But what impressed me most was the honesty. After looking things over, he explained that since I was already having roof work done, the roofing contractor would likely handle the heat-cable removal -- meaning I didn't actually need their service. Fixed it up, replaced the outlet, and tested the whole circuit. He also flagged a couple of outlets in the garage that had no ground which is apparently common in older homes.
