Great DJ that came through at the last minute! I Contacted DJ Preston about an annual event we have for our hospital, but our DJ cancelled on us last minute. Preston came through! He kept everything very classy early in the evening, then when dance hour came, he was mixing all of the hits and got most everyone shaking it on the dance floor. I loved the older style hip-hop dance tracks he had. Should have hired him in the first place (and will again next year) I should also note that DJ Preston is the 3rd DJ to host our event. The two previous years we hired different DJ's and they didn't work out.. Mostly their music selection was off, but one also talked on the mic too much. Their sound equipment didn't seem loud enough and Preston's you could actually feel on the dance floor (sorry not an expert on this stuff, just know what sounds good to me). I feel very fortunate to have found Preston and Tasha to handle DJing our wedding. I had our DJ cancel on us a couple months out and Preston had a cancellation that lined up, so we hired him as quickly as possible! He was on top of everything from the start, and always responded right away!! On our big day, he showed up early and had everything ready when we got there. The music and song blending was PERFECT!! we all danced the night away. I liked how he played newer music but also older songs you can dance to. Tasha who assists him was amazing too, very friendly and helped keep everyting on track since I didn't have a coordinator. As someone who used to work at a nightclub, I've heard my fair share of DJ's. DJ Preston is up there with the best of them! You can tell he actually works at his craft and knows what he is doing the way he was able to mix the songs together and keep everyone dancing!! Most wedding DJ's just play a song, then stop it, then play another song, but Preston blends them all so you never have time to stop dancing!! My biggest complaint is that I didn't really have time to sit down all night since he kept putting good songs on. I loved that he mixed in older songs with newer ones, and so did my mom! DJ Preston was the DJ for me my husband Brian's big day. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was amazing! We met up with him and his lovely wife (who was also great and ended up helping on our big day!) three times to go over everything and make sure every detail was correct. This wouldn't have been necessary, but we changed a few details at the last minute and Preston was kind enough to make time to get together again. He kept everyone dancing and was great at selecting the perfect songs all night. His setup looked great and everything sounded great. I tried reviewing before, but here it goes again. Preston did an amazing job DJing our wedding. very easy to communacate with an friendly. He responded quickly to emails and had some great ideas on how to do things. I feel lucky to have found him! His wife helped out with ours too and was great, very very nice and easy to talk too. I think she does wedding planning when she isnt working with Preston on his events. Our wedding was a few months ago and I told my cousin who is a teacher about him and she hired DJ Preston for their school dance too. DJ Preston and his assistant recently DJed our wedding, and I had to write a review which I rarely do because they rocked it!! Our venue was kind of an odd layout, but Preston was able to keep our large families dancing through the last song (even tho we had to move tables to create a dance floor). I was a little nervous since my family is not big on dancing but once the booze were flowing and Preston kept dropping all the right music, they were out there too!! We decided a little late in the planning process to have DJ for our wedding. We were very lucky to find someone with our date open. Preston was wonderful to work with in all the preparation. He was responsive and kept us on track. At the wedding ceremony and reception he and his assistant were beyond perfect! They kept everything to our schedule and were a huge help to our day! DJ Preston did a great job at our wedding, we highly recommend him! We were married at Mcmenamin's and had a blast. The food was good and the day went perfectly! Sound Wave and DJ Preston did a fantastic job at my wedding! I don't know much about djing but I know that he kept everyone dancing and kept playing good music. Best DJ in Knoxville! DJ Preston from Sound Wave was our DJ for our wedding and he did an amazing job! He got all of our songs in advance and actually played them when he was supposed to! Preston came all the way up to Kelso to DJ for a military appreciation even done by the Kelso Senior Center Association at the Catlin building. He. Was. AWESOME!
