We hired Mike's team at EQ Technologies twice for some work at our home and they did a great job…read moreboth times! The first time was a small job to run HDMI and CAT5 to the area above our living room fireplace where the TV is mounted. I always prefer hardwired over wireless (as you should). They had to run the HDMI through the wall and outside the house below the vinyl siding so Mike made sure to use outdoor, low temperature rated cable. We haven't had any issues in the almost 2 years since the install. They also adjusted the positioning of our TV mount because the previous house owner had it mounted way too high. Recently we hired Mike and his team again to install a 7.2.4 home theater in our basement. I bought a lot of the components myself and for the items I didn't buy, Mike was able to price match or beat the pricing I was quoted from online dealers I found from AVSforum! It's nice to get the best pricing possible especially in this economy. Retail pricing is just too much! Mike and his lead installer worked for 3 days in total. Day 1 was for prewiring speaker wire, and HDMI, and the RCA subwoofer cables and wall plates were completed on day 2 and they started cutting out the drywall for the in wall speakers. I volunteered to help out where I could to keep things on track and in line with the original estimate cost. Mounting the screen was the most time consuming part but it came out great in the end. The projector was mounted and the image adjusted and lens shift dialed in by Mike and team. They also adjusted the speaker levels on the AVR and programmed my remote. After I installed my subwoofers, everything sounded and looked amazing! I did have one issue with an amplifier not working, but that was quickly addressed after I dropped it off at the shop to be tested. It was sent back and Greg, the office manager got a replacement on order quickly. Be sure to give EQ Technologies a call for all your TV, home theater, security and smart home needs! They're very reasonable with pricing compared to their competition and their service is top notch. Support a local small business!

Audio Craft (at least the Westlake store I used to frequent, before they closed) is/was a living…read moretestament to a great, recently bygone era of full sized, full range 'high end' audiophile stereo systems back when dynamic range and superior sonics ruled the day! A day and age when recording and mastering was done with such care and perfection that the music sounded breathtaking and palpable! Today, so much music sounds overdriven, flat, and compressed (Google 'the loudness wars' to read on the subject). Such an utter shame, really. So many younger people now listen to their music via small, compromised PC speakers or cheap iPOD ear buds or headphones. They don't know what they're missing! I get a kick out of my nieces and nephews' incredulous responses when I play an LP, SACD or HDCD on my McIntosh, Magnepan, or Legacy Audio full-range floorstanding speakers (using tubed preamps and line buffers)! And I quote, "HOLY SHIT Uncle George... I had no idea music could sound this incredible!!!". Uh, yes, and the sad thing is that a whole generation from here on in is getting largely shortchanged...

Overload situation. One channel in the amp is blown. The unit shuts itself off frequently. Before that, he added an expensive cooling fan, which did nothing. One of the speakers never worked properly. He won't return calls, so we gave up on him. This was 2 years ago and now I feel that reporting this is the correct thing to do.

Im so thankful I took my gear to them instead of shipping it off to an authorized tech in NYC. They saved me several hundred dollars and did great work in a timely manner. This was on a custom hand made dj mixer from Australia with no manual to reference mind you. The variety of different gear they are able to work on is staggering. After I found their entrance it was smooth sailing. They also back their work for 30 days so you really can't go wrong. Highly recommended.

I would call them weekly and for the first month the response was we haven't gotten to it. Ok if work is ahead of me I accept that. because of my repeated calls I was told they would move me up on the list to have the tech make a diagnostic evaluation on it which never ever happened. Then after that it was BS about having to build some "special diagnostic software" to access the ethernet port on the back of the amplifier or equipment to make an assessment. they told me they couldn't get enough information from the manufacturer or off the Internet. I could except that for a repair are you telling me place that repairs amplifiers can't even do a general diagnostic evaluation on an amplifier for god sake?? Then finally after two months I called to just tell them I wanted to come pick up my amp and take it someplace else and their response was "we are out on the road for a week with the some band but we'll see if we can find anybody to let you in to the store so you can get your amplifier." what a joke this place is. They have no business whatsoever advertising home audio equipment repair. The only thing I got for my money was excuse after excuse about why they had done nothing and a bunch of BS. They could not even provide me a guess what might be wrong with it based upon a bench evaluation by one of their techs. It is really hard to find audio equipment repair shops nowadays as everything is disposable but I can tell you this, Pro Sound certainly isn't one of them! Stay away if you need stereo repair.

Roger and team found the right solution to upgrade my theater surround sound system with sonance in…read morewall speakers. Ordered them on a Monday afternoon and the install team got it all done on Wednesday. I thought I might have been able to do this myself. After watching the three pros mount the TV on the wall after installing two gang boxes and clean up all the wires, I was blown away. The final step was optimization of the sound and pumping up the rear surrounds which were always a bit light based on the factory settings. They also made the most of my cable universal remote and renamed the HDMI inputs so it is much more user friendly. The wall paint match on the speaker screens completed on the same day was the icing on the cake!
