All of these descriptions are true, but for this review we will stick with "old." The problem with old houses is that they come with new problems. So many new problems! It's best to have a general contractor on speed dial, and I do! Associates is my first call, and generally my last as well. Now that I think of it, my first visit from them was my first day in this house. They were able to figure out why my water was not hot and repaired the water heater. Whew! Most of the work they've done for me has been similar, but all quick and easy. Then, as in subsequent repair visits, I was charged a minimal amount for a maximum output of work. These men are all obviously very good at what they do, especially when what they do is a bit of everything that you might need done.

Low and behold he called back around 4:00 and offered to come by to fix my issue. He had to diagnose the problem by going through each outdoor outlet. Once he fixed the one issue, I asked him to investigate another problem within the house. Again, he was very thorough in his investigation and fixed the problem. I would definitely recommend him him. He's responsive, knowledgeable, thorough, and a friendly guy with very reasonable rates.

In that time we NEVER got an estimate so we thought they were coming back to look into it further/troubleshoot a problem and then give an estimate. Nope. They came back out (again, never gave an estimate), did some minor work that looked more like troubleshooting to find out what the work was going to be and then give an estimate. Instead we were hit with a $400 bill for barely any work! Absolutely ridiculous. No way in hell we will ever use them again. This is the second time we've called them for something. The repair was done by brushing paint over the site and applying a substance of some type at cost of $1600 - entirely out of pocket. I have two additional vehicles for repair, one covered by Insurance for "accident" damage = about $1900; final vehicle, a low-mileage 2001 Chev Silverado 1500: proposal = $4500!
