs throughout the home were connected and wires hidden. They upgraded the internet connectivity so there are no dead zones. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! Do NOT go to these guys!! They didn't return our phone calls for days. Our system was beeping loudly 3 times every 10 seconds for over 24 hours & we tried to call them & they wouldn't respond. We didn't have our TV or WI-Fi working & they said they would come back to help in a week!!! They have zero customer service & don't care if we were inconvenienced. It's amazing they are still in business with such lack of customer service. The only thing I can think is they have their friends & family write good reviews. Contacted Daniel at SOUND ADVICE about an AV project I needed done. We then set a time to meet. First thing that impressed me about Daniel was that he is EASILY reachable and works to your schedule. When we met, within 5 minutes it was clear to me that Daniel is very personable, professional, and knowledgeable about his business. The things I needed fixed were: 1) too many remotes, 2) upgrading the sound of surround sound system, 3) needed 65" TV installed and 4) WIFI connectivity in the house is spotty at best. Daniel had solutions for all those issues during his visit with me. Two days later I had a preliminary quote in my hands, which I felt was VERY reasonable. We set a date for him to do the work. Daniel and Kyle showed up at 8am (as promised) on the agreed upon day. They immediately jumped in to working their game plan. Skipping all the work details, by lunch time, we had our TV installed (looks built-in), the surround sound was working better than ever, we had one remote (instead of 5) and we had WIFI throughout the house. Plus, they cleaned up the work areas to where you wouldn't have known someone had been working there. Daniel and Kyle made this project look easy. Selecting service providers (etc.) can be a daunting task; however, if you need ANYTHING accomplished Audio/Video wise, contact Daniel at SOUND ADVICE, you will be over the moon glad you did. I was in search of a contractor to mount two of my televisions and do all of the in-wall wiring. I came across Sound Advice on Yelp after reaching out to several contractors and it was an easy decision to go with them right from the start! Danny was there to answer all of my detailed questions and I knew based on that, he was the right man for the job! And it also helped that his quotes were totally reasonable. From the initial call, I was able to schedule an appointment for a couple of days later. Him and his helper, Chris, showed up right on time. It was raining that day, so I was concerned they might be late, but that wasn't the case. They came in and got right into the job. These guys knew what they were doing - it was clear they had done thousands of these installs. They were able to mount a 70" tv with all the wires hidden in about an hour. Next, they did the tv in our master bedroom and ran into what would have been a challenge if I had done the job myself but it was nothing to them. Danny is an outside-the-box thinker and found solutions throughout the entire install. This is really important for the type of work that he does since you never know what's behind walls. Aside from the excellent customer service, efficient and clean install, competitive pricing, they were just down right good people. I joined Yelp quite honestly to write this review. I am not normally a review writer, but after the quality and HONESTY of service and craft I thought it was worth it to let everyone know how much of a SOLID PRO these guys are. For one, when you let someone into your home, no matter their appearance, you must be cautious. My wife was home alone along with our kid and I was nervous about having 3 AV install guys in my place. My wife told me they were courteous, quiet, respectful, diligent, and most important, all of the things she was worried about.... like damaging our walls and paint, chipping furniture or just in general doing careless work.....well it was exactly the opposite. From the electrical wiring, drilling, tv mounting....everything was perfect. Straight up this is quality and value. Sound Advice is reasonably priced. I purchased two televisions and had them mounted in hard to reach places. I had a sophisticated infra red remote extender and lights re-wired to accommodate my new system in multiple rooms. I thought this was going to be about a week's worth of work. Took these guys two days. They explained everything they did clearly and professionally. But in a way that you could tell they were honest and sincere. There was no sales talk. But here's the real reason why these are the guys for your AV custom install work.... PRICES.... Whenever I buy something, I always check amazon and online for the real deal price. Then I know if I'm getting worked over. This guy on a Sony 4K HDTV (2 of them) came in below the advertised price on best buy. The install was all in the hourly rate and he came in about 8% below the estimate. In this life, and especially in Southern California/OC, I have learned you get what you pay for. When you move into a new home and are investing serious money, you really take a serious interest in making sure you get what you paid for. And that the people you are paying don't take your business for granted or look at you like a mark waiting to be taken advantage of. Made an appointment with Daniel for a tricky HDMI cable issue. I had a broken HDMI in an in wall installation, so I had no surround sound at all. Daniel came out exactly on time and with his assistant used an extra RG6 cable that was in the wall to get the HDMI working again. Lots of troubleshooting and searching for the right cable was involved. Daniel did a fantastic job getting it to work. He also repaired/ replaced my entire IR repeating system so now my Harmony universal remote controls all my components that are hidden in a closet. Thank you Daniel ! Highly recommend. Let me just give those out there reading this the bullet points of the service they provided: 1st- Timely: Danny and his crew came out within 2 days to get the job done. 2nd- Helpful: They were able to pick up the other items associated with the job that I didn't have before they got over here and if I didn't have it when they got here and started doing the work, they had what I needed. 3rd- Malleable: When installing, they paid attention to aesthetics and what I as a homeowner was looking for to get the job done but to also make it look clean and let me know what they would do in my situation... 4th- Advisory: They provided me with advise and knowledge of why they were doing things, what needed to be done, what the standards are, and how they would do it given the space. HUGE help for a first time homeowner with no idea of how these things work. 5th- Cleanly: I've had contractors come and just THRASH my house and leave it filthy. Danny had drop cloths and a mini vac to make sure it looked like they were never there. 6th- Fairly priced. Very competitive on costs. And finally... 7th- Great Work: They did a GREAT job. My TVs, sound bars, etc. are mounted where we wanted them (although in odd spots to those who look at the pictures) and they look seamless. He was here for about 20 minutes and was unable to complete the project because I had to leave for an appointment. I paid Daniel $140 for this. After the holidays I asked him to return and finish project which I assume would take less than 15 minutes. Daniel said he was happy to do so - for another $140. So basically Daniel is asking for $280 for less than one hour work. Sorry - will not call him back. Be forewarned. read more

Daniel and Preston did a great job on our stereo/TV system. I'm not very tech oriented and was worried there'd be too many buttons to push to turn on a TV show, or listen to music. However, Daniel designed a great system with a new 4K TV and a couple new wireless Sonos speakers added to our existing system. Everything works great! I love selecting music on my iphone and can easily adjust volume for different zones. It's simple once you play around with it for a while. The most sound advise I can ever give for Sound Advise is to NEVER USE THEM!!! This is my first negative YELP review but this has been a horrible experience of high prices and no service. Daniel was worse than worthless. I spent a lot of money to get a system that came with a home I purchased in San Juan Capistrano after selling my Newport Beach home. The 2 times they came they got my WiFi and TV working. The very next time I turned on the TV when they were gone, especially this weekend with the Dodgers and all the football, nothing worked. So two times they came and left us with NO TV or WiFi other than WiFi in one small room. To try to get them to come back or even return a phone call we had to wait for at least a week. Worst customer service I have ever had. As others have stated, there are a lot of 5 star but my only guess is these are friends or family. We are so very frustrated and they could care less about messing up a system, blaming others which is not true and not willing to come back to at least get our TV and WiFi up and running. read more

I used Sound Advice to install my TV on the wall and add surround sound in the ceilings. I also had them install 7 ceiling fans in my house.
