This program featured George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue which remains one of America's most iconic musical statements, a fusion of jazz and classical tradition. From its unforgettable clarinet glissando to its sweeping, virtuosic piano solos, the piece captures the pulse and personality of early 20th-century America. Chaeyoung Park was a perfect choice for the soloist. Having played at Carnegie Hall & The Kennedy Center in D.C. , she didn't hold back here with us. Ms. Park brought a delightful and impressive sparkle to tonight's production with her skill, her artistry. Michelle Di Russo, a guest to KSO, conducted this program, which also featured vivid works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Carlos Simon, and de Falla. She brought the energy, a comedic flare and ultimate passion to make it come alive. It brought on emotion like nothing else can, and at times we leaned in, we laughed, we sighed, and we clapped. As an audience we were immersed in every note. The final set ended with a standing ovation from almost everyone in the room. Those on wheels just clapped higher above their heads and kept it rollin'. Parking was easy and relatively close in a covered garage. About a 5 minute walk to the theatre. Bring an umbrella if you expect rain, Only part of the walk is covered. Security checks upon entry. Bathrooms are relatively easy to locate and very clean. Consession stand is located near the entrance for small treats & drinks from sodas to wine, liquor and water. All staff were accommodating, attentive, informative, helpful and best of all pleasant. Would love to journey back for special performances.

The mix of black, white, and gold balloons was elegant and fun at the same time, and the giant gold "9" balloon was the perfect centerpiece. I especially loved that they included the matching cream bow balloon on the side (which tied everything together beautifully). The arch was super sturdy, easy to set up, and stayed perfectly inflated from setup through the entire celebration. The little thoughtful extras that made it look like it came straight out of a magazine. My daughter lit up the second she saw it and kept saying "This is the best birthday ever!" We've ordered balloons before, but nothing has ever come close to this level of quality and wow factor. Hands down the best decision we made for her party.
