This ancient independent cinema is like your 90 year old grandfather, to some he may seem like a waist of space but if you are willing to look beyond your cineworld unlimited membership and IMAX bollocks you will find something amazing which deserves your respect. Firstly the seats are a bit uncomfortable, the toilets are a bit wiffy and the blasted buses block it's view 90% of the time, I have no qualms other than that. Potentially it's greatest asset is that it is more than a cinema with a gorgeous cinema historia bar, welcoming café and art gallery all in one building on the seafront. Other nice stuff is that the staff all seem to be pretty relaxed and approachable, student tickets are £3.50, and it is worth our admiration, respect and support due to its unimaginable longevity.

Row G is the best because the extra leg room that divides rows between stalls and rear seats. You have to get your goodies from the main theatre as there is an abysmal selection offered in the Ritz.
