About a year ago, I bought the third pair of hearing aids that I had purchased in approximately 5-6 years. The two prior agencies with which I had dealt improved my hearing (the second better than the first), but I continued to have difficulty hearing, for example, in noisy restaurants and when listening to TV. Because my goals were, of course, to hear clearly and be part of the conversation when in a crowd, I responded to one of A&A's advertisements describing the superiority of their hearing aids. Indeed, they were, and I gladly purchased a pair. The service I received following the purchase was excellent. Over the past several weeks, my wife and I noticed that my hearing was again declining. As soon as we returned from a recent vacation, we had the good fortune to meet with Dr. Martinson. We found her to be remarkably knowledgeable, pleasant and compassionate. When one calls to make an appointment, the automated voice says they are accepting new patients. I…read moremade an appointment and then when I called to reschedule, I could not get through to speak to anyone. The automated message said I was "7th in line, 13 minutes." In fact I tried calling several times throughout the day and each time I was further down the queue and l would have to wait longer in line. There was no option to leave a message and no email on their website I could use to cancel. I did not want to get charged for missing my appointment so I went to their office. There was only one person at the front desk and after I explained she informed me, "it doesn't surprise me, we are short staffed." I decided to fully cancel my appointment and go elsewhere. It seems to me that they are more than willing to add new patients but do not have enough front desk staff to appropriately support the patients' needs.

Our toddler at the time was very shy, so her approach of play-based speech therapy was the ideal fit for a shy kiddo. He looked forward to sessions and didn't realize it was "work", but instead saw it as a fun activity where he was able to play with a variety of toys with an energetic playmate. I don't see how Mandy has the energy to play with the little ones all day, but she does--and really seems to enjoy it. The play/session environment is comfortable, welcoming, clean, and has a toy store's worth of different toys (and Mandy is always trying out new ones for the repertoire). Mandy immediately identified a structural issue that a previous formal evaluation from another speech therapist missed. Our child progressed wonderfully and is now outgoing, able to express himself clearly and with a range of vocabulary and sentence structures, and is doing advanced language and verbal work at school. Mandy has made an enormous difference in the life of my 9yo. My son has been in and out of various…read morespeech pathologist's offices since he was 4, and I could never hear or see a measurable difference in his speech until we found Mandy. The difference in a year with her is greater by far than the difference in 5 years with everyone else combined. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with her. She is incredibly effective as a speech pathologist, and the results are really clear. Even more than that, she is flexible, patient, adaptive and works with my son rather than at him. Her humor shines through steadily, and she is very kind, and my son can sense that and relaxes with her. She has specific, targeted exercises and games she goes through with him - he has only begun to figure out that the games are work - and gives us home practice in such a way that he knows what he needs to be doing and how to do it. My son can be a handful - so she works in movement breaks and tunes the games to his interests and approaches it with humor that makes him feel welcome. She gives prizes after so many stickers earned - set at a reasonable, attainable pace - and I noticed that, having figured out my son liked puzzles and stuffed animals, that the prizes being offered have quietly become things he enjoys. He vibrates for the opportunity to win them. Even the games have become quietly tuned to his needs and preferences; I've never seen so many games of Memory played. My son invented his own version of Go Fish with the articulation cards, and she went so far as to write down the rules so they could play it again. Seriously, she is *amazing*. As a note: my son went from throwing tantrums at the very idea of speech to cheerfully practicing at home and happily showing up to his speech therapy. Because she praises him for his effort and his progress and specifically what he is doing right, he can aim for that specific thing again and *believes her* when she tells him he's working and she can tell. I cannot tell you what a difference that has made. Most importantly, my son went, in less than a year, from being unintelligible unless someone had known him for years, to being a confident, talkative, outgoing kid with a lot to say. A few months in with Mandy, I stopped having to 'translate' for him. Months ago, he suddenly started talking non stop, because he could be understood and heard and participate. Before that, he only spoke that much with me, and he chose the most efficient script to short hand what he wanted to communicate, as speaking was tedious and hard work and he might have to repeat himself five times. Now, he is speaking happily and with assurance with his friends and with his teachers, and does not hesitate to step up and speak when called upon to do so. Mandy has made SUCH a difference in his life, and I am forever grateful. She is worth every penny and moment of time. I highly recommend her; you won't find a better speech pathologist.

My 96 year old boss needed a new hearing aid charger. I was happy to find that The Hearing Doctors…read morein Rockville had one for sale. The receptionist told me I could bring it back for any reason. When I brought it back however, I was told by a different staff member that there would be a $75 restocking fee and that the person I spoke to was new and should have told me about that policy. Despite their failure to train their staff properly, the doctor made the decision to take advantage of a senior citizen and refused to waive the $75 restocking fee. Shameful and outrageous.

We were able to get in to see Dr Daly quickly (within a week with Dr Daly). Dr Daly was kind, professional, and absolutely amazing - everything we did not expect. He quickly diagnosed my daughter (not only right frenulum, but tight upper lip), explained the condition, explained our options (we decided to proceed with the short procedure), and did the procedure efficiently and as gentle as possible, since she was only a week old. He even gave us some time in the room so I could nurse and calm her. I can't say enough kind words and would def recommend Dr Daly.

Dr. Taylor is a quack. I went into his office with pain and pressure in my ears. He prescribed me…read morewith OTC Flonase and to routinely hold my nose/blow (like when on an airplane) and the cause was seasonal allergies and possibly even hearing loss (I'm under 30 btw). I was skeptical, but he's the doctor, so I bought the Flosnase and did as told. Two days later my symptoms only got worse and I was SO uncomfortable. I went to a different ENT doctor who immediately diagnosed me with a double ear infection and said they were flabbergasted that Dr. Taylor was not able to diagnose me only two days prior, as my symptoms were extremely clear. I needed two rounds of prescription medication for my infections to clear 100%. What's worse? Dr. Taylor's office sent me a hefty bill (4 months later may I add) and when I called to dispute was slapped with attitude and no absolve. I'll have to dispute through the Attorney General now and I'm sure I'll be dragged through a long process, but it's quite serious when a doctor is practicing specialized medicine and not able to diagnose such a basic condition. I'll also add that the office was dirty and cluttered with stains on Dr Taylor's lab coat. I would be shocked if anyone decided this practice was trustworthy of facial plastic surgery let alone treating regular ear/nose/throat issues.
